Guardian heard a quiet sound from upstairs. His was really quiet being up in the clouds. No outside noise. He went up the stairs and hear talking.... No crying from the guest room where charcoal was. He knocked on the door. Are you okay charcoal" he asker her.

Charcoal didn't reply, she was still asleep and her nightmare still continued on. It was only getting worse and worse by the minute. She couldn't seem to be able to wake up on her own, it was like she was being locked into the nightmare filled sleep without rest.

Guardian decided to enter the room. He saw charcoal thrashing around, her eyes still closed. "Charcoal" he yelled. He went over and pulled her close. Wrapping his wings around her trying to some how shelter her from her dreams. He kept saying he name in an effort to wake her up.

Charcoal didn't wake up at first, but she did seem to calm down quite a bit. After a few minutes she began to wake up. Her eyes opened and she yawned and stretched. She noticed the wings around her, then she noticed Guardian. "Oh, good morning Guardian." She kissed him on the nose.

" oh thank god" he said. He didn't know if charcoal remembered her bad dream. This could get real awkward. "You weren't waking up, and you were thrashing around. I tried to wake you but I couldn't. So I tried to comfort you. I hope it did something." He still had his wings around her and realized this might be weird. He left hem there though, she hadn't complained or moved away.

Charcoal sighed. "I'm alright, it was just a nightmare, I have them all the time. You don't need to worry, I'll be fine." Charcoal said, though she was really liking Guardian's embrace with his wings. She leaned into him, she could fall asleep right here and feel no worries.

Guardian nodded "I will always worry about you" he said. He wasn't sure what to think at the moment, he had never been this close to a mare, or ever hugged someone with his wings. 'Stop thinking and just enjoy it' he thought to himself. This mare was amazing.

Charcoal giggled. "While that is very sweet of you, I don't always need to be watched and looked over. I am a grown mare, I can take care of myself. But... thank you for caring so much about me. Just... thank you." That was all Charcoal could think to say at the time, she was just too thankful.

Guardian kissed the top of her head. "I know you are. I can still worry about you though nothing can change that" he said. He was glad this mare was mor independent.

Charcoal smiles. She wrapped her hooves aground him, then she wrapped her wings around him as well. "I guess I can deal with that. But a lot of that worry won't be needed anyway." For some reason Charcoal couldn't deny this stallion.

Guardian smiled as he wrapped her wings around him. He kissed her again. "Thank you" he said. He was afraid she wouldn't let him. It sounded silly but he had met mares who had been completely independent. They hated others helping or even worrying about them.

Charcoal smiles and leans her head on Guardian's chest. He was so warm and comforting to be with. She could stay like this for hours and she would never want to leave. But all good things have to come to an end, and this one was interrupted by her stomach grumbling.

Guardian chuckled "you hungry?" He had the right materials for haycakes if she was in the mood. He was so happy, he finally succeeded in romance. Normally at this time he would be looking in the mirror at a slap mark, or alone at home on his couch. He smiled at started to get up.

Charcoal giggled. "I guess I am. Are you making breakfast or would you like me to?" Charcoal asked as she got up off the bed as well. She grabbed her dress from the night before and put it in her bag with the rest of her stuff.

"I can make some haycakes? If that sounds good ?" He asked. He wen downstairs to give Charcoal some privacy and began to pull out the ingredients to make the cakes. His also grabbed some powdered sugar out to add on top he began to heat the pan as he waited for Charcoal.

Charcoal followed Guardian downstairs a minute later once she had washed up and combed her mane and fur. She always carried around more stuff than necessary. Once she was downstairs she followed the smell of cooking to the kitchen. "Need any help?" She asked Guardian.

"Nah am good, just about done" he handed her a stak of acetal haycakes. He then contoured making some for himself, having gave the first three to her. He took a bite "that's some good haycakes if I do say so myself." He looke over to see how she was doing."you okay?"

Charcoal was just sort if poking her food with her fork. "What? Oh... yeah, I'm fine just... just thinking." Charcoal said. She took a bite from her haycakes and smiled. Despite what had happened she genuinely liked them. "They're great. Thank you for making breakfast."

Guardian smiled. He was at peace, despite the crazy morning he had. He slowly began to clean up the dishes. He waas tired, he hadnt gotten to sleep for a long time, his thoughts occupied by Charcoal. He looked up and smiled. This week was just getting better.

As Guardian was cleaning the dishes from breakfast she started thinking. She was lucky to haven meet a stallion as nice as him. But then her thoughts started drifting to the nightmare she had last night. She looked around for something that wasn't cloud but didn't really see anything.

"What? Oh... yeah just... I'm just thinking. I seem to do it a lot. Nothing to worry about." Charcoal said, trying to get him not to worry as much about her. She really didn't want to burden him with her nightmare story. And it would be hard for her to tell him without her breaking.

Guardian saw the worry etched into her face. He had seen it many times before on his paients as he entered there room. Reading faces was an important skill in his work. "you can tell me anything." he said. He went over to her and put a hoof on her shoulder. "Anything"

"I... well..." Charcoal continued to debate on whether or not she should tell him. Would he think the same of her if she did. "Well... *sigh* alright. It was about my nightmare. It is one that I have quite often. It... it is about my parents." Charcoal admitted. Now that she started, she wouldn't be able to stop.

Guardian looked over. "Okay, you don't have to tell. I have a friend who had been thing with her parents" if she truly didnt want to talk about it, Guardian wouldnt want to force her to talk. He would feel like a bully. He hugged her. A prehug in case she kept telling the story
