"That...must've been a bad...what's that thing?" Maya asked eying the thrown down book. Maya then looked back at her cake and began to eat it slowly. She cut small pieces and ate them one at a time, listening to Meadowlark's advice about eating and getting sick.

"It was a book on parenting, I got to a part where it was about punishment for naughty fillies and colts, and that if you are naughty I should smack you, which is basically hitting you on the bottom, but I could never do that to you, not even if you were naughty."

"That...that sounds mean..." Maya stated as she continued to eat her cake. "Why would somepony allow parents to hit their foals? It's not right..." Maya thought to herself as she continued to eat her cake with delight. Her leafponies watched as she slowly ate the cake.

"It does sound mean, doesn't it? But it's a way of 'teaching' foals right from wrong, but I could never hit you, not in this life time or the next. Not even if you were naughty, instead I would just sit you down and talk with you about why what you did was naughty and why you shouldn't do it again""

"Talking is much better than hitting." Maya stated as she continued to eat her cake. She was about one third of the way through the cake. Her belly had bloated a little bit. Maya poked it, which caused it to jiggle. She blushed at this and continued to eat her cake.

"My thoughts exactly, if you talk with a filly or a colt who has been naughty, they are more likely to listen and respect you, where as, smacking them may make them resent and hate you" Meadowlark nuzzles Maya, "not that I think you'd ever be naughty, you're too sweet and innocent to be naughty, not even by accident"

Maya blushed at this as she continued to eat her cake. She was at the halfway point. Her little belly was sticking out. "Mommy, can I have some water." Maya asked as she laid belly up and pushed the cake to the side so that Meadow could put it away for later times.

"certainly sweetheart" Meadowlark says as she puts the cake in the fridge and gets out a glass of water, then gives it to Maya. She smiles and thinks to herself, "My life is complete and perfect. Nothing, can ever make me feel different. I have a nice new house in the forest, a loving, caring and sweet little filly and I'm far away from all the judging of other ponies"

Maya poured the water on her belly, which was absorbed. "Mommy, look how big my belly is!" Maya said with a giggle and a blush. "Boy that cake was good, but I should listen to mommy about not eating too much or else I'll get sick." Maya thought to herself as she continued to giggle a little. Maya's leafponies came and snuggled next to her.

"You sure are growing up to be a big girl" Meadowlark says with a smile, she brings the blanket over to Maya and wraps it around her and the leafponies. She then sits down next to her and gently strokes her fur and mane. Picking up the stuffed animal and stuffed versions of herself and Maya, she places them under Maya's forelegs and kisses her on the forehead.

Maya snuggled with the stuffed animals and her leafponies. While sleeping however, the wicked sage managed to get a hold of her mind. "You little creep! You're my slave. That changeling isn't your mother. I am your commander. You shall obey all I say!" The sage said in her mind. "No!" Maya screamed suddenly waking up next to her leafponies who came closer to comfort her. She was breathing rather quickly.

Meadowlark heard Maya screaming and ran quickly to her aid, she immediately wraps a wing around her and snuggles her close to her heart, "shh, shh sweetheart, mummy's here. What got you so frightened? It's ok love you can tell mummy anything,, I'm here for you, I always will be"

"The-the-s-sage...I think...he-he's controlling...my...my...mind. He...he said that I was under his command and I had to obey h-him. He said you weren't my mommy...and...and..." Maya stated as tears started to well up in her eyes. She couldn't take it anymore, and just sobbed on Meadow's fur.

Meadowlark hugs Maya tightly to her chest, soothingly stroking her fur and mane. "Sweety, I want you to know, I may not have given birth to you, but I will always see you as my daughter, regardless of how you were born. We must find a way to free your mind from this sage's grasp, and I will be with you, always, I promise" She kisses Maya on the head, "you are my precious little filly, and i love you, you brighten up my life, and you are just so sweet."

Maya blushed and smiled. Meanwhile the sage was still monitoring Maya. "Grrr! That changeling is ruining my plan. If I want to get that pony back under my command, I'm gonna have to rid her of that stupid worthless changeling!" The sage stated. "That sage won't get the likes of me." Maya thought to herself as she embraced Meadowlark.

Meadowlark smiles and picks the plushies from the ground then gives them back to Maya to snuggle with, "Here you go love, I'll be right back" After she kisses Maya on the head again, she gets up and goes to the kitchen, returning with the rest of the cake, some fruit, a jug of water and a glass. "Hopefully this will help you my darling"

Maya tried to fall back asleep, but was awoken by the scent of her cake. She slowly waddled towards it, with her still distended belly. She then started to eat it again. Her leafponies were by her side, watching her. Maya continued to eat her cake. She then rolled herself belly up.

Meadowlark smiles at her, "Are you feeling better love? Remember, the sage can only gain control of your mind if you let him, we must find a way for you to defend against him and his attacks on your mind." She says, gently stroking Maya's fur before gently tickling her.

Maya giggled lightly and soon stopped. She continued to eat the rest of her cake while still laying belly up. Her belly was still distended and her leafponies were still by her side. If there was one thing that could combat the sage's curse, that would be joy and laughter.

Meadowlark smiled, "how about once you've rested a bit more and the cake has settled in your adorable little tummy, we go outside and play some more? It's a real beautiful day outside and it would be a shame to waste it being stuck inside, I'll play any game that you want to play."

"Okay mommy." Maya stated as she continued to eat her cake. She was now three quarters of the way through the cake. Her belly had gotten even bigger. She then pushed the cake aside for Meadow to cover and played with her rather round belly. Maya suddenly started to giggle a little.

Meadowlark kept smiling and nuzzled Maya, then put the rest of the cake away. She sits down next  to Maya and smiles, "I really do love you Maya, Never forget that, for if there is one thing that conquer anything, it is love." she gently strokes Maya's mane happily

Maya laughed a little more. "I love you too mommy." She stated booping Meadow lightly on the muzzle, followed by several giggles. Maya's leafponies were watching all of this, and so was that sage, who was infuriated. "Even if I have to kill that freak, I'm still getting that pony back." He stated.

Meadowlark smiles and boops Maya on the nose in return, then nuzzles her, "I'm so glad I met you Maya, I believe that it was destiny for us to meet. You brighten up my life, and you give me hope that the world isn't as cruel as I thought it was in the first place"

Maya blushed and smiled at this. "Oh, mommy, could you get me some water?" Maya asked. She hadn't gotten water since she started to eat her cake. Her belly was making soft noises as the food was digesting inside. Maya's leafponies were right next to her, snuggled.
