"Welll...it belongs to a certain pony...who once had a Ferrari of his own...but wrecked it...a certain pony who is in this room right here and now..." Nitro stated. He wasn't gonna make this easy for Rut to guess. He did give him one hint, hoping Rut would realize who the pony was.

"Nothing.... it just part of me is all..... It only happens when I have a bad dream or a suppressed memory..." He explained to Thunder as he wiped the blood of his mouth. He then gets off his boot and stretches his legs and cracks his neck to relieve some stress in some joints. He then takes another bottle of vodka and takes a swig of it, he then burps fire. "Heh, excuse me..." He apologized."So.... Do you guys always do pink slip races? Or do you guys do races for fun?" He asked Thunder.

"We race for fun and explore the city for opportunes. Really, we meet with other crews who have garages of their own. It's one giant street racing community. Sometimes, cops host events for premium parts that they and only they distribute. They are known as "tag" races, in which you must try to escape the cop before he "tags" you, or simply bumps you from behind." Thunder stated. "And the cops are really friendly towards street racers." Thunder added.

@, Rut-Light listened to Nitro as he hinted at who the precious Ferrari was for.  Then it hit him like a high-speed car crash as his eyes became saucers and that was the moment he realized that the FXX was for him.  Rut-Light then began to feel a bit woozy on his hooves but as he attempted to steady himself he suddenly collapsed onto the solid ground; his body and failed his stabilization and had gone limp as the news of the bright red, race-spec Ferrari being his.  Rut-Light looked up at Nitro and smiled the biggest grin that has been on his face in the past 3 years.  "Nitro...how the hell can I repay you for this blessing you have given me?"

"Ehh...you don't have to. Besides, that's what friends are for." Nitro stated as he took off his racing helmet to comb the back of his mane. He then looked at Rut. "Well...aren't you gonna start it up?" Nitro asked with a smile on his face. He then put his helmet back on.

@, "Man," Rut-Light stated to his friend as he stood himself up from the ground, "You know I can't resist the beautiful sound of a Ferrari..."  Then a random thought popped into his head, "I will start it up, if you can tell me this: what did I do to deserve this?  Yes, I love Ferrari's, but I mean; I have only been in this team for....five to six years?   I'm not saying I don't appreciate this, I'm just asking why?"

"Well...I didn't want you to go without a fast car. I know you've got that Raptor of yours, but it won't enough against these guys." Nitro stated as he waited for Rut to start the car.

 

Meanwhile Thunder had his Venom GT on the dyno. Thunder pushed the engine to high RPMs, which the sound reverberated all throughout the shop.

@,"...That makes sense.  Alright; here we go, get ready!"  Rut-Light said as he bolted for the car door, opening it, climbing inside before situating himself in the seat and looking over the buttons in the car.  Just looking at the fire red 'Engine Start' button on the steering wheel made his blood boil hot, and without a second thought, he stuck his hoof out and pressed it.  Like a roaring lion, the engine woke up with a start with sound that begged for him to give it a few hard revs; which Rut-Light gladly did, which elicited the wondrous sound of a 6.3 litre V12, no Supercharger, no Turbocharger, just pure V12 engine bliss.  Rut-Light rolls down the car windows and screams over the engine sound, "This is the best thing I've ever heard!"

"Glad you like it!" Nitro shouted over the loud V12 engine sound. "Let's get it to the dyno for a quick horsepower test." Nitro said loudly.

 

Meanwhile Thunder was getting his Venom GT off the dyno. It had clocked in at 1600hp, which was a new horsepower record for his car.

@,"Gladly."  Rut-Light said as he nodded his head and looked behind him before slowly backing and maneuvering the FXX near the Dyno machine, waiting for Thunder to remove his sweet looking Venom GT as it slithered off of the Dyno platform.  "Yo Thunder, how much Horsepower did that Venom of yours put out?"

"It cranked out 1600!" Thunder replied as he gunned the engine of his Venom and backed off the dyno. Thunder sort of accelerated fast off the dyno and continued to drive backwards into the shop. "Yeah, Thunder's been practicing his backwards driving." Nitro commented.

@,"I can tell...to be honest though, he is one of the biggest petrol head I have ever had the chance of meeting; besides you of course Nitro."  Rut-Light said as he backed his Ferrari up and onto the Dynamometer and held still as he waited for the car to be held down into place, "Hey Nitro, this may seem like a stupid question but since this beauty is Rear-wheel drive, and every bit of the power is on those wheels and tires; would that mean the back tires wear out easier or not?"

"The back tires are the first to wear on rear-wheel drive cars. That's why it is very important to have a compound tire that has great grip and boasts outstanding endurance. You want to minimize wheel-spin in these high-powered cars." Nitro stated as he secured Rut's FXX.

@,Rut-Light nodded his head as he heard the car safely be secured into place on the dyno, "You make a good point there, Nitro."  agreed the Ferrari enthusiastic street racer.   "Alright then, just tell me when to start and then we shall begin the testing."  Rut-Light said with barely contained excitement, first Ferrari he's drove in nearly a year (however long the original and this RP are apart in terms of time) and an FXX supercar no less, this is glorious.

Nitro reset the computer and made sure the dyno was calibrated for an MR vehicle (mid-engined rear-wheel drive). "You're good to go. Take it through the gears and mash it on the last gear. Don't go to high RPMs, as your pistons will get out of whack and you might blow the engine." Nitro warned.

@,"Understood, get ready; because this is going to be loud!" Rut-Light said as he revved the engine a few times before mashing the accelerator and immediately shifting into 1st and in what seemed like no time at all shifted into 2nd as the engine screamed begging to go higher; and Rut-Light happily obliged.  Shifting now into 3rd in no less than 100 milliseconds, the engine was going strong and it sounded like heaven...on steroids, waiting for the best opportunity to shift the time came and he shifted into 4th.......5th....and finally 6th at which point the engine roared like a dragon gone haywire as Rut-Light floored the engine until it hit 7,800 RPMs instead of the maximum 8,500 as he was abiding by Nitro's rules.  As the engine died down, the tension grew thick as Rut-Light leaned his head out of the window and smiled, "That was amazing!  How far did it go?"

"You hit 900hp. Two cooler turbos that fit between the catalytic converter would bump it up to an even 1000hp." Nitro explained as he examined the diagrams. "Boy, that stallion who had that FXX sure did some work to it, but it could always use more." Nitro thought to himself.

Dam zoned out to what Thunder Dash had just said to him, He shook his head and replied, "Huh... okay... Well, i might go out for a bit of a drive just to see what I can find, so just give me a call if there is any friendly races about to start or something." He then entered his supra, gave it a loud rev and took off into the streets.

"Kay...catch you later!" Thunder stated as he went back to work on fine-tuning his Venom GT. Meanwhile Nitro was still with Rut in the back working on the dyno. Thunder slightly increased the downforce and lowered his suspension by two inches. He then gunned the engine and left the shop for a test drive.

'Darn... That dude fricken flipped me bad... My AE86... atleast I still have my GT and my Supra...' Lightning Dash said while driving around Detrot. Then, he noticed a upgrades shop. 'Well, Supra is due for a upgrade... and my Ford GT needs nitros...' He added as he drives into the shop.

Nitro had gone out for a drive in his Egoista. He passed an upgrades shop where he saw a Ford GT. "Wow! Hardly ever see those anymore." Nitro stated as he pulled up to the upgrades shop and went inside to talk to the owner of the Ford GT. As he walked the isles, he found the latest direct port nitrous system. "Awesome, been meaning to replace that wet shot system I have in my Egoista." Nitro stated.

'Really? Back at Fillydelphea, there are ALOOOOT of Ford GTs! Oh and can you keep a secret? *whispers I have a Supra* I am just here to upgrade my GT and my Supra... Especifically my Ford GT... Im planning to install 2 nitros and a cooling system... And apparently just change the tires...' Lunar Dash responded. 'Oh and also have you seen the racing team that beat Grindspark? I really want to join them. But I think my GT dosent have enough HP to make the cut...' He added.

"You know...that leader of the racing team...he's standing right in front of you." Nitro stated as he waited for the pony to realize that he was the one who defeated Grindspark and freed the city of Detrot from the reign of terror.

 

Back at the shop, Thunder had adjusted the downforce on his Venom GT.

'W-WHAT?! ITS REALLY YOU?! ' Lunar Dash said in awe. 'Apparently my old team leader quitted street racing so I decided: "Hey! Why not try to get in that team who beated Grindspark! That would be awesome!" Soooooo..... Do you own this shop? I mean seriously. Its a honor to be in presence of such a epic pony!' He added.

"Yeah...I brought it when it was nearing foreclosure. The owner had run out of bits to pay it's rent, but with the money I got from Grindspark's hideout, I was able to pay the full price of the shop AND get a new car. It also enabled me to expand my hideout a little. The rest I donated to the factories and other stuff so Detrot could grow." Nitro stated.
