Luna glared at Grell, "I do care about Steel! My daughters and then Steel, that's all that matters to me anymore, that's all I have left!" She fumed and wondered how much her magic had faded so much that she hadn't noticed how hurt Steel was. She covered her doubt with bravado, "you just underestimate Steel like everypony else. You don't know his limits or how strong he is, if he was too hurt he would tell me. He's smarter than you think, he'd know if he was pushing himself too far!"

She spun from away from the undertaker, smiled back at her fillies who were still giggling and playing, "Nope, as long as you don't fight princesses get to make up their own bed times and even meals. I had quite the sweet tooth." She grinned at them. "But right now we need to go and find Steel and Wanderlust. Then we need to find the next Sun Shard and stop that nasty cold breeze." Purposefully getting the name wrong to make him seem less frightening.

Wanderlust was amazed, obviously Steel was in pain and feeling the full pain of the powder but still he hasn't made a sound, "is it still hurting? It's not supposed to last long, but I've never done a wound this big or used this much powder before. I must have been a hell of a 'nothing' to hurt you like this."

Fluttershy heard the other pony call out and she let out a gasp quickly looking in the direction it had come from. She was wearing a brown cloak with the hood up and half her face was covered by her pink mane, but the eye not under her hair met the stallions eyes and her eye went huge and wide. "Ze-Ze-ZECORA!!!!" She screamed as she started running from the scary pony that was holding a sword! Her mind raced and she thought crying to herself. 'He's a bandit and he's, he's going to attack me or capture me or hurt meeeeee!'

In reality she squeaked and kept squeaking as she ran. She wanted to call out for Angel or Harry the Bear or Zecora again any of her friends but the words wouldn't come, she just kept squeaking as she raced toward Zecora's hut.

(If you guys remember way way back we saw the glimpse of fluttershy being carried by her animals and Wanderlust tried to talk to them. Yeah well they were carrying her to Zecora's hut to get help)

"Isn't the nearest sun shard in Froggy Bottom Bogg? From there I think we could go to the Crystal Empire." Melody glanced at the Everfree Forest, sprawled below. 《And I have a feeling thst something good is waiting for us at the Everfree Forest. Its sort of itchy, and I can feel a little pull that way.》 She pointed in the direction of the Everfree.

Embers tilted his head and looked at her run off "Wait! No no no! Please who ever you are, I need your help!" He slowly walked after her, sighing as he went. He put his sword away, seeing as it was more scared of him then him of it "I wont stab you, Im sorry! I just...need your help"

Fluttershy could only hear some of what the other pony was yelling through her own crying but it was enough. What she heard was, "No no no! I need... Stab you! I need your..."

 

She didn't know what of hers he needed but she didn't want to find out! Her squeaking cries became a quiet gentle scream as her heart hammered faster in her chest. She reached Zecora's hut threw the door open jumped inside and then daintily closed the door again. Then rush to Zecora crying and hugging her side.

 

Zecora looked surprised at Fluttershy's actions, "hush now, what is it child? What's happened to drive you so wild?" Fluttershy gestured toward the door and squeaked, "again is it those crazy dogs? I make them squeal like wild hogs!" Zecora moved to the wall and grabbed her bamboo staff before starting toward the door. Fluttershy clung to her shake her head vigorously, "relax my little pony, I'm sure your fear is full of baloney."

 

She exited the hut, moving outside and looking about, her bamboo staff at the ready. Fluttershy hid in the doorway peering out fearfully.

Luna had started everyone moving down the mountain toward where she felt Steel was, "The nearest shard is in Froggy bottom bogg, but the one in the crystal empire is the one that Runedawn hit toward us. So we don't even need to head that direction, and I think that is for the best. The farther away we stay from that frozen thing the better and that seems to have been where he-" she lifted a still sleeping Runedawn with her magic, "-met that monster." She ran a hoof through Melody's mane, "maybe you are feeling the call of the tree of harmony? It called to me and Celestia long ago when we needed it most."

"Take your time, explain and talk, maybe we'll help or away you'll walk." She never lowered her staff, and Fluttershy continued to peer nervously from the doorway clinging tightly to it.

Embers steped back, thinking about who the bloody heck this was. He sighed and kicked his sword over, sat down, and stared at her "My name is embers, do you have any food?" He laughed and fell over backwords, he could see the stars...there were so many...then he thought back to willow

Zecora stared at the strange stallion that had fallen to it's back laughing and now laid staring at the sky. "It seems you are not a threat so I will not ask you to leave yet." She hit the sword with her staff and caused it to flip into the air and expertly caught it in her mouth, then trotted back to her hut and tossed it inside.

 

"To still be alive is quite a feat, Fluttershy get our guest something to eat."

 

Fluttershy tapped her hooves together nervously looking uncertain"Oh, um well, okay if you think he's not dangerous." She looked over at Embers, and her voice was barely audible, "I'm sorry I was scared of you." She then darted back into the hut. Gathering some bread, cheese and apple slices for their new friend. She was really glad that this pony turned out to be nice and didn't want to stab her.

 

Zecora addressed Embers, "I'm Zecora, and do tell, who are you and how did you survive this world going to hell?" Fluttershy had returned with the food on a plate and almost dropped it, "Zecora, I um, really don't think you should use such language." Zecora ignored Fluttershy and continued to stare at Embers.

Luna was following her mental connection to Steel and soon saw him struggling to hobble up the mountain path. She gasped at the large black gooey scab on his stomach and rushed to meet him.

 

"Steel! What happened?! Your stomach! What is that!" When she reaches him she abruptly hoofslapped him across the face and yelled at him, "if I have to order you around I will! Don't you dare take stupid risks! I order you to let me know when you're not strong enough or well enough to accomplish something!"

 

Just as suddenly as she had slapped him before she hugged him close, "Grell said you could've died, and it would have been my fault for thinking you were okay. Get it through your thick skull my orders are not worth your life! You are to important to Equestria!" She added quietly, "you're too important too me." She then blushed and pulled away realizing she had that emotional outburst and had hugged him in front of everyone. She looked sheepish uncertain of what else to say.

Runedawn didn't know how long he had been trapped in his mind. The darkness and pain was all consuming. "Haven't you tormented me... US enough!" He screamed at Ironhearted, who was hiding in the darkness of his mind waiting for Runedawn to let down his guard. If he even stopped concentrating for just a minute he'd lose control of himself. "Enough? I have a plan for you Runedawn..." He whispered. Runedawn was scared. He had finally gotten his freedom, at an extreme cost, and now this happened. He could not let Ironhearted take control again. "North Wind betrayed you! There is no need for you to serve him, why would you even want to!" He rambled. Ironhearted chuckled. Through the mists of Runedawns imagination it felt like cold shivers going down his spine. "Oh, I don't mean to serve North Wind anymore. I just want to be the one to thrust a cold piece of steal through his heart, and you are in the way..." He said with a maniacal tone. Runedawn started to speak again. "Then we want the same-" He couldn't finish his sentance. Searing pain came from his chest. It was like something was stomping to get out. Then his head started to feel like there were a thousand pins trying to force their way into his skull. His veins were on fire. He screamed mentally, but nothing happened in the real world. He didn't know where he was, and who was there to help him...

 

"Runedawn, I promise you pain without end until you let me take control..." Ironhearted commanded. His eyes appeared in front of him in the darkness so bright that it hurted. "Would you pain yourself even more? Haven't you had enough? Perhaps it is time for a little sleep. Just let go Runedawn, I'll take it over from here." He said softly, but with a taunting undertone.

 

In the real world, Runedawns heart began to pound violently, and his body began to sweat rigoriously. A few little twitches from his muscle gave away that there was something bad going on. He was silent as the grave still, but his heart was pounding so hard that it could be heard.

 

(sorry for being away for so long guys. I have no idea OOC and IC where I am, someone will have to explain to Runedawn... Though he'll need some help first)

Luna was glad her daughters had given her a good excuse to back away from her hug with Steel without being too awkward. She looked at them, "really? You both can feel all that? Your magic must really be awakening... I-I didn't know it was already that strong. Y-yes, yes of course we have to go check and find out what it is then. You both need to learn to understand your magic as much as possible."

I need you to come back after you finish whatever mission I ask you to do, I don't know what I would do if you bleed out simply walking to go retrieve the vagabond." Wanderlust who had only gotten to the group interjected, "thanks I feel so appreciated by the way." Luna ignored him, and turned to Grell, "you tell him. Luna gave an exasperated sigh and wondered why Steel had to be so thick headed. "I haven't seen Embers since..." The fact that it was before she had died made her pause, "... earlier. But the girls are right I can sense the sun shard still and he's in Everfree for some reason." Something else caught her attention and made her spine tingle with unease, "the other sun shard isn't in Froggy bottom bogg anymore though. We need to go retrieve Embers before trying to get the other sun shard, I promise you that."

 

Wanderlust nodded, "Embers didn't let me forget who I was I'm not going to forget about Embers we're a group we stay together no matter what." He glared at the princess thinking she would probably leave him or Embers behind if she had any reason she felt was good enough. "Let's get going." He started back down the mountain leading just ahead of the fillies.

Zecora swung her staff at Ember aiming for his stomach and want to knock him back way from the sword and hut, "I know not what kept you alive, or of the saying where the stupid survive, but where I'm from the foolish do not thrive."

 

Fluttershy cried out, moving away from the door to the hut she also grabbed the sword afraid the stallion would somehow get through, she moved deeper into the hut and drew the blade giving a little uncomfortable squeal just looking at the sharp blade and prayed she wouldn't have to use it.

Fluttershy let out a frightened squeak and dropped the sword be before diving under the bed to hide and peering out fearfully.

 

Zecora just raised an eyebrow and looked somewhat uncertain, "I don't know if you should stay around, it is quite apparent you're mind is unsound." She kept the bamboo staff ready and moved it to block the door and show the hut was off limits. "You should do your best to behave, return us the kindness that we gave."

" Ohhh yeah, the kindness...Mmmmm..." He moved his head forward, squinting at her "Like stealing my sword? Giving me ROCKS?" He looked at a rock, grabbed it, and shoved it into his face, then spat it out "GIMMY!" He hissed at her and walked around slowly, tilted his head

Zecora mimicked Embers movement staying between him and the hut, "I do not understand all the fuss, as a sign of trust you gave your sword to us. If you take that away then we can not let you stay."

 

Fluttershy called out to Zecora, "he's scary, maybe we should give him the sword so he'll leave."

Fluttershy was still peering from under the bed to frightened to leave it, "is he okay?"

 

"I do not know and I do not care. We shall leave him laying there." Zecora said coldly as she moved into the hut, kicking the sword out and starting to close the door.

 

"Wait! We can't just leave him, he could be hurt or die! And he said it was my fault, he was acting that way because I gave him stale bread, I would have given him fresh bread but we don't have any and I thought he'd still like some bread but he didn't and, and" Fluttershy's voice got smaller and smaller as she started to cry and babble hysterically.

 

Zecora sounded a little exasperated, but she comforted Fluttershy, "Fluttershy it is not your fault, that ponies mind is broken by default. We may be able to help him later, when his body weakens and his consciousness begins to waiver." She closed the door and locked it taking a seat to look out the window and watch Embers.

 

"So were just going to wait until he's too weak to be all crazy and then we can help him? I-I don't know it seems mean." But Zecora didn't respond she simply continued to sit and watch the pony outside warily.

 

(Yeah, crazy is not going to make Embers many friends :/ or inspire much trust in him haha fun to watch though)

The feeling... its stronger!》"And the two Sun Shards are close, really, really close!" When Steel took flight and left them behind, Melody cried out. 《No! Wait!》
