The Trotting Dead

"What?" He asked. He turned and saw the terribe scene. He raged.

"Don't..........Touch...........HER!" He yelled.

Fullbright looked over to him.

"Well,well,well. I knew you'd come back for her. And it looks like you even found a mare friend." He said.

"Daddy!" Forestfie said.

"Shutup!" Fullbright said. 

Ace was about to charge at him, but Kenzie held him back.

"Get you hooves OFF my daughter!" He yelled.

He broke from Kenzie's grasp and tackled Fullbright Pinning him to the ground with his sword pinned against his kneck.

"You decieved our family.....spat on our mother's grave.....left our father to die....and tried to kill my daughter! You have no more chances left!" Ace said about to slit his brother's throat.

Fulbright smiled a devilish grin.

"you won't kill me infront of them. Your too WEAK!"

Ace slit his throat and got off of him.

"Like I said....out of chances." He turned back to Kenzie and ForestFire. He ran over, picked her up and held her in a hug.

"Forest....I was so worried." He said with tears in his eyes.

She hugged him tightly and burried her face in his shoulder crying.

Ace looked to kenzie and mouthed the words,

'Thank you.'

Kenzie smiled and nodded leaving the tent for a private family time. She set out to find rue and shadow. She heard cans move from behond her. She turned around and looked if there was anypony... None. She continued walking. Then something out of nowhere tackled her to the ground with a knife pointed at her. She screamed, "ACE HELP!"

Kenzie smiled and nodded leaving the tent for a private family time. She set out to find rue and shadow. She heard cans move from behond her. She turned around and looked if there was anypony... None. She continued walking. Then something out of nowhere tackled her to the ground with a knife pointed at her. She screamed, "ACE HELP!"

Ace heard her screams and told Forest fire to hide. He walked out and saw her tackled with a knife to her throat. He raged. His amulet lightly glowed as his eyes changed to bright red. he charged at the pony with his sword. The pony looked behind him, but it was to late for him and in three swipes, the pony was no more. Ace panted and turned around and dropped the sword. He ran over to her and helped her up.

"Are you alright?" He asked with deep concern.

Ace heard her screams and told Forest fire to hide. He walked out and saw her tackled with a knife to her throat. He raged. His amulet lightly glowed as his eyes changed to bright red. he charged at the pony with his sword. The pony looked behind him, but it was to late for him and in three swipes, the pony was no more. Ace panted and turned around and dropped the sword. He ran over to her and helped her up.

Kenzie stared at him in shock "oh my celestia... YOUR PENDANT- but... Power- uhm thanks..." Kenzie blushed a bit in the end. "How's forest fire?" She asked him. She saw the filly peeking out from a column. She looked at the unconscious pony laying beside her. Awesome pendant mehn!

Kenzie stared at him in shock "oh my celestia... YOUR PENDANT- but... Power- uhm thanks..." Kenzie blushed a bit in the end. "How's forest fire?" She asked him. She saw the filly peeking out from a column. She looked at the unconscious pony laying beside her. Awesome pendant mehn!

"I'm glad your ok." He said before hugging her. His amulet stopped glowing. Forest fire walked over and joined the hug. 

"I'm glad your both alright......." He said hugging them tightly.

He let go and remembered they were still in danger.

"C'mon. We have to find Shadow and Rye."

Kenzie was blushing from the hug. She was hating her flaming cheeks at the moment. She walked alongside ace and forest fire. Forest fore seemed to be a sweet little filly. Its sad hat she has to grow up in this kind of environment... Horrible. "Where do you think those two went?"

"I'm not sure, but stay close, we may out number them now but it's Mintwhisper you have to watch out for. He'll kill you in an instant.

He looked at Forestfire.

"You listen to everything me and Kenzie tell you, If we tell you to run, you run If we tell you to hide, hide. If I tell you to go with Kenzie then go with her." He said.

"Ok." She replied.

He looked at Kenzie,her still blushing, and said in a hushed tone so Forest couldn't hear,

"During our trip...at any time not just today, anytime in the future, something happens to me...take care of Forest for me....please."

"Yeah, yeah I did" Rye turned a bit to point his battle saddle down the hall, he pulled out a flashlight and set it on the ground. Turning it on the toon lit up and showing the contents of the hallway as well. Rye had to close his eyes not to throw up, bodies, bodies everywhere torn apart bleed everywhere including the walls. Bodies of pony's stripped of their skin and some muscle tissue, the stench was horrendous. But where was the moaning coming from? He inched a little bit closer, some of those mutilated bodies were moving, he turned the flashlight off and silently tried to signal Shadow Dust to move back slowly, if they didn't see us yet then we'll be ok.

One the worst things Shadow Dust was bad at was NOT panicking. There were at least 50, maybe even more bodies that they just couldn't see. She moved back slowly with Rye. Making sure nothing there was nothing behind them because whenever something like this happens there's always something on the floor to step on

Rye was paying attention to where he was stepping, but there was a loud crash that came out of nowhere, at the end of the hallway. The moaning stopped with all eyes on Shadow and Rye, Rye was sweating profusely, they started to get up, "RUN!" Rye yelled, the trotters got up and started trotting, Shadow and Rye we're running down the hallway, sounds from Ryes battle saddle rang through the walls, trotters were falling down but more just kept coming.

Rye yelled, the trotters got up and started trotting, Shadow and Rye we're running down the hallway, sounds from Ryes battle saddle rang through the walls, trotters were falling down but more just kept coming.

Ace heard the sounds of shots being fired.

"C'mon! It's probably Rye and Shadow!" He yellad as he put ForestFire on his back and started running to go help them. He made sure that he had his gun and sword out and ready to go, just in case. He ran down the hall until he ran into Shadow.

"Are you guys ok?"

"Rye how are you holdin up?!" He yelled and looked back. He saw Rye was almost caught by the trotters. He grabbed his gernade out of his saddlebag and yelled,

"EVERYPONY RUN!!!" Before pulling the pin and throwing it. It laned in a trotter's mouth and exsploded with a loud bang. Ace and forestfire were thrown forward.

"Damn it!" Rye had to think quick, the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few, "Meet me outside of the castle!!" Rye yelled across the hall, "Come on Trotters!" He kept shooting in there direction and soon all the Trotters wee running after Rye alone, they could here faint gun shots coming from the direction he ran from.

All the zombies started chasing after rye after all those gunshots he fired. Shadow wondered If she had some to get both of them out.

She helped ForestFire out. "Let's get your dad out". Shadow studied the thing on Ace. "Ok ForestFire pull your dad out while I try to get the thing that's cutting him off of him.

All the zombies started chasing after rye after all those gunshots he fired. Shadow wondered If she had some to get both of them out.

She helped ForestFire out. "Let's get your dad out". Shadow studied the thing on Ace. "Ok ForestFire pull your dad out while I try to get the thing that's cutting him off of him.

Forest nodded and was lifting things off of Ace. SHe stared to pull him out. Ace was careful to try and not move his bleeding hoof.

"Oww...." He said grunting in pain. "Gah.."  He said. Forest came over and tried to help pry thr thing off her dad's hoof.

"Will he be ok?" She asked Shadow.

"I'm pretty sure". She said as they got the thing off of Ace's hoof. We need to get out quick. "Ace are you ok to walk?"

If he wasn't ok then Her and forestfire would have to carry him out of the castle. "wait wheres Kenzie?" Shadow Said.

"I just need to cover it up." he said wrapping it in the badage that was origanly on his leg. He tried to trot away with them, but had to walk or it hurt to much.

"Kenzie? Kenzie where are you!?"

Rye was running as fast as his legs would let him, the trotters were almost on top of him now but he didn't have the option to stop he had to keep going or he would turn into one of Those things and that was the one thing Rye was afraid of, turning into a mindless beast that ate his friends and others he may not know.

Kenzie swooped down out of nowhere shooting the trotters with a gun she found awhile ago. When all the trotters are dead she landed next to ace and gasped when she saw the cut. "Oh my celestia..." She grabbed a bandage roll and fixed him up. "You should really sto hurting yourself" she said laughing

Kenzie swooped down out of nowhere shooting the trotters with a gun she found awhile ago. When all the trotters are dead she landed next to ace and gasped when she saw the cut. "Oh my celestia..." She grabbed a bandage roll and fixed him up. "You should really sto hurting yourself" she said laughing

"Yeah....he he....AH!" He said as she badaged it up.

"That hurts." He said in pain. He tried not to move his hoof while she bandaged it. It took a lot of self control to not howl in pain like a foal, but he held himself together for her. Each time it felt like a million stinging bees on his hoof.

" Kenzie take Ace outside of the castle, Rye said he'll meet us. While you take him I'll find Rye. There was a awful lot of trotters chasing after him." Shadow heard some moaning and shooting coming from the east part of the castle. She started running towards the sounds of gunshots.

"I wanna help!" ForestFire said.
"Honey you can help by staying with us and not getting hurt. I lost you once, I'm not loosing you again." Ace said.
"But daddy I-" 
"No buts! I want you safe and the only way I can do that is keeping an eye on you." He said.
"Ok...." She said dissapointed. She looked to Kenzie trying to help Ace walk outside.
"So are you my mommy now?" She asked. "Because if you are,please don't leave like my old mommy. Daddy was sad for a long time."
Ace was majorly blushing now. 
"That's enough Forest." "You don't have to answer her if you don't want to." He told Kenzie quietly.

Shadow stood on the second floor of the castle. She saw some broken down stairs near her and Rye was heading towards her with a load of trotters. She got an idea. She searched for a rope in her bag. Finally she found some. Since the stairs are broken I'll pull him up with a rope. " Rye when you get here, quickly grab this rope!" Yelled Shadow Dust.
