"I heard about Weiss....I'm really sorry," she said as she sat on the foot of the bed gingerly. "I never met her but I'm sure she was a wonderful person."

Hiccup knocked again, then slowly opened the door...

 

And what he saw on the other side... surprised... him.

 

He cocked his head. "Rocketeer?"

"yes thats me, i was ressurected a few hours ago" he said

Shadow nodded his head to Rain and got up. He walked to Fire "What now?" he asked him "I dunno" Fire responded.

Hiccup was amazed how easily he shrugged it off. "Oh... is that a regular occurrence for you?"

"no, it was quite a truamatic one, made even worse that my friend weiss died' he said

Hiccup opened his mouth to say something, but his lips did not utter a word. He let out a breath, and tears quickly fluttered to his eyes, ones he quickly wiped away with the back of his hand.

 

Taking another breath, he managed to get out, "R-really?" He took another breath, steadying his voice. "Did you confirm it?"

Shadow looked at Hiccup "Well dragon boy....what brings you to my humble home?" he asked trying to regulate his mood.

Rain was still sitting on the edge of the bed staring at the wall.

I can't believe it...I feel like 5hit!

She just stood up and walked to a mirror, smashing it. Her hand stared bleeding from multiple cuts, running down her arm, but she was so soaked in blood already it didn't even matter.

This girl was going out with Shadow and I kissed him? What kind of person AM I?!

Rain started to throw random objects against the wall with force, her eyes steely.

I let him cheat on her? She must have hated me...

She punched the wall with her other hand, making a hole in the plaster and making her other arm bleed.

What kind of person am I?...

Shadow heard noises from the other room. "What in the heck was that." he said.

Shadow looked at Hiccup "Well dragon boy....what brings you to my humble home?" he asked trying to regulate his mood.

 

Luckily, he already erased signs of his sorrow. Just in time too.

 

"Oh, you again!" He pointed a finger at him as Toothless eyed Shadow through a large windowpane.

 

Hiccup allowed his emotions to cloud his logic, and quickly accused Shadow. "I bet you were the one who killed Weiss, weren't you?!?"

 

Shadow looked away, as Hiccup exclaimed at him. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" He then foolishly ran in and attempted to tackle Shadow while he was distracted, aiming to pin him to the ground.

the rocketeer threw up his arm and hiccup was suspended in the air

 

"what is the meaning of this?"

Shadow looked at him with an evil stare. He still wanted to check out what the noise was but now had bigger problems. "You have no right to attack me in my own home dragon boy." he said with a snarl.

[Toothless the Night Fury 260]

Surprisingly, Hiccup made it closer than he expected. Unfortunately though, he was caught by Rocketeer's magic, which stopped the desperate few inches needed to collide with him.

 

"Agh!" He exclaimed. "Put me down!" He demanded.

 

As if on a cue, the dragon jumped through the window, shattering it into a million sharp fragments. Toothless assumed a battle position, lowering his head to the ground and growling at the Rocketeer, baring his razor-sharp teeth.

the rocketeer dropped hiccup on a couch and talked up to the dragon, mere inches from its face

 

"where did you find this beast?"

Shadow took a few steps back and sat in a chair with a smug smile "Well, i didn't even get to do anything there" he said

Hmm... Fluffy...

 

Despite the strangely soft couch, Hiccup snapped back at the Rocketeer. "None of your business."

 

Hearing Shadow's comment, he snapped at him as well. "You want something to do?!? How about fixing your nose after I break it!"

Shadow got up and went to the fridge. He poured the same red liquid and mixed in a few other things before sitting back down. he took a sip and stared at Hiccup in case of another attack. He looked at the Rocketeer "What are you now? the green lantern?" he asked.

Hiccup scoffed, but nonetheless gave an answer. "On an island. Many, many miles away from this city."

 

Toothless simply stared back at Rocketeer, waiting for an attack, or a command.

Hearing Shadow's comment, he snapped at him as well. "You want something to do?!? How about fixing your nose after I break it!"

the rocketeer laughed at shadows comment as he continued inspecting the dragon, once he was done walked back over and asked

 

"now, what is all this about? i think we have had enough fighting for one day"

Toothless was confused why this strange man was inspecting him. He looked at Hiccup for a command, but did nothing except glare at another person sitting on a couch across from him. Once he was done, he looked again at his master, who finally gave a command to stand down.

 

The Night Fury sat on his hind legs, and waited.

"At least I'm not a crazy son of a b****...", Hiccup mumbled at Shadow's comment, but then turned to the Rocketeer. "Tell me. Who killed Weiss?" He then shot an angry glance at Shadow, before turning back to the Rocketeer.
