"Me too" Shadow said hugging her back. He teleported a few feet away and started too walk off with his team mates. Deciding he would only cause more problems. "Stitches i told you not to do your stupid experiment around her you buffoon!" he said rather irritated "But we had to test it's limitations" he replied.

"Why'd he just run off like that?" said Six as he watched Shadow leave. He turned to Rain, "Rain... Please don't try ta run off and kill yerself. Ahm beggin ya... Ah don't want ya ta die again. Ah wouldnt be able ta live with mahself."

Shadow sighed "I don't give two craps about it's 'limitations' just go back to that torch hound thing you were doing." Stitches looked defeated "Fine" he said finally

Rain stared off into space for a few seconds and then let out a small defeated sound.

"Okay. Okay, I won't do it."

Six smiled, and out of sheer relief hugged her, "Thank ya Rain" he said quietly.

Shadow looked back to where Six and Rain were "Eh, i guess we should all talk for a bit" he said turning around with Dakota and Stitches and started back towards them.

Rain shrugged and smiled wanly. "Don't thank me. I'm just going to be as troublesome as ever."

Six sighed "And ah thought Shadows self esteem needed a kick in the ass yers needs a downright whoopin" he said, but with a humorous tone. He looked over and saw Shadow approach, "Howdy" he said to him.

Shadow gave a wave "Interesting day....." he said with a laugh "I got nothing to do"

Six chuckled, "Well that's a change in the flow of things ain't it?"

"Lot of stuff has happened in the last few days" Shadow said with a slight smirk as he sat on the curb. Dakota and Stitches stayed out of the conversation.

Six nodded. "Eeyup... actually Ahm glad fer the break. So... ya feelin better?"

Rain just looked between the two of them, knowing if she said anything she'd just mess it up.

"Not really, but sort of" He said.

 

Stitches got out a phone and looked through it.

Six shrugged, "Sort of is better than not" he said. He then looked at Rain, "Why ya so quiet?"

Rain also shrugged. "Well you're getting along for once. I wasn't going to say anything that would screw it up. Whiiiich I probably just did. I'll shut up now."

Six raised an eyebrow, "Ya don't need ta shut up, yer fine..." he then looked to Shadow and sighed. "Rain... Ahm gonna tell ya what ah already told Shadow. Everything that's been goin on... you under this constant pressure of thinkin ya had ta choose someone, it's been tearin ya apart... Ah care about ya Rain, that's why ah decided ta lay off. Ah ain't gonna try and compete fer ya, ya don't deserve that kind of pressure. Ah would be honored ta call ya Mah friend. Ah hope you'll understand Rain..."

Shadow felt like saying something but was hesitant. He just listened for now. He disagreed with what Six was saying, and really could not understand why Six thought Rain should be with him instead of Six himself.

Rain just sucked on her lip for a bit and nodded.

"Thank you for understanding," she said jerkily, and that was when 1337 suddenly appeared behind her and grabbed her.

Shadow got up "You are really getting annoying" he said to 1337. Dakota and Stitches both readied themselves.

1337 waved a hand, still gripping Rain. *I'm not here to kill her again, that's no fun! No, I'd just like to have a private chat with her.* She smiled mockingly. *Of course, I'm sure she needs your permission before she can go anywhere.*

Rain just rolled her eyes. "It's cool," she said to Shadow, not trusting Dakota and Stitches enough.

"You are just going to talk to her?" he said signaling Stitches and Dakota to back down. "I can take your word for that, but if not i'm going to rip you apart." he said sitting back down in the curb

Sam excitedly thumbed through the encyclopedia, stopping whenever she saw something she didn't know. In her excitement, she had forgotten about her other gifts. It was only when she reached the entry on birthdays did she remember.

 

"Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Seb," she said sincerely. "I completely forgot about the other boxes."

 

As she picked up the third one she stopped.

 

"Do you think anyone else is going to show up Mr. Seb?"
