Double Rainwave (my ponysona/OC) drawing

Howdy.

 

Inspired by this post I tried to draw my OC/ponysona, Double Rainwave, using only GIMP and mouse (I don't have a tablet). It's the same as in my avatar, but that one was made in Pony Generator, and I wanted to draw it myself, because the generator version looks a bit lame to me.

 

Here's the finished work with shading:

 

 

I think I overdid it a bit, but oh well, it's my first time :-P

And here's one without shading:

 

 

I'd say it's more "show-accurate" if it weren't an OC which doesn't appear in the show, and if the show animators weren't using more shading lately

 

Which one is better?

I'd like to hear your critique/advices, you know, what's good, and what needs to be improved.

Edit: Yeah, seems that I'm better off with vectors than with raster art

I really like it. It looks WAY better than anything I have ever created, thats for sure
