I want to have a RP about Alicorn Princesses who talk about the possible origins of Alicorns (Maybe even some Alicorn princes too as far as to throw even more mystery and discussion!). Anyway my Character's name is Princess LoveBright 

I also have a form for people to copy and past for intros. No limit on member but characters should only be Alicorn Royalty of some kind.

Thus why Alicorns are often related to royalty. I also think that a powerful wizard pony who worked for the King Pegasus and Queen Unicorn, came up with a super hard spell that if a pony proved itself worthy enough, it could alter their form forever into an Alicorn and thus became royalty out of their deed.

OK. This RP will take place 2000 years after the canon. Equestria as we know it has be demolished. Only Alicorns are left in the world as they are considered immortal and can't die. At this point in time, no one knows why only Alicorns are left and why all the other races of ponies are extinct. All they know is that there are far fewer ponies in the world than there once were in the sole surviving book, a Book of records dating back 2000 years (The "in Canon" era). They have no idea what happened to make the number of ponies drop so drastically nor what the other species are, they just know this one book told about things that they wish they knew. 

 

Princess LoveBright has sent out invitation the world over to come to one central location (Canterlot) to talk to the oldest and wisest one around, Princess Celestia. To find out what exactly happened. Only the Alicorns in the present Canon know what really happened. (Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Princess Cadance, and Princess Twilight Sparkle.)

 

 

 

 

Our story begins with Princess LoveBright packing her bags t head on over to the meeting spot in former Ponyville, The Old Carousal Boutique which has been laying open with broken widows everywhere, various sewing notions scattered, tattered, and dusty. An old rusty sewing machine sat in a dark corner of the room. Princess LoveBright had found an old picture with the boutique in the background and thought it was an important place for Royalty. It was very different from the old photo but LoveBright knew it was due to years of not having anypony in it for a while. Let me describe Present day Ponyville; The grass was so thick and overgrown that LoveBright had trouble finding a clearing to land in. When she finally found a place near a river, all she saw as she walked around town looking for the old boutique was overgrown plant life, old dusty and broken building with faded colors and rusty garden decorations. I was the perfect example of ghost-town. She was just lucky enough to be able to somewhat recognize the boutique when she first saw it. She triple checked her photo to make sure though. All she could do was to wait a week at the boutique hoping more princesses and Princes join her. In the mean time she decided to just clean up the dusty place while she could.

Merywset was deep in meditation when she felt, and heard, a burst of magic nearby.  She opened her eyes to see a small scroll appearing in a puff of green smoke.  A message?  For me?  Who would even know of me...or want to send it? she thought as she used her telekinesis to bring it over and unroll it.  Its contents shocked her to the core.  The ponies...gone?!  Of course Merywset knew that all that blossoms fades, dies, and germinates anew.  The treasure rooms of her mind held memories of three thousand years' worth of dear friends and loved ones she had seen lain in their Houses of Eternity.  Then the time had come...when the ponies did not truly need, or even hardly remember her anymore.  She had left them to their own devices then, sometimes coming out in disguise to watch them going about their lives, so brief yet so rich in joys and sorrows.  So yes, Merywset knew far better than most, that Anpw, the Guide of the Dead came for everypony. 

 

But ponykind itself?  That...she had not expected, not for hundreds of thousands, perhaps even millions of years.  The ponies had achieved peace amongst themselves, learned to live in harmony with their environment, and they had new Alicorn protectors to insure the Ma'at of the Realm.  Merywset read the message again, then cast a translation spell and read it yet again.  It still said...that an unknown calamity had come...that the new (from her perspective) Princesses had failed to save ponykind.  That they had not even sent out this call until it was apparently too late.  And worst of all...that Merywset herself had not sensed the calamity, had not emerged from her refuge the one time she had been needed in the long millennia since the end of ancient Kemare't...she had not done what was in accord with Ma'at...that she had failed them.  Tears fell on the parchment as her sobs echoed through the towering colonnades and empty halls of Ankh Taui Temple.

"It has been a long time, old friend," Merywset whispered to the sleek golden boat that sat on its rests in the Holy of Holies.  As with many other relics of her time as Princess of the Two Lands, she had used her magic to preserve the ancient ark.  She placed her supplies inside, then walked up the gangplank herself.  She wore her blue War Crown, gilded scale-mail armor, and twin khepesh scimitars strapped to her sides.  It had been such a very long time since Merywset had gone to war.  There were no winged ones to pull her battle chariot now, a thought which stabbed her with sadness.  Perhaps then, the Symbolism would be more appropriate, that she should fight this battle from her Royal Barque.  This was the vessel used to sail up to the Fourth Cataract and call forth the life-giving annual floods of Hapi, the eternal River.  This was the vessel she used for the Sun Ceremony on the dawn of the winter solstice, to Symbolically invoke the return of light and life as the tide of winter reached its peak and began to recede.  It represented both the Sun as it crossed the sky, and the spiritual conveyance that carried the transfigured spirits of the deceased to the Duat, the land of ever summer.  If there were any ponies left to save, it would be from this ark that she would save them, or perish herself in the attempt. 

 

Perhaps, if the Symbolism held, a new germination of Life would begin, in this very moment.

 

Merywset lit her horn, and the boat began to glow softly with the pink and orange light of a new sunrise.  The shadowed sanctum filled with light, glinting from its gilded walls, carved with elaborate scenes and hieroglyphs.  With a faint creak, the boat lifted from its rests.  Then, the doors of the inner sanctum swung open and the Royal Barque floated out, bringing light to the Chamber of Offering.  Past golden altars and lampstands and incense burners she flew, saying incantations that had not been spoken in four thousand years.  The doors of the Chamber opened in their turn, and her rays, growing brighter, fell on the massive columns of the Hypostyle Hall.  These columns, topped with lotus flowers to her right, papyrus blossoms on her left, represented the primordial marsh at the beginning of Creation.  From their she entered into the first courtyard, then passed the first pylon, and the second, and the third, re-enacting the ancient Kemare'ti story of Creation; ceremonially and Symbolically acting to restore, regenerate, and protect the vigor of the natural world.  Passing through the final pylon gate, Merywset lifted her ark high into the sky, then sped off toward her new destination.

 

As she flew, her heartbreak was tempered by the thrill of being able to use her magic to the fullest for the first time in so long.  Like stretching one's legs for a run after a long, long sleep.  Yet, one ruined pony town or city after another continued to remind her that this was no happy journey.  Another there.  Small, and quaint, charming even in decay.  Merywset brought her ark down for a closer look, hoping against hope...

There!  A glimpse of a bright pink equine form entering a ruined building.  The pony had to see her sunbeams now as she drew closer.  "Be not afraid, my little pony," she said as gently as her resonant Royal Voice would allow.  "I am Neferu-Merywset, Princess of Kemare't, Daughter of the Sun, Protectress of the Two Lands," she intoned.  "I am here to protect you from this calamity.  It is...my great sorrow that I did not know of it in time...to come to your aid before."

 

 

 

Arachnid walked around ponyville and stopped as a spider jumped on him. "Really...no other ponies around anymore....what...so there are two alicorns up ahead...both princesses...Neferu and Lovebright!...guess I should meet them" Arachnid said as he placed the spider down and continued forward and saw the two alicorns. "Hello to both of you my name is Arachnid Sin and I am terribly sorry about pony ville I have been keeping to myself" Arachnid said in a calm voice as a spider jumped on his wing that he held out.

 

 

Princess LoveBright being a fairly new Princess was shocked that there were actually other Alicorns who showed up! "My fellow Alicorn Royalty! I am a fairly new Princess as my Parents are still the rulers of the land of Shetzerland and I came to ask if anypony knew what the odd looking ponies are in this old photo I have found?" She held up an old photo of the Mane six in front of Rarity's boutique. Only one was an Alicorn, but she had no idea what the others were. "I am curious to what there creatures are and to what have befallen them. Does anypony know?"

 

 

"Ah I know them they were the elements of harmony I don't know the name exactly but they stopped many evils..

The alicorn however seems familiar

 

Merywset looked at the picture.  It had been made in the modern way, with a machine; but it was now faded and decaying, like the building in which it had been found.

 

"My apologies.  I do not recognize any of these ponies.  Why do you say that they are 'odd looking?'" she asked.  Aside from their foreign mane-styles and the hat one of them wore, they seemed normal enough.  Except perhaps, for the pink one.  She was unusually bright with joy, and more than the others she seemed to be looking through the surface of the picture as if she might somehow bound right out of it.

"Well, I am fairly young and Since I have been born, I've only known about Alicorns. I never knew other pony type creatures existed. My Nation  is a fairly new nation and we don't have much knowledge of such creatures as the pony with only a horn or with only wings or even without any of those things! I was wondering what sort of creatures they are? "

"They are known as Pegasi and unicorn if I remember correctly" Arachnid said. "I'm from Germaney I'm the prince there may I ask who you three may be exactly" Arachnid said as he let the spider. "I also can talk to spiders and understand them if that's okay" Arachnid said

Thunder Dash flew in to see some of the other Alicorns there. "What's up? The Name's Thunder Dash, The Prince of Courage." Thunder Dash said with a triumphant smile as he spread his wings. "So...what are you talking about? Alicorn origins? Princes and Princesses?" He asked.

"No we were talking about the one in this picture, five of them dont have both wings and horns they either have just wing or just horns or none at all but this one is a alicorn" Arachnid said as a spider grabbed the picture and gave it to Thunder Dash. "Also its nice to meet you Im Arachnid Sin prince of Germaney and controller of spiders" Arachnid said as the spider hopped back onto Arachnid

"Well, did you know this: Pegasus are also able to become Alicorns as well. You see, there's a certain Alicorn Princess I know by the name of Cadence. She resides in the Crystal Empire. She was a born a pegasus, but because she had a fond understanding of love, she was promoted to Alicorn status. She's also known as the Princess of Love as her full name states: Mi Amroa Cadenza. Translated to "My Love, Cadence". I used to just call Alicorns "Pegasus Unicorns" until I found out the real name. And that is an interesting picture. That pony is named Twilight Sparkle. She used to be a unicorn, but, because she had a fond understanding of the Magic of Friendship, she was promoted. So in order to become an Alicorn, one must have a fond understanding of something. Not just knowledge based, but to make something new, do something that impacts the world forever." Thunder Dash explained.

"Well thats interesting to know...strange though since I don't know why I am a alicorn...must be because of something" Arachnid said as he turned back to the other Alicorn. "Do you two know why you became Alicorns at all" Arachnid asked as his ear perked up and he started whispering some odd language to a spider on his head.

"Well, for me. It's because I truly understood Courage. It happened not so long ago during the war with one of Celestia's archenemies, Saura. You see, I'm a major in the Equestrian Military  With the help of all the unicorns and pegasai in Ponyville, we were able to defeat his army. I was able to defeat Saura. But, because Saura had super advanced magic, he was able to come back in the form of a meteor, which would destroy Equestria. I had so much self-doubt. But in the end, I overcame it and sacraficed myself to save Equestria. That's how I became an Alicorn.

"Huh? I never knew about these Unicorns and Pegasi creatures? I was born an Alicorn and from the country of Shetzerland, everyone there are Alicorns. As far back as I can remember, there were always Alicorns who gave birth to more Alicorns. My country is pretty closed off to the outside world. Ponies rarely come or go from there. In fact, I am the only pony  that has left my country in over 2000 years!." "I would to know more about this past civilizations!" "And what happened to them?"

"Really...thats the same for Germaney actually but now its mostly infested with spiders but I control them and keep them in line so they don't cause any trouble" Arachnid said as he looked at the Alicorn that just spoke. "My name is Arachnid Sin it is nice to meet you miss" Arachnid introduced himself

"I've got a friend down in Ponyville, two actually who were born Alicorns. One's name is Night Flare and other is Melody Breeze. They're not of royalty in any way, shape or form, they were just born due to a mutation. You see, when a pegasus and unicorn breed, it's usually either a pegasus or unicorn. I studied this for quite a while. What happens is, that things known as chromosomes, determine what the outcome will be. The outcome is determined by what is known as: dominant and recessive traits." Thunder Dash explained. "It gets pretty deep from here. Are you ready?" Thunder Dash asked.

"You think something is there...somepony you mean" Arachnid asked the spider as it removed the we from in front of him. then went to his ear. "I guess it would be smart to check it out" Arachnid said

"Ah, that would be the home of Princess Twilight Sparkle. She's an avid reader. You can say that I learned this stuff from reading books and observation. She even has a book on what is known as "genetics", or the study of heredity in terms of species of ponies." Thunder Dash explained.

"Huh? That's pretty cool! But Based on what you say, wouldn't one of those Pegasus or Unicorn type ponies be born in Shetzerland? I mean in a course of 2000 years, wouldn't one of those races be born? Or even one of those ponies without wings or a horn might have been born?" "I just think it's kinda odd that there are only Alicorn ponies in Shetzerland. My name is Princess LoveBright by the way. I make the love that's in a pony's heart shine bright and thus making them more pleasant to be around. Even if they only have a tiny bit of love in them, I can bring it out. But yeah, let's go check things out to look for clues to what happened to all the Pegasi, Unicorns, and ponies without horns or wings."

"As I said im Prince Arachnid Sin and I became prince cause I stopped a swarm of spiders in my country back then and its known as a sin to love spiders but I can understand them like this little guy right here" Arachnid said as he held his hoof out and a spider jumped onto it. "He's been with me most my life and now he pointed me in the direction to Princess Twilight Sparkle house and I would like to meet her actually and Princess Luna also" Arachnid said as he started walking to the tree house

"Well, a mutation, which is esentially when something happens in the chromosomes, could occur. But regularly, when an earth pony and a pegasus/unicorn breed, it's usually the one that has the most dominant traits appear." Thunder Dash explained as he made an easel appear. "You really don't have to go search for clues. It's all in the genetics." Thunder Dash added as he drew a large square. He then divided it into four smaller squares.  He then made what was known as a Punnett square, which determined the dominant and recessive traits when cross-breeding. 

 

 

"Now, this might make things a little easier to explain. The capital letters represent the dominant traits and the small letters, represent the recessive traits. "E" is for earth pony and "P" is for the pegasus." Thunder Dash explained.

"Somehow, they got wiped out but...I don't know why." Thunder Dash said as he made the easel and everything disappear. He caught up with the others. "As for Princess Celestia, she is the ruler over all of Equestria, she raises the sun EVERY single day. Her cutie mark is the bright sun. As for Luna, she raises the moon every night. But that wasn't so 2000 years ago..." Thunder Dash explained. "Wanna know why?" He asked.

Merywset's heart broke.  It seemed that the very existence of ponies, the entire proper order of the world, had been forgotten.  The alicorn who was kin to spiders seemed to know more.  A bright yellow and black alicorn came, and his knowledge was greater still.  As they spoke amongst themselves, the shock of the ponies' demise tore at her, and tears ran down her cheeks. 

 

"They are not strange 'creatures,'" Merywset said.  "They are the true ponies.  It is Ma'at that they should be numerous, and our kind rare.  It is our place to govern the celestial powers for them...the cycles of day and night and the seasons...to keep monsters and forces of chaos at bay...to protect them," she said, her voice cracking.  "To create a safe Realm for them to live their lives.  For their lives are brief as the blossoming of the lotus, only a few tens of years.  But like the lotus...their lives are meant to be beautiful...to give joy to all who behold them."  With a flap of her wings, Merywset rose from her ark, then settled gently on her feet next to the other alicorns.

 

"Forgive me," she said to the two males.  "I am Merywset.  In ancient times, I was Neferu-Merywset, Princess of the Two Lands, Kemare't, land of pyramids and mighty temples.  For three thousand years, I called the Sun forth from his horizon in the East, and laid him to rest in the West.  Then the time came for my own setting.  During a time of many wars, I trained my best unicorn mages to raise the Sun so that I could lead Kemare't's armies in the field.  But in time, a generation of unicorns rose who did not remember me, and those who governed, and their subjects, came to accept the new pony empire that then ruled.  It was never my place or my right to impose my rule upon ponies.  I withdrew so they could pursue their own path.  In time, a new Sun-Princess, one known as Celestia came, and her sister, the 'Luna' you spoke of.  So far as I could tell, she reigned in accordance with Ma'at, so I never contested her right to the Sun.  For a thousand years she reigned.

 

"Then...adventurers and seekers of mystery stopped trying to find my hidden temple where I lived, to pry out its treasures, or its secrets.  I thought...that it was me, and the legends of my temple that had been thoroughly lost, and forgotten.  Not the ponies themselves.  It is not Ma'at.  I have failed them.  Failed at the very purpose of my existence."

"First of all stop with the science I would rather read about it then have an explanation" Arachnid said to Thunder. He then looked at LoveBright. "My spiders name is Selene and he scouts areas and bring back info for me incase its anything important like the tree house gave me info when I mentioned it out loud cause Selene brought it to my attention" Arachnid said as he continued onward to the treehouse and stopped in front of the door then proceeded to knock on the door with his hoof. "Hello is anyone by the name of Princess Twilight Sparkle in here" Arachnid said in a calm voice.

"Ugh, well sorry, Twilight Sparkle's gonna be the same way. She always gets into the deep stuff because it's her interest." Thunder Dash said a little annoyed as he continued to walk. Thunder Dash felt a little offended by this remark from Arachnid, for it felt like he didn't need it. He wasn't trying to show off or anything.

I am sparkshower and I wasn't born an Alicorn on the surface my story looks much like that of twilight sparkle but look deeper and you might see a little more to it. While I did study and become Luna's apprentice unlike twilight I didn't start from being a filly for me it started whe I joined Luna's night guard.

Sorry im late guys rainbow lightning said as he flew in. I ran into my mom and she didnt want me to go but i got her to let me so whats going on. As he remembered the times he had spent with his friend before he moved to god knows where he told everypony how he became an alicorn. basically I was born an alicorn so I am not all so sure about the origins but princess celestia might know.
