*It's not thinking highly of yourself when it's all true,* sniggered 1337. She then grabbed Rain's body and held it out in front of her, backing against the wall. *Try and hit me now, asshole.*

Rocketeer was still there and she sighed and rolled her eyes. *Lover's quarrel,* she joked.

"Wrong move" he said. His scythe glowed an odd color. He swung it at Rain and 1337. It simply passed through Rain and impaled 1337. "I have tricks too." he said with a fanged smile.

A bullet whizzed through the air, embedding itself in 1337's shoulder. Alten set the sniper rifle down and smirked.

1337 looked annoyed when the scythe and bullet made contact. *You seem to be forgetting that that doesn't hurt.*

She ran to the side of the building and swung over the edge with Rain, floating to the ground and teleporting away.

1337 projected her own voice back. It was tight, not her usual mocking drawl.

The bullet grazed Alten's right shoulder, causing a large amount of pain, but no major damage was done. Alten swore and rolled over into cover. He tore down a drape from the window and quickly wrapped his wounded shoulder. She's too powerful for Shadow to handle? This will certainly change things. he thought as he took off flying towards shadow and rocketeer

1337 was sitting in the middle of her apartment, staring at Rain. She was admittedly surprised that someone with this sort of power would be someone quite so...stupid.

Never mind that, there's work to be done.

She carried her into another room where she was hooked up to a machine. 1337 slipped a small transmitting device into the back of Rain's head and attached the other part to herself. She then closed her eyes and waited...

Hopefully no one will disturb me...this is far too important to go unchecked. If she's not careful I may have to kill her myself.

"Sniper. It's nothing serious. That isn't important though, right now we need to find whoever that is who took Rain."

1337 was still waiting. Nothing seemed to be happening at the moment.

5hit! What is going on? This thing always works!

She checked her connection and it was fine. There was nothing wrong with Rain...except maybe...

Oh god, this can't be right...that isn't even possible!

"Very well, take this tracking beacon. Ill use it to find you when you get there." Alten handed rocketeer a small rectangle, about the size of a playing card.

"very well, once i get there, tell shadow so he can teleport to my location" he took the tracking device and dissapeared in a ball of lightning

1337 was pacing, looking at the still unconscious Rain in the chair. The brain activity monitor was dead, but Rain was still breathing.

This makes no sense...this machine has never broken before! How can it not be processing her thoughts?

1337 smashed her hand against a heavy wooden desk in the corner of the room, and it broke into smithereens.

I should kill her right now...she's far too dangerous...

She slowly approached Rain and looked at her.

Rain looked almost peaceful, even with a large bruise already forming on the side of her head.

5hit...Shadow'll be really pissed if I do...but this is my only option...

*Suddenly, the door broke down, and there was Rick.* "What do you think you are doing?"

"step away from the girl!"

*Get out!* yelled 1337, and a wave of sudden force hit Rick and knocked him over.

*What do you think you're doing?* she hissed at him. *She's far too dangerous! I'm preserving lives here!*

The Rocketeer also entered and 1337 glared at him.

*Rick stood back up and bone spikes emerged from his arms and knives from his wrists.*

"I wont let you hurt the woman I love!" *He shouted and ten charged at 1337 slashing at her.*

Alten bolted off when he got a lock on 1337's location. He quickly arrived at the apartment and stopped on the roof, switching his powers to invisibility and fire. He blasted a hole in the roof and leaped down into the room, using the dust from the rubble as cover while he turned invisible.
