Maya embraced Meadow tightly. She could still feel some things happening inside of her. "I-think I'm...growing..." Maya said to herself, but loud enough for Meadow to hear.

 

(Since she's half plant, Maya has growth spurts after she eats a lot. It's normal for a healthy pony plant hybrid)

Meadowlark hugs her close, "Well, seeing as you are half plant, I would say that it's a good thing then. I know a bit about plants and when a plant has had enough water, fertilizer and sunlight, they have growth spurts. So I wouldn't worry too much about it ok love." She gets up and nuzzles Maya, "ready to help mummy move to the forest?"

"O-okay..." Maya stated as she uncoiled and went to help Meadow with her things. She followed behind Meadowlark, as they went over to get Meadow's stuff. Even though Maya was half-plant, she still was able to get a cutie mark, like any other pony. Little did she know she would discover her talent soon.

Meadowlark smiled as she gathered her things, a few blankets,  some books, her pillows, the tools she would need to make the shelter and a few other things. She takes a look around her room again and notices Maya eyeing a little stuffed animal that is laying on Meadowlark's bed. She smiles, "Would you like this?" She asks Maya and Maya nods. Meadowlark picks it up and snuggles it, "then it is yours sweetheart, I had her since I was a little foal, even younger than you, but I trust her with you." she says as she gives the stuffed animal to Maya and nuzzles her.

Maya really didn't know what to do with the stuffed animal. She just held it with a clueless look on her face. "M-mommy...what am I supposed to do with this?" She asked as she just held it in her hooves just looking at it. She then put it down close to some things she would carry.

Meadowlark smiled, picked it up and snuggled it, "Just that darling, that is all you need to do with it, is snuggle it. Do you remember how I've been hugging and snuggling you whenever you've been scared or frightened? Well there will be times when I won't be here, as in when I go shopping, or need to look for or do something. But I promise to be with you as much as possible." She nuzzles into Maya before giving her the stuffed animal back. "The stuffed animal will help during the times I am not there"

Maya held the stuffed animal tightly as she looked at Meadowlark packing her things. "Mommy, what can I carry?" Maya asked after she snuggled the little stuffed animal for a little while. She then put it on top of a bag and tried to lift a little case and put it on her back.

Meadowlark thinks for a moment, the sound of Maya's cute little voice always made her smile and the fact she is calling her mummy, made her smile even bigger, "Just carry what ever you don't think will break if you accidentally break it, and as much as you think you can carry without hurting yourself, ok sweetheart?"

Maya put down the little case, once she figured out it was too heavy. She found a smaller case and put the stuffed animal on top of it. She then went to the door and waited for Meadow. She put the stuff down and laid on the floor, for carrying the stuffed tuckered her out a little.

Meadowlark finishes packing her things and picks up the small case that Maya couldn't carry and walks over to the door. "aaw you are just so adorable" She says as she nuzzles Maya and kisses her on the head again, "come on precious, let's get going." She waits for Maya to walk out first, and then follows her. She finds a rater large rock, and sizes it up, she picks it up and is about to throw it at the front window, then sighs and drops it.

"Don't be angry mommy...at least you still have...me." Maya stated as she walked out the door comforting Meadowlark, who Maya knew was upset about having to leave her home in Ponyville. "How could that landlord treat her like that. It isn't fair!" She thought to herself. She kept a tear back.

 Meadowlark smiled and hugged Maya tightly, not letting go of her, "I know love, I'm sorry, I'm just.." She kisses her on the cheek and strokes her mane gently, "I do have you Maya, and that is all I need. I love you Maya, and I just know you will grow up to be a very sweet, kind and caring mare." She turns Maya around and sees the tears forming in her eyes and wipes them away, "come on sweety, lets go home."

Maya lead the way back to the forest. Maya kept on going until she arrived back at her place of birth. She could see a fruit orchard in the distance. "Mommy, I see a bunch of fruits over there...maybe...we could use that...as food while we live here..." Maya stated as she put her stuff down.

Meadowlark looks over, "Dear, do you know if anypony lives nearby and/or owns the orchard? Because if that is somepony's property, we cannot just take it without asking, that would be stealing, and that is very wrong, it is a nice thought though, I'll go see if it is somepony's property." She nuzzles Maya and walks off towards the plantation

"St-stealing...what's stealing, and what's pro-per-ty?" Maya asked trying to pronounce the word. She was very naive for a 5 year old, and needed to be taught just about everything there is in life. She really wanted those fruits but heard what Meadowlark said.

Before walking off, Meadowlark hugged Maya again, "I see I've got a lot to teach you, Well you see all these things that we brought from that dark, dismal place that used to be my house?" She asks pointing to the things they had brought with them, "well property is something that belongs to a pony, all of this stuff, it belongs to us, meaning it is our property, and with stealing, well it is taking something that belongs to somepony else without asking." She kisses her on the cheek and walks off towards the plantation.

 

She looks around, "hmm, doesn't seem that they belong to anypony, I don't see any markings, and there seem to be a bit of rotten fruit too, if this belonged to somepony they would have picked it all by now" she thinks to herself and looks around for any sort of dwelling or somepony working the fields, "hmm no pony is around, and no houses or huts around at all, guess this is a natural orchard then, fair game." she picks a fair amount of fruit and carries it back to Maya with a big smile on her face.

"Thanks Mommy." Maya stated as she began to eat some of the fruit She then took some of the fruit, hopped in her flowerbed and continued to munch on the fruit. After a while, she stopped eating, for her little belly was round again. "Mommy, could you give me some water?" Maya asked.

"You're welcome sweety, and of course you can love," Meadowlark says nuzzling her little filly, "I love you" She says, taking a large bowl and goes looking for a lake, she finds one and after testing the water to see if it was drinkable, she fills the bowl up and carries it back to Maya, "here you go love, only the best for my little darling angel"

Maya poured the water on herself, which was absorbed in her body. This caused her belly to protrude a little more. She sort of blushed in embarassment at this since, she's never seen her belly that big before. She then laid belly-up on her flowerbed and patted her belly.

Meadowlark smiles and walks over to her and nuzzles her, "no matter how big your belly grows love, you will always be adorable and cute to me, and my little angel of a daughter" she nuzzles her again then gently uses a hoof to tickle Maya on her belly with a smile.

Maya giggled at this, for the first time ever, she laughed. "Mommy!" She pleaded as she continued to laugh, giggle and flail her little limbs. She completely forgot about the sage, and the curse. Somehow, she knew that love, laughter and a hidden ability, which she'll soon discover could break the curse.

Meadowlark laughs lightly and continues to gently tickle Maya's belly, she then leans down and starts blowing raspberries on her belly. That giggle of Maya's was just so adorable. "don't worry love, what you are feeling is happiness and joy. It is a good thing"

Maya continued to giggle, laugh and flail her limbs. She'd never felt this happy in her life. When Meadow blew on her belly, she laughed harder and louder. "Mommy!" She pleaded as she continued to flail her limbs, making sure to not accidentally whack Meadow in the face.

Meadowlark continues to blow raspberries for a little while longer then stops. She scoops Maya up in her arms and snuggles her close to her heart. "do you hear and feel that love? It's my heart, and it's beating for you, the most adorable, sweet, kind, beautiful and cute little filly there is, Meeting you was a blessing and a miracle. I love you with all my heart, mind, soul, and body."
