Charcoal smiled at her friend. "It has been a while." Charcoal said.

 

Caprisha smiled. "It sure has. Last time I saw you was right before you started that plane wing for that pony in Manehatten. Have you finished that yet?"

 

Charcoal shook her head. "Afraid not, but I am very close to finishing it. I just need to put on the finishing touches."

Guardian sat there awkwardly. He didnt want to interupt. He picked up his book and continued to read, half focused on the book. The majority of him was looking at Charcoal, noticing all the small things that made her so beautiful.

Charcoal suddenly remembered something. "Hey Caprisha, remember how you kept teasing me before about being a lesbian?"

 

Caprisha nodded.

 

"Well check this out." Charcoal walked up to Guardian. She moved the book to the side and began kissing him.

Guardian suddenly found the book pushed aside, and he was now kissing Charocal. It was kind of awkward with her friend there but hey, why not. He stood up and contiuned to kiss her. He broke for a second "Your so beautiful" he said quietly, yet loud enough for her friend to hear.

Caprisha simply watched. Then she chuckled. "Alright, alright, you realm got me. I guess you really proved me wrong this time." Caprisha said.

 

Charcoal smiled at Guardian, ignoring Caprisha. "Thank you. That means the world to me you know."

 

Caprisha came up from behind them. Her horn glowed and a magic aura appeared around Guardian. "Would you mind if I could talk to you in private for a moment?" She asked Guardian.

Guardian looked up. "well i dont have much of a choice do i" he said jokingly. He laid back in the magical aura wondering what this was going to be about. "As long as Charcoals okay with" he said. He layed back in the magic bubble relaxing while he could. However he was ready to get to his hooves if she dropped the bubble.

Charcoal shook her head. "I trust Caprisha so I don't have a problem with it."

 

Caprisha nodded. "Good." She picked Guardian up and carried him into the workshop and closed the door behind her. She set Guardian down and gave him a hard look. "Alright buster, what exactly are you planning to do with my friend?"

Guardian laughed nervously "um what do you mean by that" he was a but scared of this unicorn. She was the in your face type of girl. "Am not planning to do anything bad. Am I at least allowed to love her?" He asked. "Or is that also against the rules." He stood slowly.

"How long have you known her then? She has never been in a relationship before and could very easily be manipulated intoned doing something she shouldn't. Are you saying you haven't and will not do anything bad to her? Nothing at all?" Caprisha pressed.

Guardian thought about what had happened before. 'I guess that's okay' he thought. "Look I haven't been in a relationship before either. This is all brand new to me. I do appreciate someone else looking out for her" he said. He took a small step back from the scary pony.

Caprisha stepped closer. "You still didn't answer my question. Charcoal is like a sister to me and I only want what is best for her. Can you care for Charcoal? Are you financially set? Can you take the task of loving her forever and ever without pause or hesitation?"

He looked up with a sigh "Yes i can care for her, i am surgeon,  so am good financially. Yes i will always love and care for her. I would even die for her, but she doesnt want that. Lets hope it never has to happen." he said. He pushed her back slightly, she had invaded his personal bubble. "I will always... always love her."

Caprisha continued to give Guardian a hard look before backing off and smiling. "That's good. That's all I could ever ask for. Just... be careful with her. She is very fragile despite what she says. Just... don't hurt her."

Guardian nodded "yes, we have talked about past lives ... It must have been terrible for her. Am so sorry she had to go through that. Also is there anything she really likes, am looking for a present to get her" he smiled back at her. He was happy she had finally backed off.

"Well... if you don't mean her work or the ponies who are close to her then... I would say you should get her the flower she loves. If you didn't already know, she isn't really one for knowing what flowers are good or not. So she usually just doesn't pay attention to them at all. But that flower... she just loves it more than anything. If you go to the pony names Lilly in the market and ask for some Fire Lillies then tell her you were sent by me she should give you some. They aren't exactly very common around here."

"Yes, thank you so much." He said. Guardian turned and led her back to Charcoal. He still had a smile on his face. "Hello again love" he said to Charcoal. He stood by her. Meanwhile his mind was wrapped in thoughts how could he get some flowers. "Love would you mind if I went back to my house, I need to make sure I have nothing coming up on my schedule. I also forgot my phone." He asked. If she said yes the flowers would be easy.

Charcoal smiled. "Of course you can sweetie. I'm not keeping you here, you can leave any time you want to. And I will still be here when you get back. I will probably be in the shop since I have no help with the counter."

Guardian quickly I left Charcoal's house. His phone was already in his saddlebag. He trotted to the market and quickly found the stand named Lily's Flowers. He went to the pony running the stan. "would you know Lily is, Caprisha sent me. She said you had some fire lilies." He said

"Oh, I see." She walked behind her stands for a moment. She came back out a moment later. "It is a nice pick, but it will cost you. 10 bits for one flower and 30 for a bundle. That is the best I can do for you this time." The mare said as she brought out a bundle of large lillies that looked like they were on fire, but it was just their color.

"30 bits it is for the bundle." he said. Any amount was worth the cost. He also stopped and bought a diamond necklace for Charcoal. He hurried back with gifts and stepped in the shop making sure Charcoal wasnt there. "Charcoal" he called. Guardian wanted to surprise her.

"I'm in the workshop." Charcoal called from the workshop. Caprisha was in the shop though.

 

"So, did you get her the you know what?" Caprisha asked Guardian in a whisper in case Charcoal was listening in on the two of them. She wanted this to be a surprise to Charcoal as well.

"That and a bit more showing her the gifts, i thought the necklace would look amazing on her." Guardian whispered. He walked forward towards the shop. "Charcoal, love, can you please close your eyes" he called from around the corner. He hoped she liked the gift.@@Charcoal Embers,

"Um... alright. But I'm not going to close my eyes. I'll take off my glasses instead." Charcoal said. A minute later she came in without her glasses. She looked at Guardian but he was just a big blurry image to her. "Alright, what is it you need Guardian? Did you need me for something?"

Guardian slowly approached her and attached the necklace around her neck. The diamonds sparkled spectacularly on her neck. He pulled out the flowers as well. "Alright you can look." he said. He was terrified she wouldnt like the gifts. As he had said to  Caprisha he was new to this romance thing.

Charcoal put her glasses back on and gasped. "Fire Lillies? Oh my Luna these are my favorite. How did you know I..." Charcoal cut off her own question as she realized the answer. "Nevermind. But thank you, I live them." Then she noticed the necklace and frowned. "Why so much? This necklace couldn't have been cheep."
