There are Changelings amoung us... But who?

 

A peaceful town aways from Canterlot. Never big ever happens in this town. It's barely even on the map. Well something is about happen to this small town nopony expected. This town has become the first target for a new Changeling invasion. Blood will be shed but will it be Changeling or pony? Who will get the noose and who will escape? Will the town turn on itself or will it find the enemy and get rid of them? Who will you trust and distrust? Will I stop asking questions and get on with it? Probebly but who can be sure?

 

Objectives: 

Pony: Find out Changelings are even in town. Find the fakes and get rid of them one way or another.

Your biggest asset is the sherriff. He is much better at picking out fakes and can win a one on one fight with a Changeling. (I will play as the sherriff as he will be a target of the Changelings and will most likely die soon)

 

Changeling: Cause the town to go into chaos (easy way) or killing off most of the population (Hard way)

If the Changelings think of anything else that would mean victory PM me and I will say Ya or Na to it.

 

Atlas arrived in the town at about nine in the morning. The air was clean and it was sunny. but not all was right. He felt a sence come over him. Somehting was amiss. He shook of the feeling and dismissed it as parania. He was starving. Atlas flewright into the town diner and sat down in front of the counter.

"Eggs and milk please" 

(That was the weakest start I have ever done on a RP... I'm not good at being the first post!

Also you can pick out your job now. Farmer, clerk, mayor, traveler your pick)

Sapphire sat there, sighing as he hoed the ground "Gahhh, I wish there was something intoresting" Her mom called to him "Sapphire milk from the town!" He sighed and grabbed his sword then trotted into town "Hmmm...Something is wierd...What ever" He smiled as he walked forward

Night Comb flipped through his book as he waited for someone to come into the corner store. He finished the last page and sighed. 'Slow day...' He mumbled as he tried to amuse himself. Things had been weird lately. Slower and odd. He sat down on a small chair and started his book again tiredly.

Being the mayor of a town was hard stuff, always having to accommodate the people, putting their needs in front of yours at all costs. Rye really didn't have any time to do what he really wanted, which was partying! But his mayor duties came first above all, "Seriously another complaint about changelings?, honestly this people must be seeing things, there are no changelings for miles!" Over the past week Rye had gotten several complaints about sightings of changelings, Rye new this couldn't be true but what choice did he have? He had to reassure the people they were safe so he put more guards on duty every night.

Sapphire got distracted by a near by store "Hmmmm, why not, i have time" She wonderd in, looking around, there was no other ponys on the streets, strange, "Uh...Hello?" She picked up a book on the side and her eyes grew huge "OHMYGOSH! THIS IS THE LAST BOOK! DAHUIFAHI" She ran to the counter and looked at the book

Lightning flicker arrives in town having just traveled to canterlot for a meet up with some old friends. he plonks all hooves on the ground and looks around. He starts to question his sense of direction "I... am pretty bloody lost." He says to himself. "I should probably go get directions back to ponyville" he mermers under his breath.

Short circuit had decided to get something for breakfast at the towns diner. Hopefully it would keep his mind off other things, like bills...and his power bill. He sat at a counter a few chairs down from atlas and calmly waited before asking the waitress for a bottle of applejack Daniels and some eggs with toast. The whiskey wasn't a best choice for the morning, but then again he was stressed. It did cost him for the bottle, but he had the bits.

 

Once served he a fork and slowly ate. And popping the top off the bottle and taking sips from the hard liquor.

Night Comb flipped through his book as he finished chapter 2 he sighed as he heard the store bell clink and hoof steps.

 

Night Comb heard a voice and saw a pony holding a book. 'Oh. Hey. That'll be 4 bits of you want to buy it. Just leave 'em here and take it.' He said disinterestedly. He turned back to his book as the pony looked over the book.

Sapphire stared at night "4...4 Bits? Dang...thats cheap! Heh, thanks!" She dumped a few bits on the desk and smiled, she sat down right there and started reading, she then looked up "Slow day? It seemes strange...I feel like something has happend, nopony is out side at all"

'Yeah. Slow and boring. I've finished this book already. I'm outta stuff to do.' Night Comb said as he rocked in his chair. He slipped the four bits into the register and recorded it on his small piece of paper. He sat back down and sighed. 'Everyones really jumpy.' He said.

*squeak squeak squeak* being stuck at the office sincerely sucked, only thing Rye really had to look forward too was that his chair could swivel, amazingly enough this kept him entertained throughout the night. "I'm so bored!" Rye slumped his head on his desk, he really didn't have anything to do so why not go out for a bit? Rye got up and walked out the office to a local convenient store. He went up to the front desk, "Night Comb, God damn it! I'm sick and tried of you not having any sparkle cola! That's it your store is closed!" The store owner looked baffled "Hahaha! Got ya didn't I? Anyway you are almost out of sparkle cola back there though, so the thing is I have tonight off, and you know I wanna party, do you know any parties around right now?" Rye asked while looking at the store clerk @Delernil

"Yep, word around is theres changlings or something...I dont beleave it, but it does seem strange....Now that i think aobut it.." She stuck her head over the book "How do i know you arnt one?" She raised her eyebrow then slunk behind her book "Eh...Sorry, i know your not"

Night Comb gave a confused look when the mayor declared his store closed then smirked. 'Damn it, I swear I'll get confused when you actually close me down. Anyway, we have a new shipment coming in tomorrow from Canterlot. Don't know any parties, everyone's too jumpy around here.' Night Comb said.

 

Night comb chuckled at the pony's question. 'Im definitely not a Changling. I don't trust anyone anyways.'

Renatus slowly walked though the town's streets, quietly gazing at the stalls and buildings as he walked. He moved at a normal pace, though he was slowly starving to death. Since the Battle of Canterlot, he had been cut off from the rest of the hive and had been forced to hide under the disguise of a white unicorn with the brown mane as he tried to make his way back to the hive. Though he knew he only had enough energy to hold the disguise for another two days before his magic ran out and it was four days travel to the nearest town. He forced him to calmly scan the street as he searched for his next meal. Stopping in front of a book store, he decided to try his luck as he walked in and began looking for any kind of posters for a public event.

Sapphire looked at the pony that had walked in "Hello" She then looked back at the book, wondering about the pony that had walked in "I havnt seen you around, whats your name? Also, do you like to read books? Because...Ah, never mind" She looked around happaly

lightning flicker stumbled into the book store and walked nervously up to the counter. "mmm, 'ello, sorry, hope I'm not bothering you it's just, I'm a tad lost and could reeeally use some directions" he smiled awkwardly. there was and awkward silence between the 3 ponies as LF started to feel a bit more awkward. "... Oh, I didn't tell you where I wanted to go! Ponyville. Please tell me you've heard of it?" and smiled awkwardly again.

Rye dropped for 5 bits on the table and grabbed a bottle of Sparkle Cola, "Eyyyy, don't worry you are not getting closed down anytime soon, this town needs you Night Comb, otherwise where so we get our snacks?, Nonetheless we have got to have a party around here I mean like seriously this town is so dull ever since the complaints of changelings keep rolling in. I mean honestly you don't believe changelings are here do you?"

Night Comb gave the pony at the counter a map of Equestrian with a small X on the towns location before swatting him off. He turned to the mayor.

 

'Yeah, I guess I'm the reason this town is alive. Haven't gotten my reward...' He chuckled before answering the other question. 'I really can't tell if anyone's a changeling. I see a lot of people in here. Haven't noticed anything off I guess, but I rarely talk to them.'

"Cool, It would be really cool to meet one..You could get it to change into one of us!" She giggled and slowly got up while still reading the book "Well, I think i might..." She stood there with her mouth slitly open "Wait...They kill him? NOOOOOO!" She sighed and turned to the other ponys

"You'll get your reward soon enough, we're all struggling to get by...... Just kidding no we're not as far as I'm concerned this little towns doing awesome for itself, oh sure you can't tell if they're changling by looking at them, but you can tell by the way they act, see they don't converse with other ponys they converse with changling a which is probably different. Anyway I should get back to my mayor duties.... Pain in my arse you know what I'm saying" Rye raised an eyebrow at the store clerk, "I'll see you around Night Comb" with that Rye trotted balk to his office.

Atlas walked out of the diner now full on breakfast. (I just can't write today...) the roads were strangly empty... Everypony must be out in the fields. He flew down the road for someting to do. He was tired and didn't really want to keep going. He would spend the day here and leave in the morning.  A store caught his attention. The flew in and came to a graceful landing at the door. He immedatly walked to a section with adventure books. (Well why don't we all go in?)

"Let's see... No. No. No. No. Ah!" He pluked a Daring Do book from the shelf. It was one of the few he hadn't read. It was written right after he ran into the pony. He was still shoked she was even alive. Atlas wondered why he even liked the books. He had lived many adventures of this type himself. He walked up to the counter to see a large gathering of ponies. Weird. 

"I wondered where everypony in town was. I was starting to think this whole place was emtpy"

Lightning flicker then walked out of the book store cause he saw that the ponies were obviously having a conversation related to the town that wasn't any of his business. However, he did hear the word "changelings" and was now on edge. He scanned the town real quick before getting ready to fly off, but then realized it was quite dark. He then decided to walk back into the book shop but hang round like he was looking at a book before asking where a hotel was.

'Yeah, see ya.' Night Comb said as he kept reading his book, oblivious to the others actions. He sighed as he put it down and remembered the entire book. 'Damn. Anything interesting around here, anyway?' He mumbled as he slipped the book away and lay down on the counter. Staying up all night meant most of his time was spent sleeping, which wasn't a problem. Most ponies knew just to drop the bits and take what they wanted.

During his time undercover in Canterlot, he had grown fond of books and reading in general, often spending his free time reading in a cafe. Though his pleasant memories were interrupted when he heard the another pony and who he presumed to the store owner beginning to talk about Changelings. Though his expression didn't change as he asked, " Though why did you want to know?"
