"When I was a filly, still living with my parents, I wasn't the daughter they wanted because... you know." She motioned to her wings. "And... well... it frustrated them. And they took that frustrations out... on me." Charcoal was beginning to cry.

Guardian hugged her close and kissed th top of her hair. "Shhh, they're gone now. Your fine, ill protect you." he whispered. A tear leaked out of his eye. No philly should have do deal with this. He would protect her as long as he could. "Am very sorry that had to happen to you, but your parents are gone, i'll protect you" he repeated. he kissed her again.

"That isn't the end of my story. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran away from home. I took a balloon to Ponyville to try and get away, but things didn't go as planned. The bottom of the balloon broke and I fell. When I came to I was in the Everfree. After a long and painful trek I finally made it out of the forest. Everything else past that until I wake up in the hospital is a blur."

Charcoal smiled and chuckled. "Thank you. But the story still isn't over, but it gets much less sad. After I got out of the hospital I was able to attend the school. And since I didn't have a place to stay I built one myself, which is how I got my cutie mark." Charcoal explained, showing Guardian her cutie mark or a rolled up blueprint.

Charcoal smiled and hugged him. "Thanks. But unfortunately I have to get to work today. But you could come with me if you like." Charcoal said with a smile. "I work at home so I could even show you my house while we are there. That is... if you want to do it anyway."

Charcoal smiled. "Alright. Let's go then." Charcoal walks to the front door. She opens it and walks to the edge of the cloud house. "Think you could carry me down with you?" Charcoal asked. "And if you don't, that's fine. I'm sure I can think of some way to get down from here."

Guardian let her climb on to his back and flew down slow and steady from his house to the ground. He enjoied having her on his back. It made him feel important. This mare made him feel so much better about himself.

Charcoal climbed off Guardian's back once they hit the ground. "Alright. My house is this way." Charcoal starts walking in the direction of her house. It was a pretty good distance away from where Guardian lived, but they eventually made it. It was two stories tall with a small building right next to it.

"Home sweet home" he said to no one in praticular. He followed her inside, not sure what to exspect from the mare beside him. 'No matter what, it will be amazing, quite like her' he thought to himself.@@Charcoal Embers,

Charcoal smiled. "Well this is my home. Would you like me to show you around or would you like to help me with working?" Charcoal asked him. "I mean, if you don't want to help me with working that would be perfectly fine. I'm sure I could find something for you to do."

Charcoal nodded. "Alright. I guess I will show you around first." Charcoal led Guardian to the left where they entered the living room. "Here is the living room." It had a couch against one wall, a chair against another and a table in the middle of the room.

Guardian followed her around the house, carefully examining where everything was so he could find his way around. He noticed that his eyes started to drift more to her then the rooms. She was really very pretty. 'Alright guardian don't screw this up' he thought

Charcoal decided to finish up the tour by bringing Guardian up to her room. She walked him upstairs and to the end of the hall. "And we will finish up with my room." She opened up the door and brought him in. The room had one dresser, one bed, a nightstand, and blueprints completely covering the walls.

Guardian looked around in amazement. "These blueprints... Did you make all of then?" He asked questionky. Most of then did look truly amazing and he was stunned some pony could even read them. Then again he was a doctor not an egineer, this was her job

Charcoal smiled and nodded. "Yep. All of them were made by me. And I've build all of them at least once. When you live by yourself like I have you have a lot of time to mess around."

"well Ms. Charcoal, am sorry to say, but that time has come to an end." he said jokingly. "Nah am kidding, i don't want to get in the way of your work." he chuckled slightly. "This house is amazing" he looked around at all the blueprints, then back at Charcoal amazed one pony could do all this.

Charcoal chuckles. "I can imagine being in just a casual conversation with a pony while showing them my house and them saying 'this is a very nice house you have' and I respond with 'thanks, I made it myself'." Charcoal began laughing at the ponies reacion.

Guardian smiled at Charcoal. "I dont think am that funny" he said as she laughed. He sat down next to her in what appeared to be her office, "So what work do you have?" he asked her. He was still amazed at the amount of work this one pony could do.

Guardian picked up a slightly spiky object, "What does this do?" he asked. He then set it down realizing he was starting to be annoying. "Am sorry, i should let you work" he said. He sat down and closed his mouth, waiting to see what Charcoals plans would be for the day.

"No, it's alright. I can start at any time, and I don't need to open up the store until... about 11:00. So we have time if you want to do something." Charcoal said with a smile before walking back to him. "So what was it that you wanted to know what it was?" Charcoal asked.
