I played this at a PS4 demo station at Gamestop last thursday. I actually liked it. I haven't played the full game obviously, but it seems the review scores are so harsh because it actually has some challenge to it and it's not a AAA shooter or something.

i never got the oppurtunity to play it, but i have been watching a walkthrough and it looks like an amazing game!

i'm getting the PS4 soon so i'll definately buy it then, but for now walkthroughs on youtube it is!

I played this at a PS4 demo station at Gamestop last thursday. I actually liked it. I haven't played the full game obviously, but it seems the review scores are so harsh because it actually has some challenge to it and it's not a AAA shooter or something.

The difficulty is uneven and all over the place. One minute the game is fair, next it is pretty much unbearable. Doesn't help that some of the levels have so much unnecessary junk littered in them, it's totally by chance if you win. Knack is comparable to a poorly designed NES game that was brutally hard because it was programmed bad.

 

Resogun on the other hand is brutal and merciless but fair.

Yeah, even if you're REALLY good and on Easy, you're still going to die... A lot.
