Pony artwork?

Hello everyone, today i wanted to show you this drawing i did a moments ago.

This is my first pony artwork so dont judge me about the bad terminations,

Maybe in the future i will do something bigger and better.

Here it is:

 

(If it doesen't appear its because im a noob and i thought that it would work but it didn't)

Well as you can see apple-john has artificial wings, thats because he is an earth pony inventor who always wanted to be a pegasus.

When he grew up he dicovered that his special talent was creating things so he worked for 2 years in artificial wings.

By the way, he's the lost cousin of applejack but he never was interested in apples.

Its a start. More than most people do.

 

Keep at it and you'll get better, while ponies themselves might be easy. drawing wings correctly and with detail is hard even for folks who are really good at drawing. I like the mechanical wings tho they seem a little bit to far down his back to me.

Im actually working on another fan art right now

Not bad for your first drawing. I'd maybe say to work on your anatomy a little. Instead of just drawing an oval for the body, sketch out the real body shape. The wings could be a bit farther forward. Keep up the practice, and I'm sure you'll get there someday.

I recently discovered that using programs to draw its much much much much much bettter!!

Im working on a new project. I think the other one ( the one above) its not going to be finished, never.

The reason is that i prefer to use programs or apps to draw, here is the new project, its not finished.

I will try to post it finished as soon as possible.

 

Remember, its not finished yet.

You should draw him maybe using one of the tools in his mouth as they kinda look like the just hovering on his hooves. (or give him magnetic shoes to hold'em XD)

I like the idea of the magnetic shoes!

In one of my drawings i made him using his mouth to grab tools but his mouth was a little bit deformed so i didnt used it, i will discover a way to draw his mouth better while holding things.

( i will probably use the magnetic shoes idea, thanks!)

Looks pretty good overall! There are some issues though.

 

First I think the back legs of the other pegasi is bent a bit to far back. It looks like its not level but bent backwards and I don't think pegasi can bend their legs that far back.

 

Also on the front hooves of the same pony the line of body outline crosses over the front hoof, the line there should just have the hoof with no line making it look disjointed kinda.

 

Then as for apple John, his front legs are to long, they look stretched, and they have some bumpy lines.

 

Also his body seems pretty thin, it's almost hard to see.

 

However other then those issues, it looks pretty good overall, you've got the general shape mostly, just keep practicing proportions and other anatomy a bit.

Depending on the scaling and stuff. I'd say probably the first one, maybe the last one if its to big.

 

The middle one looks kinda small overall.

 

I would make sure its not to big, big cutie marks can be kinda distracting, so if you use them make sure you scale it down a good bit.

I know the middle one is small but its only for representing how would it look like (maybe i should say that before i post the picture), i understand you, i wasn't so clear when i posted it.

 

So the winner right now its number 1.

Cutie marks are supposed to be slightly vague. The ratchet one is too specific while the gear ones could represent several things.
