Vinyl and Octavia *finished*

I got a new Sketch book.so i drew vinyl and Octavia because i felt like it, was a pain because it was my first time drawing Octavia. so there might be problems with her mane or something, i also gave her a scarf because i wanted same thing for Vinyl's Headphones.

It's not bad.

 

It's a 5/10 for me. When you do get a feather ton better.. I would love to see a re sketch of the exact same thing!

 

Eyes though on Vinyl are way to oval instead of round. Ear is too pointy, Legs and Hooves are drawn perfectly.. Nose(Snout) is too pointy.. needs to be more round edged.. I think that's all I can find. If anypony else finds any errors or needs correction, quote this and add them.

 

But um yeah, it's a good start mate. Keep it up.

Looks pretty good overall. I agree the eyes are to oval, and the nose is to pointy to. 

 

The scarf is sorta oddly pointy in my opinion around the neck of octavia, but not sure if i'm just looking at it wrong.

 

overall its good though, the proportions are all pretty good and everything looks pretty good, just some little things. 

 

i'd give it like an 8/10 or something.

I actually find this quite cute; I think it has something to do with the eyes as it reminds me of Valcron's work.  Even though the muzzle and ears are a bit pointy as other members have pointed out, I do not see these as errors if you were trying to break away a bit from the show's style.  Everyone has their own interpretation.

 

I do see a couple things to look for and possibly improve upon in the future.  Octavia's back half of the body seems to slope downward slightly, causing the back legs to be shorter than the should be and Vinyl's body seems to bulge slightly by the back leg which does not look quite right too me.

 

Overall, I believe this is a very nice sketch and I look forward to see more from you.  Keep it up!

I'd say 7/10; I quite like the pointier style, would be interested in seeing more.

Theonly things that stand out to me are the line of Vinyl's stomach where it meets the hindleg and some perspective wonkiness going on with her chest and right frontleg.

I re sketched the original Vinyl an Octavia sketch i posted yesterday because there where some major flaws that bothered me so here's a new and improved one

8/10 The only thing that I could slightly note on it is to me Vinyl's neck looks slightly long and her earphones look just a tad too small. But other than them minor details it looks awesome! Good job!

No, i do not try to look like the show, i use my own style, but still staying slightly accurate to the show. anyways thank you for commenting it helps me very much. I'll try to use what you said on my next drawing.

I DID notice that as i was sketching the original guidelines in pencil. but i am having extreme troubles with it. i had to erase like...a lot of times so i stuck with this because it  was the one that turned out best of all the many fails.

Nice style, mate. It's cute, sure, but I can see a few mistakes. The round part on Vinyl's headphones are a little small, and Tavi's scarf is drawn in such a way that it suggests her neck is indented. You could use an itsy bit more work on specific parts of the anatomy, namely the underbelly and front hooves.

Just so you know, I have merged your two threads on your Vinyl and Octavia drawing together so you can continually update it on a single thread, if you would like.  Plus, keeps the forums a little less cluttered  

 

Anyway, despite the couple things I pointed out previously, I believe your finished piece looks quite nice and you will only improve from here.  Keep it up!
