Clover Heart 978 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 I don't know if this can be fixed or if it's important enough to be posted here, but if it is possible to fix, I'd appreciate it. http://mlpforums.com/topic/82982-childfree-by-choice/ I created this topic about two weeks ago. My original post was rather lengthy at 3000-4000 characters. As you can see, it's no longer that length. In fact, it cuts off in the middle of a word. When I first posted this, I remember that it was definitely not like this. I visited this topic several times and each time, it was the original length that I had posted. Is it possible to restore this post? And if not, is it possible to let me know how this happened so I might avoid this happening in the future? Or might this be a bug? I wouldn't mind so much except one, I spent a lot of time writing it and it was a long, thoughtful post and two, I was the creator of the topic, so people reading for the first time may not understand my gist or simply think I'm an idiot or something. Anyway, if this could be resolved, I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. 2 You're the most basic of jokes.
Sunny Fox 5,950 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 I passed the word up the line. I'm sure someone will look into it, and hopefully fix the problem. 4 Happy minion of The Fabulous One! valete 195 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 I've actually seen other posts that also got 'eaten', and I've sent in an email to tech@mlpforums.com. The only difference was that this time, it was the board constitution that I linked to them (along with a couple of other posts). I hope these issues get solved soon (without much hassle on the tech team, hopefully)!
That One Techpriest You Used To Know 2,286 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 Considering that the data servers took a headtrip, that wouldn't surprise me one bit. Hey, not everything can be restored perfectly.
SasQ 1,376 January 6, 2014 Share January 6, 2014 I've just found one of my posts cut in half, too. Here's the post: http://mlpforums.com/topic/60489-mlp-religion/page-3#entry1793534 The original post was longer, and I'm sure that it was, because I described there the idea of a quest for finding the Elements of Harmony in our Human World (their "spirits"/"essences"), and I don't see it there :-( I reference this post from other posts, but now, when this fragment is missing, it invalidates the whole purpose of it :-/ Is it some problem caused by the database server crashing lately? I hope that my other "important" posts haven't been cut, because for many of them I don't have any backup :..-( My best posts list Recent post: Language Exchange

SasQ 1,376 January 8, 2014 Share January 8, 2014 I sent URLs to the broken posts in an e-mail from go2.pl, Date: Tue, 07 Jan 2014 03:50:01 +0100. So if your post is from 2014-01-07T17:17:31+00:00, I guess my e-mail didn't make it (I heard that some Polish mail servers are banned by administrators in USA), so I repeat its content here: Well, several of my posts seem to be very trimmed. Here is a few I found so far:http://mlpforums.com/topic/23275-s01e15-feeling-pinkie-keen/page-3#entry1656409http://mlpforums.com/topic/79114-portal-to-equestria/page-2#entry2039499http://mlpforums.com/topic/56496-guide-to-telling-people-you-are-a-brony/#entry1350921http://mlpforums.com/topic/60489-mlp-religion/page-3#entry1793534http://mlpforums.com/topic/57560-going-vegetarian/page-15#entry1539235Seems like my every post which was longer than around 1000 characters has been corrupted :-/There are even whole threads totally destroyed ;-@http://mlpforums.com/topic/45643-symbolism-in-mlpfim-and-hidden-knowledge/http://mlpforums.com/topic/78573-mlp-star-wars-crossover-story-dream-inspired/I put a lot of effort and thought in writing those articles, those were very longposts, and I don't have any backups of them. I hope they're not gone forever... :,-( We are receiving a lot of requests so I kindly ask your patience when waiting for a response, but all content posted prior to December 23 should be recoverable. No problem, I'll wait. Better later than never. Your response above is very uplifting, since all these posts were from before Dec. 23: my Internet connection was broken throughout all Christmas holidays. Creamy Arty 6,252 January 8, 2014 Share January 8, 2014 @@SasQ, you can also go here to create a support ticket, and select Technical Issues/Bug Reports for the department. 1 Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights! SCS 7,537 January 20, 2014 Share January 20, 2014 Hi @SasQ - did you ever send in a support ticket about this? That would be the best way to ensure that your content is recovered.
SasQ 1,376 January 21, 2014 Share January 21, 2014 I thought it's enough if I described the problem here, since the staff members have seen my post here already. But OK, I've just created the ticket. Thanks. I've moved your ticket to a department where it will be more readily seen by the technical administrators specifically - you should hopefully receive a response soon. Given that you will now be communicating directly with the technical administration staff regarding this issue via support tickets, I will lock this thread.
