movies/tv Important: Hub's Pound Puppies needs fan support

Recommended Posts

This is an important message for all fans of Pound Puppies on The Hub Network;

Recently Eric McCormack (the voice of Lucky) tweeted that he thinks that Pound Puppies might be done, but no one has told him anything official.

There appears to still be some hope. I am not giving up, and other fans shouldn't either.

If you are a fan of this show, if you have been enjoying season 3, PLEASE write letters to Hasbro and tell them that you enjoy the show and want it to continue for a 4th season;

Write to;

Hasbro Inc.
1027 Newport Avenue
Pawtucket, RI 02861

And contact The Hub's "viewer relations" as well; http://corporate.discovery.com/contact/viewer-relations/

So please show your support and write letters to Hasbro, and contact Hub's viewer relations. Volume is the key. And if you know someone who likes the show, please share this info with them. In fact, please share this everywhere.

Please everyone, don't just do nothing.

Thank you.

To be fair, as someone who grew up with the original pound puppies; I am not that much of a fan of this new series. The art style, for one, turns me off and the characters don't seem to have the same charm as the originals. I know I should not compare, but tis how I feels.

I prefer the original paws down.

It would probably have more support if the animation style was better, the voice acting was a bit better, and the characters were a bit better. I'm not trying to be cruel but the show would simply be on longer if it was better.

I'm not sure if they took off the new Care Bears as well...but that wasn't all too great. Littlest Pet Shop would be better without the humans....so that show at least has something worthwhile about it...the pets.

Oddly enough....I don't know a single person who enjoys. My friend only watches what I usually show her honestly...and the new Pound Puppies isn't even on the list, and everyone else I know hates the animation style...

Have you even seen season 3? The show is animated by the same studio that animates My Little Pony, DHX/Studio B.  (Don't tell me you didn't know that?)

It was only episodes 1-7 of the series that had rough animation.

You may not have indeed to sound cruel, but you did, pretty heartless as well.

Do you guys really expect me to believe that (as pony fans) you aren't being biased?

Anyway, thanks for nothing guys.

I know it's the same animation studio. I don't recall sounding heartless for not enjoying a cartoon...and not wanting to support it when I don't enjoy it in the first place.

Seriously? You insulted every single aspect of the cartoon (insulting the actors and animators) and you claim that you aren't trying to be cruel?

Why did you even post in this thread then if you weren't trying to be cruel?

(a popular show can get cancelled too, you know)

I notice that you didn't answer me;

Have you seen any of season 3? When was the last time that you actually watched a recent full episode?

Plus, WHAT is all this talk about the animation style? What is this "style" you are referring to?

MLP's animation is more stylized that Pound Puppies.

Pound Puppies IS a good show.

It has many of the same aspects that make MLP good;

appealing characters,

a great voice cast

sharp humor

sweet storylines

Having seen some of season 3's episodes, I can vouch for the new Pound Puppies as being very well done. The season 3 premiere had Tara Strong doing a guest voice, as well as J.K. Simmons basically doing his J. Jonah Jameson role from the Spider-Man movies.

This review does a better job explaining than I could:

Being in Canada, however, I find it really difficult to get access to the series, but I was told that I can watch all three seasons on Netflix Canada, so... I better get an account there. >.>

Haven't picked up the show in a while (or *any* show for that matter; I've been too damn busy), but I don't want to see it get canned either. Show your support if you can, please!

Oh yeah, I will admit that I was being rather rude and I do apologize for that. I saw all of season 3 and in fact, it's my second favorite season, right after season 2, I'm not sure if you're trying to say it sucked or something. I'm guessing the only problem I actually really have with the show itself is the way the animation is presented, I suppose I should elaborate.

You know how MLP has its characters with a darker outline around their mane+tails and bodies right? You know, like this...

o5SuYLFLR3M.jpg

The darker pinks around her mane, tail, and body.

And how Pound Puppies has the same style type altogether, but with a bit of a lighter shade...

Personally, I think it may have to do with I can't stand dogs in the first place and I don't really care for the designs...except for the little dalmatian, and the dog named "Lucky", I think that's his name. Those are the only main problems I really have with the show, but I do suppose I was a bit cruel in my first post.

I've seen a few episodes, though they were all from season 1. The only thing that really stood out to me was John DiMaggio playing that fluffy dog. He kicked ass. Other than that, it's nothing special. There's certainly much worse stuff in kids' TV, but that doesn't make it good.

Who knows? Maybe if it gets canned, we'll see something better take its time slot. After all, the Hub itself only exists because an entire channel (Discovery Kids) got canned, so who's to say there's no silver lining to the situation?

I think Care Bears and Pound Puppies could end to make room for better shows. I've watched a few episodes of Pound Puppies and I didn't find it very entertaining. (I have not seen Season 3 though.)

LPS on the other hand, is actually kind of good! In my opinion its not nearly as good as MLP but the songs are made by Daniel Ingram which is nice and some of the characters are pretty good.
