Maya continued to grasp and embrace Meadow tightly. She had to break the curse that the sage laid upon her when he made her. One of the potions he poured in was wrong. Maya didn't even hear the word "die" because she was so scared. Maya tried to calm down.

 

(OOC: One of the major goals of Maya is to rid the curse the sage put on her at birth, which was caused by one of the potions.)

Meadowlark hugged Maya even closer to her, she wasn't sure what else she could do but be there for her. She looks around and it looked like it was going to rain but she smiles, "normally I don't like getting wet, especially from the rain, but for you sweety, I am going to be here, no matter what. I can build a makeshift shelter until tomorrow, and you can sleep next to me, how does that sound dear?"

"O-okay mommy." Maya stated as she snuggled into Meadow's fur. She felt a drop of rain upon her fur. Maya was slowly drifting off to sleep as she cuddled into Maya. But suddenly, her stomach made a noise. She jolted up. "Wh-what was that?" She asked starting to quiver a little.

Meadowlark smiles and nuzzles her, "that's just your stomach telling you that you're hungry dear, when was the last time you ate? and what do you eat? If you can tell me what you eat, I can see if I can find something for you" She kisses her on the top of the head.

"I-I usually eat...grass and...fruit...that is if I find any..." Maya stated as stopped quivering and looked up at Meadow. She really wanted fruit and something that contained water, which is what would sustain her. She blushed when Meadow kissed her on the head.

"Then I shall get you some from my house, I need to get a few things from there anyway." She gets up, "Would you like to come with me, or stay here while I make an errand run to my house and back?" Meadowlark asks, snuggling and rocking Maya in her arms with a smile.

"I-I-I'll come with you." Maya stated as she struggled to get on Meadow's back. Because Meadow was so tall, she couldn't reach up. "M-mommy...I can't reach..." Maya stated trying to jump nearly falling on her rump. She soon got tired and waited for Meadow to pick her up.

"Aaaw come here dear" Meadowlark says scooping Maya up in her arms and placing her on her back. "ok darling, my house isn't that far from here." She starts walking and they soon get there, she sees a letter on her doorstep and opens it, a frown crosses her face and she sighs, "just as well as I'm moving in the forest with you" she says quietly

"What's that?" Maya asked pointing to the letter. She held on tightly to Meadow as Meadow was looking at the letter. She started to quiver again as Meadow looked at the letter.

Meadowlark sighs again, "It's an eviction notice, meaning I'm getting kicked out of my house, because.. well it's the stupidest reason. my landlord, that's the pony I pay to live in the house, he found out I'm a half-breed, you see dear, this is what I mean, some ponies just don't like half-breeds, but hey I'm living with you, so don't be sad, ok dear?"

"That's...that's terrible. Why would somepony be so mean?" Maya asked with tears in her eyes. She was empathizing with Meadowlark, for somehow, she knew that half-breeds didn't get all of the respect that purebreds do, which was not right to Maya. Tears continued to stream down her eyes.

Meadowlark took  Maya off of her back and hugs her tight, wiping her tears away. "Please don't be sad for me love, it's alright, I'm used to this kind of treatment." She kisses her on the head again, "come on sweety, let's go get you some food and water, and me some thing so I can make a shelter for us in the forest" she opens the door and waits for Maya to walk in first.

Maya looked at the tall house. She started to quiver again as she slowly entered. When she entered she stepped on a loose floorboard, which creaked. She quickly curled up and quivered more. "M-m-mommy...what was that?" Maya asked as she remained curled in a ball.

Meadowlark picked her up, "Oh that's just a loose floorboard, been meaning to get that fixed, don't worry about it sweety, it can't hurt you" she holds her close to her then carries to the kitchen, "what kind of fruits do you like dear?" She asks her, getting out a glass and filling it with water and gives it to her to drink

"Any fruit would do..." Maya stated as she studied the water. She then picked up the cup and drank. Because she was half plant, she poured the water on herself, which was absorbed in her body. "Mommy, can I have more water?" Maya asked as she waited for some fruit.

"Of course you can sweetheart" Meadowlark says as she  pours another glass for Maya then looks in the fridge, she gets out a few berries, an apple or two and a pear, she then gets some hay from the cupbards and puts them all in a bowl, "will this be enough for you love?" she asks with a smile

"Th-that's plenty." Maya stated as she poured the water on herself again. It was absorbed in her body again, which caused her to become a tiny bit more chubby. She then started to eat her fruits and hay. She continued to gobble down the fruits. She then looked down at her little round belly, and blushed. "M-m-mommy...why is my belly so round?" She asked.

"I don't know sweetheart, but maybe you eat and drink a lot, I cannot truly say because I don't know much about your other half of your breed, but I love you none the less" She nuzzles her, "will you be alright here while I go and get my things, I won't be long, I promise"

"I-Wh-where are you going?" Maya asked as she continued to eat her fruits. She didn't want Meadow to leave her. She started to quiver lightly. She then began to have thoughts of that sage, the one who created her and still has control over her. She didn't want to be left, or else the sage and find and foalnap her.

"I'm just going into the next room  to get a few things, ok dear" She sees Maya quivering again, "alright dear, I'll wait until you are done and you can come with me, maybe you can help me carry things, there isn't much and I won't give you anything heavy to carry, I can do that myself"

"O-okay..." Maya stated as she finished eating her fruits. Her belly had grown a bit. She tried to get up, but stumbled because of her belly and how much she ate. "Mommy, I can't seem to stay up...why is it hard for me to..whoa...stay up?" Maya asked trying to keep her balance.

"I don't know dear, maybe I gave you a bit too much to eat." Meadowlark says, doing her best to help  Maya to stay up. "We will wait until you can walk again, ok dear" Meadowlark sits down and looks around her house wistfully, then sigh a little as tears start forming in her eyes

"Wh-why are you crying mommy?" Maya asked looking up at Meadow as tears streamed down her face. She then heard strange sound coming from her stomach, she started to quiver again. She could feel something moving inside her. "M-mommy, I-I feel something...inside me...what-what's happening?" Maya asked as she quivered.

"I-..." Meadowlark didn't want Maya to worry about her but it was too late, "I thought I was finally fitting in here in this town, and I had only just gotten settled down here in this house, but no, it was the opposite, I don't know how the landlord found out about me being half-breed." She sighs, she sees Maya quivering again, "I can't say love, if I knew more about what sort of plant you came from and what potions were poured onto it, I may be able to but I can't, I'm sorry"

Maya continued to feel the food move inside of her, as it was absorbed in her body. She felt herself growing a bit. "He's mean..." Maya stated as she continued to quiver. She was worried that Meadowlark wouldn't have a home, and the forest would just be too dangerous.
