Singe 2,111 January 18, 2014 Share January 18, 2014 (edited) I was thinking as an evolution to Applejack's overwhelming solo work and then she uses the help of her friends a lot. The next step would be to make it where the other Mane 5 are preoccupied with other things to help Applejack the next time around. Twilight suggests that Applejack hires some extra ponies to work. So Applejack has a hard time with the idea of hiring workers to work on the farm. There are several paths... 1. hire a worker who ends up doing more damage then helping2. hire a worker who is competent and leaves nothing for the Apple family to do3. hire a worker who demands too much pay but doesn't want to work half of the time.4. hire a worker who is not even qualified for comedy purposes.5. hire a worker who Applejack is very bossy towards6. hire a worker but ends up destroying the barn... Or just hire Derpy Hooves. Applejack tells Derpy to buck a tree to make the apples drop. Derpy unable to buck like AJ instead rams into a tree causing it to fall over doing a domino effect of knocking other trees over. Derpy tries her hoof at making some cider. Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie drink it which causes them to suffer a funny cartoonish gagging and convulsion. AJ can trust her friends very well, that is why they are willing to help her with any problem that she has. Makes me also wonder why, no other family works on that farm? True they have family everywhere, but why is the first Apple Family farm so understaff? Not to mention it's the only farm (to what we know) that has Zap Apple trees. Makes me also wonder why, no other family works on that farm? True they have family everywhere, but why is the first Apple Family farm so understaff? Not to mention it's the only farm (to what we know) that has Zap Apple trees. You think the family would be fighting over this farm. The Cider side business comes up short due to the understaff and so they run out of supply, leaving disgruntle customers. Shanks 10,817 January 19, 2014 Share January 19, 2014 In this one fanfic idea I have the Apple Family has to hire farm hands because of the increased apple yield thanks to the vampire fruit bats spreading the seeds like Fluttershy predicted. Of course what they also spread is guano and lots of it which the Apple Family uses as fertilizer but they soon get swarmed with more of than they could possibly use so they give away some to family but still have too much so they have to start selling it. Of course my fanfic idea could never become an episode as is because of the the over the top toilet humor and profanity but an increased apple yield thanks to the bats spreadin the seeds is quite plausible and would make an excellent episode. Applejack has learned to let her friends help her but there may be a time where she may need help every day and her friends can't do that because they have other responsibilities and the othe Apple Family members are running their own orchards.
