English Premier League Soccer Thread

Courageous Thunder Dash

Recommended Posts

Okay, so I'm a huge fan of English Premier League Soccer, with my top 4 teams being Barcelona, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United.

What's your favorite English Premier League team and why?

I like Liverpool due to the fact that they attempt goals sooo many times in a game. They one time pulled off 3 attempts in one minute!

Have at it people!

Ok, I'm going to revive this thread, if you don't mind. I've finally found a thread about this, and Me and can't be the only Football fans (Soccer, I'm English) on the forums?

Anyway, good to see another Premier League fan! I follow my beloved team Norwich City. You've probably seen them around, especially when Liverpool beats them... On a regular basis. Damn Luis Suarez, such a good player for Liverpool.

It would be good to talk to football fans here on the forums.

I support Spurs, and I hate both of you. :P Only joking.

I've been into football (yes, that's what it's called. American football = rugby for wimps = handegg) since I was a kid, and I've always supported Tottenham Hotspur. (Trottingham Hotspur = Equestrian equivilient) I used to play football, and as the only girl playing, got away with loads of fouls. XD I don't play any more cuz I don't have time and in any case, I'd probably get sent off in five seconds. My middle brother and my fiance both support Spurs, my older brother isn't interested, and my little brother supports Arsenal. Boo! XD

Hopefully Brighton will be in the Premiership next season..

Tottenham Hotspur

Never really heard of them. Where do they stand in terms of team ranking?

@, Crap. XD Actually, we're doing slightly better in recent seasons than before. Right now, we're seventh in the league.

Manchester City!

Because as an American all I ever heard being talked about was Manchester United and City, to me, sounded like they're the underappreciated underdog vs. MU so there.

Yeah, I'll go with what he said. It's probably like asking someone in Europe what their favorite baseball team is and having them answer the Yankees but whatever. Unfortunately, I don't keep up with soccer even though the high school I attended was a soccer powerhouse and won 4 state championships back-to-back.

For me, it's basketball all the way...and baseball because it's the radio sport/geek stat sport and you don't miss much by listening to it rather than watching it.

City was the underdog for quite some time until the sheiks came and ruined everything I like about them.

But Kolarov and Nastasic are kicking ass there so hooray.

I hate ManU ever since RVP (van Pussy) and Kagawa from BvB came, they ruined the appeal.

Captain Vidic is still doing good.

Arsenal is my heart and West Ham is my soul.

Arsenal king of the hill with Le Boss Arsene humping everyone in the way (fuckin' refs stole those 2 points from us @ Chelsea, that foul on Arteta should have been a red (stamping) and there were 2 uncalled penalties. bah humbug)

WHU is near relegation, with AC injured we're as fucked as ever, looks like Championship next season again :(

Man City are top of the league at the moment so they're definitely not the underdog. XD Go for Crystal Palace if you want to support a premier league underdog.

I like both Manchester United and Manchester City. But I think that Manchester United is better because of how they operate as a team.

Norwich are due for a relegation. has to be said.

We certainly have come a long way in such a short amount of time!

To go from that to reaching the championship playoffs last season makes me so proud to be a fan of this club.

Disappointing result today but I have a good feeling that we will be pushing for the prem again this season. :)

Hey hey hey... Hold your horses! There's still half the season to go as yet. Yes, we have been very disappointing this season though, and I don't think Hughton will stay as manager that much longer if things stay the same. I'd like to see Malky Mackay come in, ex-Norwich Captain, especially after Cardiff sacked him (for no reason). I assume you support Brighton? I think Gus Poyet was a better choice than your current manager.

HAHAHA I have not seen that XD Kolarov is a legend. Great goal he scored for City today against Swansea. One of Man City's better players I think personally. And yes, the money has ruined the club.

Yeah, I don't know how West Ham are down where they are. Don't deserve to be. It's going to be close at the bottom at the end of the season.

From what little I know of England, (What knows he of England if only of England he knows aside) the Footballers Club that a gentleman subscribes to is about as precious to him than his mother and God. That, and:

Manchester City!

Two teams in that place: Manchester City, and Manchester City Reserves.

I'm sorry to any United fans posting on here, but oh how I am loving how Man Utd are doing at the moment!

I'm not sure what it is but I'm sure I'm not alone here, right?

Good to see Swansea being the ones getting one over on them too, they are such a good example of how anything is possible! It was only a few seasons ago that we were facing them in Division 2!

I am a fairly large Stoke City fan. Sort of hard to follow them over here in the states because their games are rarely on TV. My two favorite players are Peter Crouch and Jonathon Walters. And how about that win in the FA Cup on New Years. Nice! Can't wait for the Liverpool game on the 12th.
