Victoria and Co. 782 February 24, 2012 Share February 24, 2012 Star Wars Galaxies (R.I.P. you awesome sandbox MMORPG) always took a long time to install, update, and re-install for me, and the progress bar usually stayed at about 1-10% untill the very end where it would suddenly jump to something like 96 or 99% This is something I do? This is something I do.
cuteycindyhoney 13,307 February 24, 2012 Share February 24, 2012 Not too long ago I had to do a complete Windows re-install. That was a headache and a half. Luckily I prepared in advance and had everything I wanted to keep backed up on separate drives. Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
LowfatEnvelope 335 February 24, 2012 Author Share February 24, 2012 Ya that'd be handy. I just say "LET'S WIPE IT ALL!!!" and remove practically everything but save files. I don't like backing stuff up ~L.F.E.~

I used to be a stranger 7,993 February 24, 2012 Share February 24, 2012 Transferring a file from a USB to my computer once allegedly would take 14,000 years. That was a fun thursday.
DokiNaku 31 February 24, 2012 Share February 24, 2012 I've seen a download bar go the other way, I had to check my hands to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

I also have the start up files for things like VLC, DVD Shrink, and whatever saved on multiple external sources so I can get them up and running if I need to! Kyreth 194 February 24, 2012 Share February 24, 2012 My internet is incredibly unreliable so the eta on downloads is pretty much meaningless. It will jump from 20 minutes to 5 years randomly. My Champions Online patching always says it will take 9 minutes. Regardless of the size or my download speed at the time. Its pretty annoying when I'm trying to play with someone and I tell them I've just got to do a quick patch. 2 hours later... I can't make signatures. Sooo... yeah

Well i don't really ever keep anything on my computer i'd have a hard time losing or a hard time doing without for awhile. If there's extremely critical stuff (school papers, reports, etc) i'll back it up, but that's about it. ~L.F.E.~

If there's extremely critical stuff (school papers, reports, etc) i'll back it up, but that's about it. That sounds a little better! Thank you Sparklefan1234!!!
