Guardian didn't break away he waited for Charcoal to break away first. He was tempted to ask her about her wings but he wasn't sure if he wanted to end this perfect evening. So he stayed there kissing Charcoal, and not backing away. He decided that when she broke away he would ask her.

Charcoal didn't break the kiss for what felt like years. But after a while Charcoal finally broke the kiss with a smile. She sat back down in her seat and sighed. "That was amazing. I'm glad I meet you Guardian. You make me feel so... so... special. Thank you for inviting me over."

Charcoal looked at Guardian with a bit of concern. "O-of course. You can ask me anything. Is something wrong?" Charcoal asked. She was getting genuinely concerned for Guardian. Had something happened?

Charcoal's face darkened at Guardian's question. Normally she would never even consider telling anypony why she didn't fly... but him. "I... it isn't that I don't fly. It is that I can't fly." Charcoal said in a saddened tone. This was a topic she typically avoided.

"I... it's okay. I will have to talk about it eventually." Charcoal said. "I was born this way. The muscles for my wings never developed right, so I don't haven the ability of flight. But... it's okay. I've gotten used to not using my wings very often. Only rarely o I ever use them."

Guardian hugged her again. "I still think your beautiful, nothing will change that."  he still had lots of questions, but he didnt want to keep pushing her with awkward conversations.

Charcoal hugged him back. He felt so warm and she could feel his heart beat. It was strangely calming being in his e.brace like this. "Thank you for understanding. And I will apologies now for when I become an inconvenience."

"Why are you sorry?" as far as he knew she hadnt done anything to inconvenience him. "You did nothing wrong." It was getting late and Guardian didn't say anything letting Charcoal choose when she wanted to leave.

Charcoal said, lecturing Guardian on what she thought of the situation. "But I will become an inconvenience eventually. Just you wait."

Charcoal smiles at those words. "That's... that's the nicest thing anypony has ever said to me. Thank you... so much for just simply caring about me. That's more than anypony has done for me in... well... ever actually. I can't remember a time where I was loved before I meet you."

He completely agreed, "and thank you for not completely shutting me out when we met, ponies do that a lot to me." he looked down saddened. Then he looked up again not wanting to make her also sad. "This was a beautiful evening," Guardian said looking across the sky.

Charcoal looked up as well. "It really is. And anypony who has shut you out is a jerk. They should have at least gotten to know you first. I hate it when ponies do that to other ponies." Charcoal said, ruffling her wings in anger. "But I'm glad I meet you. I guess I should have tone to parties more often."

"Me too, i was just going for dinner, not anything special, but then i noticed there was a party. Am so glad i went, because i met you." he was slowly beginning to nod off. He popped back up, 'Come on Guardian your with a mare... who like you' he thought to himself.

Charcoal felt Guardian jerk and smiled. It was quite easy to tell what was wrong with how late it was getting. She actually yawned, as she was getting tired as well. "Well now, it seems that we are both getting tired now aren't we?" Charcoal asked Guardian.

Guardian smiled at her. "I can stay awake as long as you need" he said. He leaned in and kissed her once more. He still had way enough energy to carry her down to the ground.

Charcoal kissed back, but broke the kiss a few seconds later. "If you are tired you can go to bed. I can sleep on the couch if that's okay with you. I've slept in more uncomfortable places than a cloud, so you wouldn't have to worry about that bothering me." Charcoal said.

"You can take the guest room upstairs. Most Pegasus have one to assist tired fliers." He led her up to the room "good night charcoal" he whispered. Then he went to his own room. He laid down yet couldn't sleep thinking over the evening he had just had. It had been wondeful

Charcoal smiled. "Good night." Charcoal whispered back before Guardian left. She closed the door and took off her dress. She layed it on the end of the bed and crawled under the covers. After she put her glasses on the nightstand she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Guardian woke suddenly from his nightmare, it was a normal one. It was about a patient he couldn't save. The worst part is it was a foal. Only 4. He got and dressed and went down to the kitchen he put his in his hooves.

Charcoal was still asleep in bed. Her night had been most interesting with how she had a nightmare as well. But her nightmare was completely different from Guardian's, this one was about her family. More importantly her parents. She layed in bed with the tears that she was crying in her sleep.
