OC Digital Drawing Please Critique

Here is a drawing I did for a contest here on the forums. Could someone tell me if anything needs to be fixed or if anything seems off?

 

OC does not belong to me, the art does. Do not steal please.

Done in maybe two hours, with a mouse. -.- I need a new tablet.

If you do not mind, what kind of contest is this for?  Either way, the overall design ooks quite nice and the colors were well chosen.

 

 A few things do stick out to me as slightly odd though.  I am assuming that the small spike that is coming out of her chest is supposed to be a tuft of fur, correct?  It just seems a bit off and if you still wish to keep it, I feel it would look better if it was pointing downward.  The back legs also seem to be placed too far foward as they are even with the wings right now.

Yes, the tuft does seem to be rather oddly placed, as with the legs. I might just fix them for myself, but since I already entered this picture in the contest, I'm not sure if I could swap it out. Thank you very much for the critique, I will try to work on leg placement.

It still would not hurt, if you do fix it up a bit, to see if you can update your entry to the contest.  Worst thing that can be said is no while you still have a solid chance at winning.  I will certainly have to take a look at this contest, as I am always interested in such friendly competition.  Maybe I will even take a stab at it!

 

And thank you.  No, you are still quite sane as I just received the title this morning, and on Friday the 13th too.  Hopefully that will not  be an ill-omen!

Yes! Please do join, since I seem to have little competition as of the moment, though with your skills you might just blow me out of the water.   I wish they had a board for art competitions. That would be wonderful... maybe I might take that to the suggestions board. 

 

I think you will be just fine as a Mod, and I doubt the date will matter much.

Honestly, this looks fantastic as it is. You are taking new poses with the general style of the show, and thats awesome!

Im sorry i cannot give you critique, its a personal choice of mine and i'd like to keep it at that, i have my own reason for not doing critique ^^'

Looks very lovely as it is; I really love the tousled, messy way her mane (and to a slight extent her tail) looks!  I guess my only suggestion might be that the first line/row of feathers you have outlined could possibly be a little higher on her wing.  Here's a couple of pegasus pics to give you an idea of what I mean.

 

 

 

See what I mean?  The first/middle row of wings could perhaps be drawn just a little closer to the top row.  Other than that, this looks great!!!  Keep up the great work, good luck in the contest, and hope to see more work from you soon!
