Sebastian continued to laugh as Rain began to gasp. He twirled around, the scythe almost appearing attached to him as his eyes started to glow yellow.

 

(*cough cough* The scythe...)

Shadow woke up dazed. He saw Seb and Rain, she appeared dead. He decided to keep it cool. He noticed the scythe, there was a dark and evil aura on it. He teleported to the side of him and kicked it out of his hands.

The scythe left Sebastian's hand and there was an angry scream before it clattered to the ground,

Sebastian looked around, dazed. ^I-what's going on?^ He noticed Rain lying on the ground and ignored Shadow, pushing a dampened lock of hair away from her face. ^Rain?^ he said painfully, and he felt a tear slip out of his eyes. ^Oh god no, RAIN!^

He chest moved slightly and he gasped in relief, turning to Shadow. ^You know what we have to to in order to save her, right?^

"Not.....really...." he said. His mind was racing. Trying to block out the fact she could die.

[Mephala 2,633]

^I tried using the scythe, as you can tell it didn't work,^ he said, glaring down at the object in question. He looked back at Shadow and there was something resolute in his eyes. ^Soul exchange. Since we're not reviving her to human life, we only need to kill several people.^

He said this in a businesslike manner, as though they were talking about the weather and not murdering people.

"Well that abominably fine with me..." he said with a slight laugh. "Although, my scythe stores souls. shouldn't that work?" he said

[Mephala 2,633]

Sebastian shook his head. ^I was a reaper, mine has the exact same powers as yours if not a little stronger. Plus using those right now isn't a good idea, trust me.^ He blinked and looked down at Rain. ^We don't have much time, she'll die within minutes. Fortunately the poison is spreading slow but we need to go, NOW.^

[Chickey 383]

Shadow shrugged. He obviously did not know who he got his scythe from. "So what do we need to do?"

[Mephala 2,633]

^Basically just kill a few people and offer up their souls,^ said Sebastian. ^It sounds stupid but that's the way it works.^

[Chickey 383]

"You want me to do that?" he asked. "Why not just kill a lot of people and just revive her all together? and do they have to be a specific kind of person?"

[Mephala 2,633]

^No,^ said Sebastian sharply. ^We are NOT killing anyone unnecessary. If Rain is to be revived then the moderators may do so. However, if she 'dies' in this place, she is not coming back!^ He tried to calm down. ^Listen, as long as we get maybe five people, we should be okay. And make it count, don't kill kids or anything, okay?^

[Chickey 383]

Shadow nodded as he faded away. He collected five normal people through teleportaton. They were all lined up on a wall in binds, all age 20-40. He pulled out his pistol and began to walk down the line shooting them in their heads. His inner self felt bad, but his inner evil needed something to keep it at bay in case it wants to come back.

Sebastian waited for Shadow by Rain, feeling sick at knowing what was happening. He had tried everything else, but she was slipping away, and he'd run out of options. She had moments now and he carefully stroked her forehead, praying Shadow would hurry up.

Shadow reappeared back. Droplets of blood on his face and clothes. He cleaned them off with magic. "The deed is done" he said rather calmly

Sebastian nodded, looking a little disturbed. ^Let me handle this, I've got more experience than you.^

He closed his eyes and focused and found himself alone, a shadowy tall figure in front of him with the five ghostly spirits floating beside him.

You've brought us more than enough, as per usual, dear Sebastian, said the figure in a low, raspy voice.

Sebastian bent his head in respect as the figure continued. You wish to bring back the girl?

^Yes,^ he said quietly.

The figure made a small noise of discontent. As much as I'd have loved to play with her, she has a very low pain tolerance...very well, she will be revived on the one condition that she is fully resurrected by this time next week.

Sebastian lifted his head in surprise. ^That was never part of the rules-^ he started, but the thing shushed him.

We can do what we want here, fool. I'm cutting you a deal. You have a chance or she can remain with us.

Sebastian sighed but dipped his head again. ^I accept the terms.^

Very well. The spirits disappeared, each screaming. It is done. Return and she'll be there.

Sebastian did a full bow. ^Thank you.^

Leave before I change my mind, it chuckled, and Sebastian opened his eyes.

Rain was still soaked in her own blood and her bones were still broken, but her breathing was regular even as she lay, still unconscious. Sebastian hugged her limp form carefully and set about making casts and splints.

^Thanks. I couldn't have done that myself,^ he said without looking up at Shadow. ^So you do actually care about her.^

"Obviously" he sat on a bench. "if only i could get my friend Stitches in here..." he said

^She'll be okay, she just needs rest and care.^ Sebastian finished her leg splint. ^Two broken arms, one leg, and three ribs, in addition to all her fingers and toes. Not good, but survivable.^

He looked troubled for a moment but then shook his head, making a stretcher appear and carefully laying her on it.

"Unless she is a vampire, 'rest and care' ain't gonna fix that...." he said with a small smirk. "i could find a way for him to get here."

[Mephala 2,633]

Sebastian rolled his eyes. ^People have suffered far worse. I don't want any of your creepy-ass friends doing stuff to her, thank you. I think I can handle it.^

[Chickey 383]

Shadow imitated a flapping mouth with his hand right to mock Seb. "I think Stitches might be offended" He paused for a moment. "Well what now?"

^Well he seemed pretty excited to blow up the city with you. Not really the company she needs right now,^ said Sebastian scathingly. ^And I dunno. Lurk, I suppose. I'm not going back just yet.^

"Meh, he is the best doctor I know, fixed up Ten when he turned to a pile of mush on the sidewalk..." he said leaning his head back and looking up.

^Like I said, I'd rather help her myself. Your 'friends' scare me.^ Rain stirred slightly and Sebastian disregarded Shadow completely for a few seconds. When she didn't wake up, he leaned back, disappointed.

"Even Fire?" he asked almost surprised. "That kid could barely hurt a fly!"

^Well all of them seemed pretty psychopathic. Haven't met this Fire kid but that werewolf-y type needs to calm down.^
