open Broken World: Equestria

Firestorm

Hiccup soon realized that he wasn't alone, as he counted three other ponies scouraging around the wreckage. He also eyed the sheets of metal two of the ponies were carrying, and his inventive mind sparked.

"Hmm... maybe if I could create a sheet metal bender, I could possibly make some weapons..."

The sun was falling quickly, as Hiccup spotted monstrosities of the desert closing in on the wreckage. The fire proved to be a good propellant, but it was not a barrier.

"I better make that bender... and soon..."

Strong Hooves

You pry open a crate and find a pile of prosthetic body parts. You notice the parts are products of Equestria Robotics, a cybernetics and weapons manufacturing company sanctioned by the Hierarchy. You find nothing of use in this crate. You move on to the next crate and open it. You find the following items:

[10mm bullet clips] x 3

Type: Normal

Bonus: N/A

[10mm bullet clips] x 1

Type: Armor-Piercing

Bonus: Negate enemy Armor Class by 5

[Hierarchy Pistol] x 2

Damage: 4

Durability: 50/50

Ammo Type: 10mm bullet

Clip Size: 12

Requirements: N/A

[Kevlar Armor] x 3

AC: 5

Durability: 100/100

Bonus: +10 AC against bullets

Weight: Light

Your actions cost you 2 points of your steel pipe's durability. There is another crate, much sturdier than the rest but with some strength, you can open it. Either that or you can attempt to bash it open but risk breaking objects inside it. What will you do?

>Pry it open with your steel pipe(Strength required: 8, Durability Cost: 2)

>Bash it open (Runs a risk of breaking whatever is inside)

>Leave it alone

Dichromate

Toying with the circlet, you find a button on it. You press it and a soft whirring sound emits from the circlet. Moments later, two blue holographic eyepieces appeared. You try it on and see a login screen projected on the holographic eyepieces. A female voice greets you.

"TaBCoM Unit-10 online. Username and password required. Any illegal attempts made to access this unit will be reported to Hierarchy Unit Command."

A holographic keypad appears along with a crosshair which tracks your eyes' movements. What will you do next?

>Hack it (requires a hacktool)

>Attempt login (you have 3 attempts)

>Keep it for later

Nidal gazes out across the expanse around them again, for she is in the air high above the camp and looking for anything of interest.

((If it is night, then settlements should be even easier to find for light and stuff.))

Dichromate rolled his eyes. "i'll hang on to this." He turned it off and flipped it into the pouch where the ten coins he had picked up earlier were stored.

(Speaking of, no one actually picked up the 30 the scorpion dropped :P)

As Hiccup watched the approaching monsters, he threw out the thought of surviving alone, and walked around the wreckage to what appeared to be a door, even though it was heavily damaged. Carefully, he approached the door and gently opened it, peeking his head inside for shelter.

Inside, he saw three ponies fiddling around with multiple objects around the room. One pony was looking at a group of boxes in a corner, the other playing around what looked to be electrical circuitry, and the third simply sitting around.

He then said, "Hello?"

Please don't kill me, please don't kill me...

And stuff.

Dichromate looked up. "Oh great, who's this?"

Sunrise backed away fearfully. In this post-apocalyptic world, strangers were never good things.

Hiccup raised an eyebrow at the pony who was now retreating from his presence. He was quite surprised actually, as his scrawny frame and very UN-muscular body didn't exactly ward the bandits away. Having a pony who was fearful of him was... strange. Hiccup survived this harsh landscape using his wits, not so much by strength.

"Thanks for the encouragement..." Hiccup mumbled, as he turned back toward the other pony.

Absolon made a gesture towards a narrow passage he found.

"Well Hiccup, If my instincts are correct than this might be the direction towards the hold of the ship. No doubt stocked with trinkets for you to take. Would you care to lend a hand?"

Absolon followed Hiccup down the corridor.

"Now, stop me if I'm offending you. But what in Equestria is a pony like you doing out in the middle of the desert? There's hardly anything of value out here.....bar the occasional crashed ship."

Just to clarifly- Heres Absolons current inventory.

((Making this post more for the inventory check. Eldar, when did he pick up the medkits?))

Nidal flapped her wings and looked over the surrounding area once more, making sure she memorized it nicely.

To the far east, all Nidal can see is desert stretching for as far as she can see in the low visibility of the moon. Towards the north, she can see lights in the distance, farther away than they could reasonably go in a few days. To the northeast, she sees the dark shapes of buildings that outline a town. To the south, the darkness cuts her vision short again. The west quickly comes across the ocean which stretches for as far as she can see. It is difficult to tell if there is any grass towards the town or if it is built upon the desert itself. One would think that grassy locations are more likely to house towns, but it is not unknown for a town to be built in the middle of a desert. Everything else is unknown.

(You do not have a map to mark the locations. You must memorize them.)

Nidal memorizes the town's location relative to the crash site and the larger, brighter city to the north. She flies back down and enters the hull of the ship to see Strong Hooves pry a box open with the steel pipe (I'm nearly 100% sure this would be what he would do. This is the heavier, tougher box.)

She goes over to the box that was already opened and takes a kevlar armor, the clips which she would give to anyone else who picked up a gun, and one of the two perfect condition pistols.

Strong Hooves opened the crate with the aid of his steel pipe after much effort. You find more useful items and equipments inside and most importantly, a map of the wasteland.

You find the following:

[Map] x 1

Description: Exactly what you need to go around and plan your next move

[small Medkit] x 5

HP Recover: 15

[Medium Medkit] x 1

HP Recover: 45

[Lockpick] x 3

Use: Open non-electronic locks

[Metal Coins]

Value: 25

[A Magically Locked Iron Box]

Description: You have no idea what is in there

The occasional howls of nocturnal mutants fills the night but with a fire going on near the wreckage, none of them come close to your position. In the distant sand dunes, you vaguely see the outline of a gigantic creature diving in and out of the sands. It is a sand whale, a large worm-like giant that feeds on anything that gets in its way. You also see several large cockroach-like creatures skittering about nearby, searching for cacti to feed on. Some of them seem to look at you but ignore you after you show no response to them. However, you remain on alert.

There is nothing much to do now but wait for the night to pass.

Seeing the items that Strong just opened up, Nidal took the metal coins, two of the lockpicks, two of the medkits, and the map. Being who she is, she took the iron box even if she couldn't open it.

Nidal headed outside and used the low light of the moon to look over where the fight with the scorpions had taken place. A small glint in the dirt made her smile as she flew over to it and picked up the coins. ((Which I'm putting in my inventory to value 5 each, so she has 11 of them.))

She flew back into the hull and looked around again, content with what had transpired. She looked at those inside the ship and spoke, "It seems that we're safe for now, and that we're not alone out here. There's a nearby town to the northeast and a larger city far away to the north."

As you search the wreckage of the ship's command bridge, you hear some noises coming from the captain's seat. Pushing aside the body of the dead Hierarchy Captain, you stumble upon a data cube which contains the captain's voice log. You hear the following:

"This is Captain Vantis Hayston of Prison Ship-005 dated March 15, 700. We're setting course back to Capital Prime with these prisoners accused of conspiring with the rebels against the Hierarch and her Senate. By orders of Hierarch Yvanna Archer, these prisoners are to be trialed by the Hierarch Inquisition and reeducated. Failing that......Lieutenant, activate shields now! Shoot down that missile damn it! Where is it coming from?!"

The log ended rather abruptly after you hear the sound of a violent explosion. You do not need telling twice that you and your companions are wanted criminals by the Hierarchy but you do not recall working for any rebel nor did you do anything to provoke the Hierarchy to capture you. At least that's what you think. One thing is clear though, whoever shot down the ship must have hated the Hierarchy. Wanting to know more about how you and your companions got into this mess in the first place, you make up your mind to head Northeast towards a town that Nidel spotted not too long ago. You found the ship's black box but it is sandwiched between the floor and a heavy piece of metal block. It's useless.

To all players, would you call it a day and rest or do you want to continue searching the wreck?

>Hit the sack (completes Day 1 and Quest 1)

>Continue searching

The room was dead silent as the data cube turned off, so quiet one could hear a pin drop. Awkward glances were given, as Hiccup turned to the two ponies behind him.

"Wh-what? You two... are rebels?" Hiccup quickly glanced toward the nearest escape, his heart beating a million times a minute. He was ready to run... or fight...

And stuff.

(Forgot to check this for a long time, so I think both of my ponies are still inside the ship away from the others)

"Where did everyone else go?" Dichromate asked, looking up. He swiveled his head, but couldn't find a trace of them. "The buck...?"

Carefully gripping the items that he still had on his person, he proceeded out of the doorway until he was in a hall. Looking both ways, he growled in irritation as he realized that there were many more doors than he could check in time.

"You," he growled to Sunrise, who was peeking her head through various doors in an attempt to find something useful. Sunrise jumped in surprise.

"Y-yes?" she asked nervously. He didn't change his mind, did he?

Dichromate waved a hood towards the eastern section of the ship. "We seem to have lost the others somewhere. Look over there are see if you can find them." WIthout another word he turned, heading westwards.

Sunrise blinked, baffled, before sqeaking a quick ,"Ok!" behind his back and running of towards the east.

Absolon remained still.

"Well, yes. But I don't see how this changes anything. I was arrested for doing something I wasn't even aware of and besides If you sympathise with the Hierachy than I belive It's you that should be doing the explaining. Out here It's us against the world and we can't afford to waste our energy in-fighting now. It's been a long day and we need to leave very early in the moring If we intend to reach that settlement Nidal was talking about."
