Deranged sighed. "I'm sorry if you didn't hear me but we need to get going to the Crystal Empire...it's only a myth but in a book it said it was stashed in the hidden chamber at the Crytal Empire" Deranged said

 

Flame just stood there not sure what to say or do. He has never saw Pinkamena like this before.

Pinkamena slowly released Flame and backed off. "I'm sorry about that. We really should go and meet with the others. They probably have had better luck than we have." She said as she wiped away her tears and started to head out of the castle. She did hope that Flame was correct.

"Lets hope so" Flame said

 

 

Deranged closed the book and told the libarian get Twilight. "I just hope Solstice has luck finding the bloody hidden chamber" Deranged said to himself.

 

 

Meanwhile Solstice was destroying these things that are all over the Crystal Kingdom having to save a few crystal ponies in the process

Pinkamena walked outside the front entrance of the decrepit castle and looked up at the sky. Taking a few deep breaths, she turned to Flame. "Who should we meet up with? Deranged and Twilight in Canterlot, or Solstice in the Crystal Empire?" She asked Flame now that she has regained her composure.

Twilight smiled as she heard Deranged and left the Library. "We need to tell Solstice, Pinkamena, and Flame about this so we all can head to Crystal Empire" Twilight said as she left the library. "If we can find this book then we can stop a horrid disaster from happening"

Flame nodded and picked Pinkamena up. "Lets get going then" Flame said taking off really fast. "There is no way I am loosing one of my friends" Flame said as he landed in Canterlot and collapsed exhausted. "Though....flying really fast wears me out"

 

Deranged was about to teleport them both before seeing Pinkamena and Flame. "Well you just saved me a lot of time" Deranged said

Pinkamena felt herself get picked up off the ground by Flame and as they were flying, she nodded off to sleep.

 

She woke up to a city in blazes. Dead bodies were strewn about the streets in pools of blood. She wasn't doing anything, but she was slowly being moved to the center of the city. Along the way, she could hear screams and watched as some survivors were getting torn to shreds by dark creatures. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. "How could this happen?" Her words echoed as she came up to the city center where she saw a dark figure holding up a pegasus. She looked around and was horrified by what she saw. Twilight was hung with chains by her neck with a sword protruding from her chest. Deranged's body was laying in a pool of blood with his head crushed and unrecognizable. Solstice was impaled on a spire and his body was slowly sliding down, blood dripping from his body. She looked back at the dark figure and watched in horror as the figure tore the pegasus in half and threw it next to her. She looked at the mutilated body and nearly threw up as she saw it was Flame. She turned back to the dark figure and try to run, but she couldn't move no matter how hard she tried. The figure came up to her and all she could see was a silhouette. A light flashed and she saw that it was Equinox's face, but it wasn't the same. It wasn't him. This Equinox smiled as he brought up his katana. "Goodbye." He said as he brought the katana down...

 

Pinkamena woke up to a gasp and breathed heavily, trying to calm herself from that nightmare. She looked around and saw that they were in Canterlot where Twilight and Deranged had went. When they landed, Twilight and Deranged came up to them.

Twilight looked at Pinkamena worried. "Pinkamena are you okay....you look like you had a night mare" Twilight said. "Listen though Deranged has found out where the book is so getting it will be no problem at all" Twilight said as she looked at Deranged. "Tell them" Twilight beckoned

Equinox sighed before whistling. When he did a mare in black robes appeared. "What is it sir" The mare asked. "There is somepony here...get rid of him he's a white stallion and looks like me" Equinox said. The mare nodded and left.

 

 

Solstice was defeating the shades one by one before they started to back off. Relieved he w=continued forward before jumping back as the mare landed in front of him. "Who are you" The mare asked. "None of you bloody buisness" Solstice said.  The mare laughed before a spear shot from the ground under Solstice who in turn narrowly avoided it.

 

Deranged. "The Grimoire Weiss is at The Crystal Empire we need to get going and catch up with Solstice"

(I warned you didn't I? Also, it was quite sugar-coated 'cuz I know you hate uber grimdark. I could have said worse. XD)

 

"I'll be fine..." Pinkamena halfheartedly replied to Twilight. Even though she didn't want to show it, that nightmare had instilled a sense of fear in her that wouldn't go away. "We should get going fast then." She said to Deranged.

Solstice and the mare have been fighting for quite some time and the mare has not showed any signe of slowing down. Solstice however was tiring out a bit trying to keep up and not get attacked by the mare.

 

 

"Lets go then" Flame said. Deranged nodded as his horn glowed. "Last time I'll be able to do this far teleportation stuff" Deranged said

Pinkamena readied herself to be portaled to the Crystal Empire where Solstice was the last chance at finding the book they needed. "Celestia, please let us find this book." She muttered under her breath.

The mare made another lance shoot up and finally struck Solstice in his left hind leg. The mare laughed as she went up to Solstice. "Stuck now you damn pony..." The mare said. "Now it depends...should I end you know or let the soon to be Shadowlord finish you off

Twilight smiled before using her magic along with Deranged and teleported outside a few miles away from the Crystal Empire. "Well....we're not inside but we are pretty close at least" Twilight said. "Pinkamena...if you don't mind me asking...are you worried about Equinox" Twilight asked

Pinkamena came out of the teleportation like she usually did, slightly dizzy. She quickly regained her center of balance and the dizziness stopped.  She started to the castle when Twilight's question made her stop. She stood there for a good five seconds before she answered. "Yes. She said as she continued toward the Crystal Castle.

The mare cause three more lances to impale Solstice through his other legs before they disappeared. "You may go now Lydia" AEquinox said causing the mare to go away. "Solstice...What are you doing here...you know...I never thought I would had the chance to do this" Equinox said as he dragged Solstice to a spire.

 

 

Deranged sighed. "Come on lets go before it's too late" Deranged said. Flame nodded

Pinkamena started to run now towards the city. She felt that something bad was going to happen if they didn't hurry there. Going over her nightmare she had, she began to run faster and faster until she was at an almost dead sprint towards the kingdom.

Deranged eye twitched before he turned into a small ballof shadowas and speeded forward to the entrance.

 

Meanwhile

So Solstice....anylast words before I end you right here" Equinox said. "Get rid of that damn book Equinox..." Solstice said trying to break free only to be lifted up by Equinoxes Magic.

Pinkamena came up to the kingdom to find a path of ruin leading to the castle. She slowly walked up the destroyed street as she looked around to see everything around it in ruin. "He's been here." She said at it eerily echoed back to her. "We need to get to the castle fast." She finished as she ran to the castle.

"Wai...why all of a sudden" Twilight said before going to catch up to see Crystal Empire in ruins. "Oh no...has the corruption gotten that far" Twilight said before hearing Pinkamena. "You're right we do..." Twilight said heading after Pinkamena. "I hope Shining Armor and Cadence are okay" Twilight said to herself

Deranged used his lovely ability Shaodw meld to rush on pass them both by traveling through the shadows and made it to the castel. Without even waiting he made it to where the spire was and hid.

 

Equinox sighed. "You know...this book you spek of is what finally made me what I am now" Equinox said. "A corrupted demon" Solstice said. "No...A Shadowlord...the shade Lydia helped me with the former king and queen of the empire...they are both dead, mangled, and one is still alive...Cadence I believe it was" Equinox said.

 

Flame was running along side Pinkamena.

Pinkamena finally came up upon the castle and saw a familiar unicorn standing up, staring at Solstice. "Equinox! That's enough! Stop this madness!" She pleaded with him, hoping that he would stop and return back to normal. "This isn't you! Please, just get rid of that book!" She finished.

Equinox just laughed before impaling Solstice on the spire.  Deranged lunged from the shadows and attacked Equinox. "Damn it Equinox if I have to I will kill you my self" Deranged threatened before being swatted away with dark hand. Deranged emitted a dark aura before a skeletal hand appeared. The blood from solstice slowly was drawn to the book making the Dark hand bigger

 

  Bothe Equinox and Deranged traded blow to blw before Equinox shot Deranged straight to the ground from the castle. Deranged struggle to get up but was stopped by Equinox. "Deranged....Do you know how long I wanted to kill you...to slowly murder you" Equinox said and a smaller dark hand appeared and began to press Derangeds head down.

Pinkamena watched Equinox drop Solstice onto the spire and it impale right through 'Solstice's chest. She saw Deranged come out of the shadows and him and Equinox and him get into a fight. She wanted to help, but her nightmare was becoming real and she was frozen there in fear. When Deranged was on the ground getting his head crushed, She covered her face. "Make it stop!" She screamed out.

Equinox smiled as he crushed Derangeds head into a nice little puddle of broke skull, brain, and blood. "Anyone else want to defy me" Equinox said before seeing Twilight staring in horror. Equinox slowly walked toward her.

 

Flame watched in horror before getting back
