Canter returned to his quarters with Geo. He opened the door to find Diamond still there. "Sorry to keep you waiting, but some business came up." he muttered awkwardly as he went to sit in front of her. "So how have you been?" he asked with a smile tring to get back on topic

Geo followed canter in to his quarters and saw diamond "so canter what was it like to have the most beautiful foal-sitter ever." he said looking at diamond, diamond blushed at Geo's comment then looked at canter "I've been good and it's okay you kept me waiting, i got to lay with sparkles and blaze and sing a little." she said looking down at sparkles and blaze.

Canter smilied. "That's good, you always did like to sing to me when a large storm passed over. Always kept me calm." he smilied remembering his days as a foal. He turned his head to Geo. "She was the best foal sitter I could have asked for! She played games with me, she read to me, she helped me with school work. Hay! She was like a second mother to me." he replied

Geo looked at diamond "i never asked how long have you guys lived here." he asked as he walked over to diamond and sat down, diamond thought about Geo's question for a minute "well about thirteen years cause we moved hear when i was five and canter was born here so yeah about thirteen years and yes i was and still am like a second mother canter." she replied as she looked at canter.

Canter smiled at Diamond, but slowly turned to a frown. I guess you technically are my mother now," he chuckled sarcastically thinking about his parents. "I mean givin the fact when you were old enough Frost and Ember both considered you to be a legal guardian if they.....they passed away." he said letting out a small whimper and huffed Diamond as hard as he could. He still hadnt come to grips with his parents death and he was happy that his technical "God Mother" was here more than ever.

Dukaan waited for what felt like a while and finally came to recognize there was not going to be any avalanche.  "Alright, might as well look around to see if there's any caves around the area, of course dragons like mountains and what not but...well, actually why am I watching over this city?  It seems like i'm just looking at it right now but I just have a feeling that this city needs a protector other than expertly trained guards..."  He was getting off track (which he rarely does) and started to pensively think of what it means to protect others.

diamond got up and ran over to canter and gave him a hug "oh i'm so sorry i feel bad now, i'm sorry i made you sad." she said as she kissed his forehead, Geo looked at canter "hey stay a way from my mare you."​ he said jokingly as he walked over to them with blaze and sparkles on his back.

Canter cried into Diamonds shoulder. "I-I just wish that they could have lived to see me make it this far." he said in between sobs. "You and Cynthia and the others are the only family I have left. You all took care of me when nopony else could." he continued as Blaze flew over to land on his shoulder and cooed softly. "Look at me, almost the age my father was when he took this job and I'm blubbering like a foal." he managed to say, sniffing in between words.

"Just look at all of this" Ink said, admiring the new city of New Aurastone as he walked back an forth carrying his luggage to the drawer, "I've heard about New Aurastone but I never thought I would see it for myself." But the quietness made Ink stopped talking as soon as he noticed that Flarita wasn't paying any attention to what he just said, he looked at Flarita only to find her sitting on the window, looking out in a very stiff body posture. Ink went near her and shook her body, "Uh, Flare?" 

Flarita was distracted by yet another anomaly in the skies, but now she was absorbed to it. Ink tried to determine where she was looking and as he found what it was, the anomaly has ceased and Flarita snapped back to reality, "You were saying?" she said it in such a normal manner, which it bothers Ink furthermore, "But..."

He looked at the sky to see the aftermath, the clouds were still swirling lightly almost unnoticed and that particular part of the sky was happening above the forest which Canter forbade Ink to go to.

The crystals glowed, and started to form. A dark feeling spread through the air."I'm finally free." A voice said, as a body formed from the crystals.

 

Cynthia sensed something was off and was worried. "I have to find the others." She thought, before galloping through the castle.

"Sir Canter, have you seen him." Ink asked the guards frantically, "No, I guess not, you just stood there lifelessly just like at Canterlot, which is amazing really- "

"Inky!" Flarita reminded Ink Drop without having knowledge what he was frantic about but she has always been annoyed when Ink does that sort of thing that he does.

"Right... right." Ink galloped down through the flight of stairs with Flarita on his back and landed safely on his hooves only to bump in with Cynthia, "Oh, sorry, pardon, ma'am, your highness... Canter!" Ink continued on searching for Canter inside the palace with dozens of rooms.

diamond looked at canter "hey it's ok to cry, i cry to and so does lightning, your dad probably did to." she said smiling at him, Geo looked at him "she's right you know and i cry to, oh and i believe somepony is yelling your name." he said looking at the door, diamond looked at Geo "i still don't know how you hear so well." she said looking at him.

Canter smiled and sniffed. "Thanks Diamond, thanks Geo he said standing back up and letting his ears perked up listened for his name. He heard it, but it was faint. Yet it got closer. "Well I guess I'll have to go check it out." he said trotting to the door and opening it. Before he closed it behind him he turned back to Diamond and smiled. "Catch yah later.....mom." he said with a larger smile as he shut the door and walked into the hall. He saw Ink calling his name down the hall. "INK! WHAT'S WRONG?!" he yelled at him.

diamond and Geo waved to canter as he shut the door, diamond looked at Geo "hey do you want to see something beautiful?" she asked smiling, Geo looked at her "i already am." he replied chuckling, she blushed "fine do you want to see something amazing and don't say i already am." she said, he looked at her sadly "aw really, ok sure." he said, she smiled and teleported them to a cliff as the sun was lowering over a mountain with a waterfall and rainbow, he looked at her "your right this amazing and beautiful but not as amazing and beautiful as you." he said as he kissed her.

"Well I guess I'll have to go check it out." he said trotting to the door and opening it. Before he closed it behind him he turned back to Diamond and smiled. "Catch yah later.....mom." he said with a larger smile as he shut the door and walked into the hall. He saw Ink calling his name down the hall. "INK! WHAT'S WRONG?!" he yelled at him.

Ink decreased his acceleration as soon as Canter came in to his line of sight, he slid across the hall way and stopped precisely in front of Canter, luckily not ramming to him just like how he has rammed himself to the wall, "Canter... Canter..." Ink said exhaustively, panting between words, "About the forest, what is beyond it, what is present there, cause I've just saw a formation of clouds swirling around, unnaturally." he explained what he has witnessed before.

"Just ignore it, Canter..." Flarita added, immediately cutting Ink, "he's a writer, and you know how writers a-"

"No, no, I am not coco or loco; I've seen you, looking at that clouds but when you took your eyes of you simply forget." Ink snapped. then he began his simple deduction on New Aurastone which he spoke it in front of Canter "No disrespecting you but, what is there beyond that forest, Canter? And a city - this city; just appeared out of nowhere with a few ponies knowing,"

Canter took a minute to process all of the information Ink has just spilled from his mouth. "Beyond the forest? All that's there is an bin vegetated mountain face. The clouds were probably just a thunder storm. We get a lot of those here." he said making eye contact with this city. "My father practically built this city with his bare hoofs, so tread lightly my friend." he said with a glare.

"Okay... but I still have the slightest feel that something is off." Ink said with a firm look on his face but immediately shifted to his cheery state -- masking his curiosity -- "Anyways, I'll be in that room..." Ink bid his farewell for now to Canter and went straight to his room.

"You're not going back to that room are you?" Flarita asked in a plain and dry tone with that odd look towards Ink.

"What? Of course I'm going there, I need my equipment, wind speed... I need to prove that that cloud is unnatural." Ink replied

"In other words, you're going there and escape through the window." 

"Oh yes," Ink Drop picked up his pacing and went up to the stairs along the way he explained furthermore, "I just need to calculate the wind speed right at the courtyard without Canter or the guards knowing."

"I don't know... it's risky." Yet for how many time Flarita tried to warn Ink, it will always fail.

Canter nodded slowly. "A-alright, I'll talk to you later then." he said slowly in a curious tone. He waved as Ink and Flarita returned to their room. "Somepony of his level of curiosity wouldn't just sit around with something like that." he thought as he walked to the guard posted outside inks room. "Don't let him leave without my clearance, I don't want him wandering into that forest alone." he whispered in the guards ear. "Yes sir." he said bodly before Canter walked towards the outside to find Cynthia

Cynthia noticed Canter and she sighed. "I felt a strong aura earlier. What do you think it could be?" She asked.

 

When the crystals stopped glowing, a black alicorn with the cutie mark of three aura spheres stood. He simply laughed as he extended his wings. "I'm free." He said, before his followers explained the recent turn of events, which only caused his smile to broaden. "So, Tempest has finally rebuilt his pathetic little empire. That is of no concern. I'll kill Cynthia, and take over."

Canter nodded at Cynthia. "I felt it to, not to mention my new assistant, long story don't ask, mentioned a weird cloud formation beyond the outer forest, and I have a feeling that could be connected with it." he said with a straight face. "Woukd you like me to lead a search party? I wouldn't mind." he said with a smile.

"Anemometer... wind gauge... ooh, what is this? Taking it though." Ink muttered as he ransacked his own satchel

While Flarita stood in the middle doing nothing, she only watched Ink Drop went across the edge of the room to the other taking several stuff with him, "Why do you have a large amount of curiosity?"

"Huh?" was the first response Ink gave since, he was too busy with himself.

"Why can't you be normal? Or at least let the weird stuff be... weird, I mean; just ignore it." Flarita added 

"Well, my dear, it is simple actually, if you see something that is unusual - you just don't let it be, think of the knowledge that you can receive." Ink Drop said, "everything mysterious could be the 'gold', like that Crystal Empire thing."

"In other words... you can't be normal." Flarita muttered quietly to herself

"Okay, take these... " Ink said after he handed over all of his equipment over to Flarita, "Go out the window, it's only about two to three story in height, and you have wings so you could just glide down."

diamond looked at Geo "i think it's time we go home." she said as Geo nodded, they teleported to New Aurastone town center and walked around for a bit, Geo looked at diamond "i think we should go `get something to eat, what do you think." he said, she looked at him "i think that would be delightful." she said as she kissed his cheek.

"Why does it have to be me?" Flarita asked as if she was yelling

And Ink calmly replied with a smile as he raised up his hoof, "Uh... hoof" then he pointed at Flarita's wings, "Wings."

Flarita looked at her wings briefly and looked back to Ink Drop bitterly, "I, hate, you..."

"No you don't, c'mon, it'll be fun." Ink pushed Flarita to the window and caused her to fly out the window in reflex. Flarita glided down reluctantly glided down. Once she landed, she just went by what Ink said since she only want out of this nutty plan of Ink's as fast as she could. 

"One, two, three, four, and done." Ink counted the seconds and then yelled out, "Okay, come back up!"

Cynthia nodded, and smiled. "I would like that. I'll be expecting a full report when you return." She said. "Just be careful. We don't know what we're dealing with."

 

The alicorn smiled darkly as he trotted out of the cave. "I believe it's time to make my appearance. Soon, all of Equestria shall know that Nibiru Eclipse has returned." He thought.
