Okay so I'm planning this RP where my oc Scouter is looking for ponies across Equestria to become the next big thing in Equestria in a talent show like setting. Any ideas to  expand on this?

Well, you'll need

 

3 judges

 

A tornament style

 

Start it labeled as "Open", meaning anyone can audition for a spot in the next round after auditions

 

Then, you must have a decision round, sort of like the Vegas round on America's Got Talent

 

Then you can have a top 20

Then a voting for top 10

Top 5

Top 3

Top 2

Winner

 

After the decision round, change the RP to private. This way, nobody can join in since auditions have passed.

I like the idea.Once you get to the top 10 you should make it Equestria's vote. Like they do on the shows, the people ooc or using their oc's for the audience can vote.

Once all slots are filled, change the tag from "Searching" to "OOC" and change the tag of the actual RP from "Open" to "Private".

Well, the actual roleplaying thread will include the first 50. Then, the same thread will continue on as the Top 20 approaches.

So the first 50 who go to the planning thread should audition in the roleplay thread where I turn it to ooc and then in the rolplay thread the best 20 are chosen and then it becomes private

The planning/searching thread is for recruitment. People will ask to join and put their OC information in THIS thread. Then they'll roleplay the audition in the RP thread, where the decisions will be made. 

 

Of course, 50 ponies won't be on the first day. 

 

So to summarize

 

This thread=searching/recruitment/planning thread

RP thread=where RP takes place, auditions and competition

RP Open= <50 ponies in RP

RP Private = # of ponies auditioning=50
