FNGRpony 658 September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 Now keep in mind these would be "just for fun episodes." taking place in either a dream, or pinkie telling a story, I mean not every episode needs to or is going to Develop ponies. I think the knee jerk reaction from posters will be when i say parody "Do we really need a MLP christmas carol episode." and maybe it doesn't, but would you like to see MLP spoof other things? Personally i'm a hack and I'd gush at the idea. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
Radiance64 7,059 September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 That seems to be what the upcoming Power Ponies episode is going to be, and I have to say I like the idea. The show can probably do a lot of different things that it didn't do before now since it doesn't seem there won't be many more friendship lesson style stuff, and dream episodes are already one very real possibility. (And just like that we get gamer luna lol). 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,
uml4mj4m 134 September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 I really hope that the show gets an episode, where it contains the past works of Lauren Faust. (Powerpuff Girls, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends) I want to see a Doctor Whooves episode.
Scootalove 10,692 September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 The show should spoof other shows while not catering to the audience. Just to do it out of entertainment and fun, with no fan service. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Rough Pathway 157 September 30, 2013 Share September 30, 2013 Ehh, I don't want an/any episode(s) to be a parody/spoof of something. Plenty of other shows have done that already and its just unfunny and unoriginal. Besides, there are plenty of references and shoutouts in the show as it is. I guess I could see how other people would enjoy it, but no thanks. I mean don't get me wrong, I like "fun" episodes that don't really contribute to the story every now and then but not spoofs and parodies. I'm not really looking forward to the superhero episode. Just my opinion. Signature made by the amazing Sir Lunashy I make PMVS.
Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 Well it would be interesting to see them parod other stuff but the problem is that's already been done to death. You got a working example of that being done? I still haven't wrapped my head around the "fans being happy equals bad." Because what? The fans might bitch more if they thought it would matter? Diablo 3 bitching is something that isn't needed, because it's already a great game. bitching got us paragon 2.0 and loot 2.0, and there both things that are gonna be attached to the "core game" not just the expansion. Amount many other things that blizzard should have done them selves in the first place. Many, many, many things. Instead of in the words of ruler of eternal darkness would say "Doubling it!" (insert luna or jay wilson your pick LOL). Yes I understand many of those people bitching are terrible people. but when people (Like myself) paid 60 dollars for a game that you couldn't play when you got it home, don't look me in the eye and tell me I or anyone else had any right to bitch. If you feel I or anyone else didn't, I'd say that speaks volumes that people bitching about pandering are simply the "shut up and lump it crowd." I see the down side, bitching ruined the forum community but it made the game better. But hay that's a blizzard community i wouldn't say that was exactly ever gonna be that big of a fall. The money was already made. keep in mind it's not wow their is no subscription. The only thing that got patches to give more content was fans complained enough to where blizzard was getting bad press. Forbes did a article on it for crying out loud. Seasons are needed to keep the franchise alive (or at least some what fresh). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

Maybe my lack of patients from myself and others is where consule gamers who mossied on over and didn't relize all the screw ups where "accepted practice." And like i said Alive and fresh. Character development creates a new look. A new angle. Kinda why I'm curious more than anything else about Alicorn twilight. "Gee I wonder how this is gonna go." of course it could go bad. Anything could go bad LOL. but I am not optimistic or pessimistic. I'm realistic. I'm not getting reaper of souls until I'm told the game is up and running. Oh no sir I'm not gonna fall for that B.S. twice. I thought character development was taking a existing character and adding something. Bad example cause you won't like the pandering buy Lyria learning about humans. pinkiefan1287 610 October 1, 2013 Share October 1, 2013 I agree with your idea, but I kinda disagree to. I think it's alright for Pinkie Pie to be telling a fairy tale to Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake. Or maybe she can tell them a story about how she came to live at Sugarcube Corner. So it can be a story about noting or it can be one that develops a character. His bill and Ted speak if you will. (I don't hate it by the way LOL the fact that it bothers the hell out of everyone else makes me kinda like it lol). I have not seen much of friend ship is witch craft, IN FACT it's likely the last great fan work I've not seen. and seeing as how the fans are the ones who are responsible for Lyria's human fixation, (it's made he my favorite back ground pony lol sorry derpy) isn't stealing ideas of the fans equal pandering? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JvTYhrZUgYY flight to the finish. i continue to improve,

Pandering is if the fans are giving Hasbro the ideas, then they get the permission to use their ideas. Okay, this long counter argument might take a while. Imagine if i made a storm trooper or a red shirt (star wars, star treck respectfully) called Donut Steal (or how ever that joke goes). Now seeing as how the show doesn't exactly have fluffie ponies, exactly, the fact she's understood she's from the intellectual property of hasbro. That's like saying I can copy right a student that i say "comes from hogwarts." I mean.... you can't do that can you?
