"Honey you can help by staying with us and not getting hurt. I lost you once, I'm not loosing you again." Ace said.

"But daddy I-"

"No buts! I want you safe and the only way I can do that is keeping an eye on you." He said.

"Ok...." She said dissapointed. She looked to Kenzie trying to help Ace walk outside.

"So are you my mommy now?" She asked. "Because if you are,please don't leave like my old mommy. Daddy was sad for a long time."

Ace was majorly blushing now.

"That's enough Forest." "You don't have to answer her if you don't want to." He told Kenzie quietly.

Kenzie blushed and looked at the tiny filly in front of her. She looked at ace "its okay" she turned to forest fire "im not your mother..." The fillys eyes saddened. Kenzie smiled "but i would love be your mom." ace was blushing like mad and staring at her. Creepy

Ace stared at her in awe and disbelief. When he realized what he was doing he quickly looked away,

"I-I'm sorry." He said. He tried not to make eye contact because he didn't want to freak her out again.

"But you didn't answer me!" Forest said to Kenzie.

"But you didn't answer me!" Forest said to Kenzie.

Kenzie blinked, "Uh, er... Forest Fire okay.. Um.. Listen. I'm not your mommy. Okay?" FF (forest fire)'s eyes saddened. Kenzie chuckled, "But like I've said before. I'd love too." FF was about to say something before being interrupted by gunfire. Kenzie turned to the group, "RUN!" Just then she felt an exploding pain on her side. She gasped and started breathing heavily. SHe looked down to see a bleeding bullet wound. She started at Ace with tears falling down her cheeks before blacking out.

Kenzie blinked, "Uh, er... Forest Fire okay.. Um.. Listen. I'm not your mommy. Okay?" FF (forest fire)'s eyes saddened. Kenzie chuckled, "But like I've said before. I'd love too." FF was about to say something before being interrupted by gunfire. Kenzie turned to the group, "RUN!" Just then she felt an exploding pain on her side. She gasped and started breathing heavily. SHe looked down to see a bleeding bullet wound. She started at Ace with tears falling down her cheeks before blacking out.

"KENZIE NO!!!" He yelled. He forgot about the pain and ran over. I looked bad. He got a roll of bandage tape out and wraped up the wound. He applied pressure to avoid blood loss.

"Kenzie please stay with me......c'mon....don't leave...." A bullet flew past him and he picked Kenzie up and started running.towards the Princesses quarters. the only place that can be locked from the inside. He ran in and shut and locked the door. He layed Kenzie on the bed and held pressure against the wound.

"Please....Kenzie wake up......" He said with tears in his eyes.

Kenzie woke up with the sun glaring in her eyes... WAIT THE SUN?! They were somewhere in the throne room... She sat up and looked at her surroundings. WHAT?! She was in a field. Grass.... grass.... lake... flowers.... grass... grass... Princess Celestia... tree... tree... wait...

"Princess Celestia!" Kenzie shouted flying over to her.

Princess Celestia smiled, "Hello Mackenzie Bolt. How are you today?"

Kenzie shrugged, "Okay i guess.... Except for the fact i dont know where I am."

Celestia chuckled, "You havent figured it out huh?"

Realization hit Kenzie, "IM DEAD?!"

Celestia shook her head, "No you're not. You have a choice though. You can be free from all the trotters and live here in Pony Heaven or go back down there."

Kenzie blinked, "Uhm can I ask a question? Where are you and the other princesses?"

Celestia smiled, "I cannot tell you. But only when you truly need us."

Kenzie smiled "Oh okay. Answering your question... I cant really decide... Can I um stay here before I made my decision?" Celestia nodded, "Sure take your time... but not too much... Otherwise they'll leave you behind."

Kenzie looked at her confused. "Who will."

Celestia created a projector-ish screen in front of them. Ace was crying next to her body which was on a bed. "Them."

Kenzie gulped down a lump in her throat. "I see..."

Kenzie shrugged, "Okay i guess.... Except for the fact i dont know where I am."

Celestia chuckled, "You havent figured it out huh?"

Realization hit Kenzie, "IM DEAD?!"

Celestia shook her head, "No you're not. You have a choice though. You can be free from all the trotters and live here in Pony Heaven or go back down there."

Kenzie blinked, "Uhm can I ask a question? Where are you and the other princesses?"

Celestia smiled, "I cannot tell you. But only when you truly need us."

Kenzie smiled "Oh okay. Answering your question... I cant really decide... Can I um stay here before I made my decision?" Celestia nodded, "Sure take your time... but not too much... Otherwise they'll leave you behind."

Kenzie looked at her confused. "Who will."

Celestia created a projector-ish screen in front of them. Ace was crying next to her body which was on a bed. "Them."

Kenzie gulped down a lump in her throat. "I see..."

"I-It's all my fualt.......I-I-I couldn't protect her........It's all my fualt....." Ace cried. He sat there crying his eyes out next to her. He had not cried like this ever since his wife left at the same time his mother died. 

"I-I'm so sorry K-kenzie........I-I-..." He cried more. He didn't know that she could see and hear everything that was going on. 

"I-I...." He said. He could barely choke out words now. He just contined crying.

"I-It's all my fualt.......I-I-I couldn't protect her........It's all my fualt....." Ace cried. He sat there crying his eyes out next to her. He had not cried like this ever since his wife left at the same time his mother died.

Princess Celestia left a few minutes ago leaving Kenzie to watch as Ace cried. She felt bad for him. Sure, pony heaven sounded like a good idea but she cant bear watching Ace cry. After his wife left him... Yeah.. She sighed and started to sing a lullaby hoping it would reach him and comfort him.

She blinked away a tears that was threatening to fall. Should she go back?

Princess Celestia left a few minutes ago leaving Kenzie to watch as Ace cried. She felt bad for him. Sure, pony heaven sounded like a good idea but she cant bear watching Ace cry. After his wife left him... Yeah.. She sighed and started to sing a lullaby hoping it would reach him and comfort him.

Ace heard a quiet lullaby being sung in the back of his mind, barely audible, but there. Hearing her voice made him sadder. He thought his brain was playing tricks on him, making him hear things . He cried as he listen t the song. It was beautiful. But he thought it was his brains way of saying goodbye. He didn't want to let her go. He sat there next to her, listening to the lullaby and looking at Kenzie.  Tears still ran down his cheeks and sobs escaped from him. ForestFire was crying as well. She hated seeing her dad sad, and that Kenzie was hurt.

Luna turned to her, "But you like him?"

 

Kenzie blushed making Luna laugh. Luna cleared her throat, "Okay okay. I'm giving you this moment to go back. You know what happens when you say no right?"

 

Kenzie nodded. Luna smiled, "Okay. So... Whats your decision."

ForestFire hugged her. 

"She c-can't be......can she?" Forest asked sadly.

Ace didn't want to accept it. It hurt him so much to see her lying there motionless and probably lifeless. But he had to accept it. He had to take care of Forest. He had to think of what was best for her.

"Forest......we have to go.......you need to be brought somewhere safe.." He said.

She nodded.  She walked over making sure she wasn't leaving anything behind. While she did, Ace leaned close to Kenzie and gave her a hug, whispering in her ear,

"I'm so sorry...........I-I......I love you....." He said sadly.

( Hate to ruin the moment, but that was a LOT of writhing. Mostly the lullaby though. Oh and also BurningEndurance isn't responding so I'm just going to say I saved him. already.)

 

Shadow and Rye waited for Ace and Kenzie for a long time until they decided to look for them. They searched everywhere until they entered the Princesses Headquarters. She tried to open the door, but it was locked. Somepony was in there.

((((I've got something called school and sleep, I'm sorry if I can't keep up with the posting, no rest for the weary)))

 

Rye saw the rope dangling down from the second floor, he didn't know if he had it in him to grab it though, was she going to be able to pull him up? He had to muster one last bit of Strength, but he'd been doing that for a while now, he could barely lift his hooves off the ground, as for his levitation magic.... Rye was coming up the the rope fast, he use the last ounce of magic he had and lifted himself to the rope, closing his teeth on the rope he tried to mumble, "...ul ...e ....up" he wasn't sure she heard that but the Trotters that had been chasing him were no right under him waiting for Rye to fall or the rope to break.

Shadow pulled Rye up the rope. When he finally reached the 2nd floor Shadow said " We need to find Kenzie and Ace "

When I was up hear I heard a gunshot which means either they shot something or they got shot.

Rye was panting heavily and sweat was pouring down his face, he tried to speak but he could only get short breathes, Rye felt vey light headed. "Ju...just...go.... With.....without .....me" Rye gave Shadow a serious look and implied that she go help Ace and Kenzie, he laid down his head on the floor, waiting for her response.

Rye said to go on without him. "No way! you saved my life at the mansion and now it's time to return the favor" With all her strength she lifted up Rye on her back. "Where we headed?" Shadow Asked. The zombies were getting restless down there. Some were even climbing on top of each other. "We better hurry!".

"Ju...just go tow...ards....gun shots" he instructed politely, she started moving down the hallway, the sounds of Trotters falling from the small tower they were trying to create to get to their prey flooded throughout the walls. Sounds of bones breaking and blood splattering, 'I gotta stop exhausting myself like this" Rye thought to himself.

Shadow Dust found a the Princesses Headquarters and heard talking inside. "Rye there's somepony in the Princesses Headquarters".

Shadow quietly tried to open the door, but it was locked. They needed a plan to get inside. " Rye any suggestions?"

They could either bust it down or knock. Maybe something else if Rye could think of it.

The entire scene changed before Luna and Kenzie. THe sky turned dark and thunder started to rumble. Luna muttered a few curse words.

 

She turned to Kenzie with sad eyes, "I am sorry. BUt your time... is up."

Kenzie's mouth was agape. "WHAT?! But Prince-"

Luna interrupted her, "I know i know. You shouldve went back when she asked you. Celestia isnt the one to keep you thinking about something for so long."

Kenzie had tears streaming down her cheeks, "Please! Take me back PLEASE! I beg you!"

Luna smiled sadly, "I am sorry. Celestia is the only one with the power to. I must go before she finds me."

 

With that Luna disappeared in the leaving Kenzie crying alone in the field. She looked that the screen to see her body breath out. Her heart started to ache really bad. She placed her hoof on her chest. Normal... slower... faint... none....

Rye uses a bit of magic to lift up his sniper and point it at the door, "Bust it down" whispered Rye, he lined up the shot with his eye and the scope aiming right through the opening of the door. He pulled back the bolt and awaited for Shadow to bust down the door and watch as the pony inside fell to the ground, "I honestly don't think anyone in this place could be a good person"

She turned to Kenzie with sad eyes, "I am sorry. BUt your time... is up."

Luna interrupted her, "I know i know. You shouldve went back when she asked you. Celestia isnt the one to keep you thinking about something for so long."

Ace heard no more breath. No more heartbeat. No more life. He cried again. Holding her tight.

"I'm ...s-s-s-s-so s-s-sorry...." He said. He hated himself now. Another pony had died....and it was all his fault. And it was this pony. This amazing pony, that in his eyes, he murdered. The door was busted open as Rye and Shadow came in ready to fire. Ace just help Her limp body and cried.

Once they were inside they saw Ace and Forestfire. Shadow saw them crying and sobbing. There was a dead pony next to Ace.

" Oh cool who did you kill!" Shadow then realized that it was...Kenzie. Shadow didn't know what to say, or do. She sorta cried, but she didn't really know Kenzie. " WHO KILLED KENZIE!" Shadow Demanded. She will hunt down whoever killed her.

Rye shot the roof, "Damn it, you freaked me out, I almost shot your head off....... What happened to Kenzie?" Rye got off Shadows and looked at the limp body on the ground, next to her a little foal. Rye opened his eyes wide, and looked intently at Kenzie, "Is... Is she dead?"

Once they were inside they saw Ace and Forestfire. Shadow saw them crying and sobbing. There was a dead pony next to Ace.

" Oh cool who did you kill!" Shadow then realized that it was...Kenzie. Shadow didn't know what to say, or do. She sorta cried, but she didn't really know Kenzie. " WHO KILLED KENZIE!" Shadow Demanded. She will hunt down whoever killed her.

"W-whoever.....had a......gun....." Ace said crying. 

"B-but it was my fault.......I should have p-p-protected her.......and I ddn't.......I'm a horribe pony......she died because of me.......I hate myself." He said. He knew that he had to let go and shoot her. He let go after saying one last goodbye and pointing his gun to her head. 

He droped the gun.

"I CAN'T DO IT!" He said crying on the floor.
