Sidesplitter grew tired of throwing around names & pointing hooves and spoke up. "Guys, guys! We could go all day trying to figure out who did what, and who's hiding what, but for now we gotta keep everypony safe. Now I'm not saying anypony is innocent, nor am I accusing, but we need to put our differences aside & find Midnight." She glanced towards Clockwork when she said that. "So far he's the only one we know with the chip. Plus, I'm kinda worried about him, he's somewhere out there not even knowing what he's doing, and we need to be in our best efforts finding him, rather than sit here & yell at Clockwork. Clockwork smiled at Sidesplitter's words. "Finally.. a pony who speaks sense. I was beginning to wonder who would. This city has seen enough chaos for one day.. We should work on finding Scribbler, this is true. But.. where to look first? The question remains. We know that Jinx character is still out there, she's been seen more than once.. Although, now that you mention what has happened.. Perhaps my previous conclusions that she was behind the whole thing, were indeed false. If she is inflicted with the same chip technology.. She too could very well be under the control of whoever is behind this whole thing." He reached into his drawer for something, slipping it into his vest pocket, then pulled out the book he had from before, and made notes of his conclusions.

The clock on the wall behind him chimed, one O'Clock. Had it truly been an hour?

Lucid frowned and turned to Suit Twister, he whispered "are you sure you cant read his mind!?"

He then turned to Clockwork "Alright, but just in case she isn't the perpetrator, we had better not assault her unless necessary. I believe we can all agree on those terms. I don't think any pony wants any legal trouble...."

"I wanna sock that guy in the face..." Epic said to Lucid in an angry tone.

Suit Twister shrugged, looking sorry for something he couldn't help. He glanced fearfully at Clockwork for a second, then averted his eyes. Clockwork looked over to Lucid Dream. "Yes, I agree.. As I mentioned yesterday, to Selune and the others here.. We should try to find her, and possibly capture her, but that might be difficult. She is, after all, a counter spell specialist. The use of magic against her might be hazardous, especially if she's not in control.. Although, now that you mention Scribbler having gone missing as well.. Perhaps he might be more easy to stop. I don't know what his abilities are exactly, but he might be less inclined to harm you. If they both have a chip implant, it might be of use to us if you could bring him to me. I might be able to remove it from him." He paused, glancing down at the cowering pony behind Selune. His eyes narrowed, as he caught a glimpse of him peeking up before averting his eyes. "Who have we here? A new friend of yours, Selune?" He chuckled.

Silver walked on the hill outside of town,he saw everything...the city,the ponies,he sighed and looked off into the distance and then...he saw it...a hint of gold...his eyes slowly widened as he noticed that the gold turned towards him...Gold looked at the speck of Silver off in the distance,he narrowed his eyes and took a step forward and in a millisecond,he was right infront of Silver...Silver didn't even flinch when his brother was standing a few feet infront of him,they both stared each other down...both on high alert,Gold finally spoke up "Brother...it has been a while...you're still as weak as when we departed..."he spat...Silver glared at Gold "Shut up...I am not weak...if anything,you are,you filth!"he spat back seetheingly...Gold snarled and stepped back with his right rear leg,then stepped forward with his left front,he then had sparks of lightning start to gather around his body,soon,he had bolts of lightning crackling around him...Silver took the same pose,but instead of lightning,he was using Telekinetic power,his body started to distort with the invisible energy that surrounded him,both waiting for the other to strike first.

Selune sighed a bit... she shouldn't have left Scribbler alone and was now more troubled than ever. She still though that Clockwork was a bit suspicious... in fact by now she was willing to suspect almost anyone for this. The line between friend and foe was getting thinner by the second. Clockwork adressed her inquiring about Suit Twister and decided not to tell him his ability... and hoped that Suit wouldn't either, though she wondered why Clockwork had no thoughts at all... was it perhaps that Clockwork knew about him and shielded himself? Or perhaps his thoughts weren't his own... which meant that Clockwork could also be under control... well she'd just have to see...

"His name is Suit Twister... and you will excuse him if he's a little shy. He's quite the interesting character eh Clockwork don't you... think?" she said smilling a bit. "Why don't you speak for youself my dear Suit?"

Silver kept keeping his stance,not giving a single nanometer to his rival,his enemy...his brother... Gold growled and yelled "I've had enough of this,you coward!!"he yelled furiously,lightning gathered in front of his face quickly before he shot a bolt at Silver...Silver growled as he shot a ball of telekinetic energy at the bolt,both meeting in the middle and making contact...the reaction...violent...first,it imploded for a second before it let out a huge shockwave of force,compacted air,then the air started to ignite and before a second had come around,a bomb-like explosion ripped the peaceful airwaves to shreds,both brothers still standing in their positions,staring at each other,then finally,Silver dashed off and ran strait to the city,Gold could have cought him,but did not,Gold sighed and teleported himself into the city and slowly started to walk around,keeping an eye out for Silver,who was on the other side of town.

Silver slowly started to trot around 'My brother is stalking me...I know it...I can feel his eyes watching my every step...' he thinks silently as he continues on,Gold looks around 'Silver...I know your in here...but where...' Gold thinks quietly,not knowing the brothers were going to intrude onto a group of ponies.

Clockwork Green narrowed his eyes momentarily, as Selune put emphasis on the word 'think' He knew she was onto something, but wasn't sure how. "Yes.. interesting indeed.. Suit Twister you say? A pleasure to meet you."

 

Suit Twister shuddered at having been put in the spotlight, but reluctantly came out from behind Selune. "Hehee... Hello.." He glanced worriedly at Selune, not sure what to do. He hadn't anything to say in mind, and this room was far more silent than he'd ever experienced. It was unsettling to him, listening to the ticking of the clock, and the subtle sounds of the physical world around him which he seldom noticed through all the thoughts floating around his mind. Most of which weren't even his own. He began to get anxious, nearly squeaking as he whispered to Selune in his mild panic. "W-we don't like.. t-this place.. It's.. not right.. T-t-too quiet.. like an abandoned graveyard." He jerked his head around, glancing around at all the menacing looking machines around him, then noticed Clockwork, staring in his direction. It struck fear into his mind, like nothing he could remember.

Clockwork gazed down at the strange little pony, he was filled with intrigue as to what had him bothered so much. Then he put the pieces together.

 

Suddenly, a pony showed up at the door, walking in without knocking or anything. It was a police pony, a light blue pegasus with a black mane. He walked up, past the others, glancing at them as he passed by, stopping in fron of Clockwork's desk. "Clockwork Green. You are hereby under arrest for suspicions of involvement in the disappearance of Nova Strings. Please come with me now."

Clockwork stood up, furious. His face reddened, he looked as though there was a mixture of confusion and frustration rolling through his head. "What is the meaning of this?? How have I been suspected for the disappearance of my own friend?? She was my damn assistant!! I need her! Why the hell would I get rid of her? You must be kidding me!" He was nearly beside himself.

"I'm afraid this is something you will have to convey to our interrogation unit. Unfortunately, it's out of my Hooves, Mr.Green. Come along now." The police officer revealed a warrant paper from his pocket. Clockwork gazed up at the warrant, then at his papers strewn about on the desk, then up to the others who were standing in his shop. "It would seem I must close shop for now.." He spoke with a cold, monotone voice, and got up from behind his desk.

Silver stopped,seeing a police pony in front of him,was he arresting some pony? He peeked in for a second to see who was being arrested,no one he knew,so,he continued about,hoping some pony would notice him as he sat beside the shop with the cop,sighing as he looked down.

 

Gold slowly walked through the town,looking for nothing in particular,if he never saw his brother again,he would be happy,he sighed softly and looked around the town.

Muddle was quietly listening to the conversation between: clockwork, Selune, and Suit Twister; she still didn't have much to say. While Clockworks home and workshop still bothered her, a bit, she was glad for the change of pace: A murder, a bombing, and one of their friends going missing all in the same mourning.

Muddle realized that what she thought was listening, in reality, was her spacing out again. This realization only hit her once the officer burst through the laboratory doors.

 

She watched in shook as the officer arrested Clockwork for kidnapping Nova Strings. "What!"

Gold slowly trotted to Silver's position,he stopped when he noticed him on the side of the street,he glared at his brother a minute before looking at the cop,he decided against using his powers,so he slowly started back off.

Sidesplitter looked at the officer in disbelief. She was totally with Clockwork, why would he be the kidnapper of his own assistant? Wouldn't she be here then? Where else would she be? She felt helpless yet furious as they took Clockwork away. "This....this is stupid! Midnights missing, Clockwork is under arrest, what else could possibly-" Sidesplitter quickly covered her mouth, she didn't want to jinx it.

"Huh?" Lucid said. "Was I right the entire time!?" Lucid thought to himself.

"Clockwork Green must have done something.... But why kidnap his own assistant!" Epic said to Lucid.
"None of this makes sense, why kidnap you own assistant... Maybe he did do a crime. He is very suspicious..... but why kidnap your own assistant! He is hiding something..... But it couldn't be that HE'S the one who's doing the kidnapping." Lucid thought.

"Keep observant kid... This is getting too interesting for my comfort!"

"Keep it down dad! Suit Twister will hear you!"

All the others looked confused, Selune was as well... but she wan't gonna buckin sit down and choke on the subject. They needed to keep Clockwork under check and also acquire any information he had on the matter. Who knows where he might end up. Bravely she stood up, slammed her hoof on the ground and yelled 

"ENOUGH!" 

Once she was confident she had everyone's attention she spoke once again with sheer determination on her face. She gave a fiery look to Clockwork motioning him subtly not to speak until she is done.

"I am Clockwork Green's Lawyer and in general representative on public matters. You have come to my client's workshop, and disturbed his personal space. Me and my team of researchers..." 

She pointed at the general direction of all those that had gathered from the beginning of these events. The pendulum swings... for justice.

"We are also attempting to figure out the truth behind these events, we would gladly co-operate with you if you so desire. I would like to see that warrant you have right there for this arrest, and if you cannot solidify your accusations, i cannot allow my client to come with you. You might be keepers of the law, but if you attempt an arrest with forged documentation, or without following the laws that you are meant to uphold i am going to rightfully have to resist."

(perfect time to introduce lost Thought)

 

Lost Thought was wandering down the street. Ironically, she was completely lost. She had come to this town looking for an inventor that had accomplished something she could only dream of. "Wings..." She looked up at the sky and let her mind trail off into thought about the mechanical wings. 

 

"The design, the material, and of course the pony that made them! So many questions, where do I begin?"

 

Her day dream was interrupted by a pony that walked directly into her. A blue stallion, in a small brown suit, peered up at her from the ground. She help him back up and he screamed, "Why don't you watch were your going," Then he brushed past her started to storm off.

Lost had felt offend, it was an honest mistake, she had even helped him back up. "Well it you want to get snappy..." 

 

Before the stallion walked away she reach into her bag and place something on the side of him as he brushed past her. She took three steps forward, then put on the goggles above her head. She smiled as she saw a faint white light coming from behind her. Then heard a pony fumble around, and possibly crash into wall. "He will be fine... I think."

 

She continued walking, only now she had more think of "What should I call those? Spark sphere, night lighters, Flash bulbs? Eh, hope it teaches him not to be so rude..." She stopped and looked around. "Where was I again?"

Lost had finally reach what she believed was the house of clockwork green. "Big, gears, steam... I like it. This seems like the place, although..."

 

Why were there cops outside his door. If they were coming for her, "Why am I not surprised," that would be one thing; but what would they be doing with Clockwork? 

 

She pulled out a small journal and started writing down what she could observe, and small notes for herself later.

Silver over-heard the contact between the police pony and the ponies inside the building,he felt it was only right that he had to do something,he sighed and stood up,he did this because he wanted to give that pony at least a little bit of a chance to say good bye or something,he walked up behind the officer and pushed him hard before waiting a moment so he could be seen and started galloping away.

 

Gold sat on a rooftop,watching his brother as he did this he chuckled "...now look who has the dark side..."he mumbled.

Clockwork narrowed his eyes, peering over his shoulder at Selune. "What is she up to?"

 

The officer pony looked over at Selune, muttering something into his two way radio about backup. He half smiled smugly at Selune and reached into his pocket once again, revealing the warrant papers. "Here they are.. Official and all. Governor's signature is right there. You'll have to wait for a court appearance before you do any representing. My apologies.. whoever you are. I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask all of you to wait here, there are two more officers on their way, they will be here momentarily. You will all need to be questioned for your involvement with Mr. Green, here." With that, he returned the papers to his pocket, and began to escort Clockwork.

Suddenly somepony pushed the officer from behind causing him to stumble. He glanced back, seeing Silver before he galloped out the door. Quickly, he grabbed his radio. "We have a runaway, silver coat, white mane, stop him on sight for assault to an officer. I repeat, stop him on sight for assault on an officer. He's just left Clockwork Green's now!"

Clockwork seemed quite flustered by all of this. "What in Equestria is going on in this city? Since when do ponies just shove cops?"

Meanwhile, Suit Twister had taken to cowering behind Selune again, and let out a yelp as the officer was shoved, having been pushed to the limits of his wits for excitement.

 

Outside, two more officers were on their way, one from either direction. Both were unicorns, one red with a white mane, the other white with a red mane, they spotted Silver instantly, and moved in on him, charging their horns. "STOP RIGHT THERE! Don't make us use magic, and things will go easier for you!"

(Lost Thought)

 

Lost watched as a pony walked up to Clockworks house, and shoved a police officer. "...Well if something serious happened... We have a culprit... Wait!" She thought about this for a moment and realized, "Criminals means a reward!" 

 

As the pony ran off she quickly sketched his back and drew a rough picture of his front. She was disappointed with the outcome. Most of the sketch was based off her memory, which at times can be unreliable. Once the pony had left there was very little detail she could draw. "... I didn't even get his cutie mark." She sighed and said, "Oh well." Then continued her observation.

Silver smiled "HEY!!!"he stopped and opened his mouth wide,they all three saw flames start to churn in his mouth,he closed his eyes as he let the fire plume out of his mouth in a large column,he aimed above the officers,so they would only feel the immense heat from it,above the column was solid black smoke,he took a big mouth full of air and let out a black haze of smoke,he turned tail and galloped away,he the used his telekinetic power to block an alley way off,he ran down said alley way before he blocked it off,he wound up right beside the shop where the shoving took place,he looked around a moment before trotting in,he coughed out black smoke twice before letting it escape through his nostrils,after about a few seconds,the black smoke was gone and he just looked at the ponies,he felt it would be awkward if he said anything.

 

Gold watched the scene with a smirk "though you may be weak brother...you are no fool..."he states.

The red unicorn officer ducked as a hot plume of fire shot over his head. The other, behind Silver, was dumbstruck that the pony was using magic alone, but then when he took off, toppling things to block them, he was about to follow, then stopped. Just as soon as they were both about to report what had happened, Silver came back around. They waited for him to enter the shop, and both fired their horns, casting a potent restrain spell on him. He wouldn't be able to move with one of them, but they didn't want to take any chances here. Whoever this pony was, he wasn't the usual sort of criminal they'd normally encountered. The red officer glared at Clockwork. "One of your inventions, Clockwork? I don't see any horn on this guy, and he's casting magic. Anything you wanna say?"

Clockwork glared right back. His eyes gave a cold, steely, piercing stare. "Were it my work, You would see a backpack on him, and he'd be wired with something.. Which has neither of. Thank you very much." He snorted in disgust at being pointed to for everything that went wrong. "I honestly do not know how I am always the one to be blamed for things that happen around here. It's as if you think I alone am directly responsible for the crime that takes place in this city."

Silver looked at the officers with his eyes and let a slight smile off before he started to twist images in their minds,just because he can't move,dose not mean he cannot use his favorite ability,he then said slowly in their minds "Let me go,or face the consequences..."he warns them.

 Selune motioned Suit Twister to follow him placing a hoof on top of his shoulder

"You'll be safe... come with me... none is going to harm you." 

She couldn't comprehend what was going on... the fuss that was happening, who is was this new pony. But observation was necessary and she was happy to help and protect. She would not leave Clockwork Green not when he was source of information and more. When the officers managed to catch the trouble maker she approached with them. "Allow me to examine him please... there have been sightings of ponies with strange chip devices on their heads and i wish to see if this pony possesses one. Also... for the last time if you do not have proof of what you say and only suspicions do not blindly accuse others!"

Silver kept still,he had too,he sighed and said,his mouth breaking free from the spell "I'll have you know,I have no 'Chip' in my body,I was born like this-erm...should I say,created like this,you see,I was made in a test tube."he states,looking at Selune with his eyes;He didnt know these ponies were involved in some kind of detective stuff or anything,he sighed and started to find the paralyzing spell in his mind,this one was very easy to locate,he used his own power to destroy the paralysis he looked at everyone before turning to the cops and putting a barrier around himself and he glared at them,opening his mouth as the saw fire churning again,he would give them a minute to leave before he used this fire.
