I'm a software engineer/programmer by profession and a musician/songwriter the rest of the time. I hope to make friends here and contribute a bit of my admittedly lesser talents to this incredible creative community, especially along the music side. ♪ \ / ♬The name "DefCello" is a combination of the Python "def" statement--Python being my favorite programming language--and "cello", one of my favorite instruments to play!It is a pleasure to meet you and I look forward to being part of this community! What genre of music are you into? All kinds! I play a lot of classical ever since I picked up cello, but I write everything from jazz to techno to orchestral. My recent bits have been techno-rock and dance, but it's been a bit rough as I get used to modern music-writing. For listening, I'm very into J-Pop, jazz, rock, and Bollywood. And yes, software engineering totally rocks as a profession. I didn't get started till I was already in college; never too late to learn!
