"Send him straight to hell!" The cannon fired and the tent was shredded to bits with a bit of blood.

"Got him!" Atlas fired some more shots into the officer section of the camp. 

 

Meanwhile...

 

A sharpshooter lined up his shot. 

"Got ya you Lunar bastard" He fired.

 

Atlas dropped to his knees. 

"I'm hit!" He looked down at his leg. A bullet wound was oozing blood. "I've had worse. Get me a bandage and I'll keep going"

Times kneel down and called for a soldier to bring him his medical bag. "Ok this is going to sting" Times pulled out the bullet and used a white cloth to clean the blood. Times sewed the wound closed and put a bandage on his leg. Times grabbed one of the soldier's muskets and aimed. He saw the sharpshooter, Times saw it was just a common regular, no older then 19. Times just shot him in the leg with out killing him. The soldiers reloaded the cannon and aimed it at another cannon.

Sapphire looked down at times and atlas, she had not seen atlas before but shrugged it off. She kept on firing at the ponys who looked like they were the ones with ranks

 

Embers ran away from the group, back into the Forrest and up into a tree. He sighed, but he did not want to die

Times picked up the linstock and said yo Atlas "let me do the fire for now" Times lit the fuse and the cannon fired. The 2nd cannon was destroyed, there was anarchy in the large group of Celestials now.  Some of them started to run but they didn't make it far, the officers shot them dead. Times noticed some Lunars inside the fort started to fire their cannons. They began destroying the wooden walls that protected the Celestial cannons.

"Oh Celestia... They're gunning down their own troops..." Atlas looked on in horror. Wounded or not he aimed his rifle at an officer and fired dropping him dead.

"I'm running low on ammo. Hey! Aim for that tent! It's gunpowder storage. With luck it might explode!" Atlas flinched as his wound sent a spike of pain through his body.

Sapphire kept on firing shot after shot at the group, trying to aim for those who looked like they were the ones running it

She sighed and hoped down "Its no use, they keep coming" She sighed and looked over at atlas. "Like he said, are best bet it the gunpowder storage"

The soldiers and Times reloaded the cannon and fired at the tent. The tent detonated and a large area was black with ash and burning. The Celestials started to waver. They began scattering and a general was out in the open. "There he is" Times flew up and then ofter the general. The general was a unicorn so he was easy to catch up with. Times tackled him and pulled out his saber. Times stabbed the general.

Sapphire looked over at times stabbing the general and smiled, she hoped down next to a few ponys and highfived them, the laughed as she looked around "Who would have thought that even with this few numbers, we could still win the fight!" She smiled and looked at times

Times flew back to the cannon and looked at her. "Its because we had the courage to finish the fight... unlike them." Times said as he pointed to the scattering Celestials. Times smiled and wiped the blood off of his saber and sheathed it. "Celestia might have taught them to fight but she didn't teach them how to stand their ground."

Sapphire chuckled "It seemes as if she only taught a few of them to fight, the rest to just get shot" She smiled and looked over at times, laughing as she did "That was fast and sweet" She said with a smile

 

Embers sighed as he sat near his tent, not really know what to do now that this army had been destoryed

Times smiled "maybe now we can take a real break." Times said sitting down and looking at the battlefield. Some of the soldiers from the fort came out and put the celestial corpses on stretchers. Times took off his helmet and pulled out his spyglass and looked through it to see the casualties. Lunars: 0 dead, 1 wounded Celestials: 34 dead, 7 wounded.... 6 wounded 35 dead. Times thought as he counted the moving and non-moving bodies

Sapphire yawned and fell back on her back "Eh, long day" She chuckled and looked at times as he moved through the field, at least he now knew that he could have a little fun. She smiled and got up, looking over the field at the trees on the other side, laughing as she did

Times walked to a Celestial that was wounded. "Don't hurt me, I'm too young to die" the Celestial said. Times looked at him. "Its ok, I'm not going to kill you." A soldier brought Times his medical bag and Times pulled out a syringe. He injected the Celestial and numbed his wound. Times pulled out the bullet and bandaged the Celestial up. "As of today your a prisoner of war...." Times said as two of the soldiers took the Celestial into the fort.

Sapphire looked around, the day had passed fast, but there was still plenty of time for her to talk somemore. She walked over to the pony she had been talking with before he had been shot. She smiled and said hi

 

Embers looked down at the fort, he face hoofed and sighed

Times patched up all of the wounded Celestials and had them sent into the fort. When Times had finished he had used 4 rolls of bandages, 5 syringes of morphine, and broke 2 knives trying to get bullets or metal out of wounds. Times put on his medical bag and helmet and looked at his helmet. When he had first joined his helmet was new with a freshly painted red cross covering the front and a blue crescent moon on the side. But now the cross was scratched away and faded, and the crescent moon was now just a few patches of blue. Maybe if I get the chance I can restore my armor. Times thought. He looked back to his cape that was torn and had many bullet holes inside it. The cloth on his chest was dirty and ripped. His shoulder pads and boots were dented and scratched. His back leg boots were wrapped up in sports tape.

Sapphire walked over to times, yawning as she went "Who would have thought you were also a medic? No wonder why your the one running this here group" She smiled and lightly punched him on the shoulder. She laughed and looked at his face "So sir, what next?" She said while smiling

Times looked at her. "We take a break from traveling and fighting for the next few days." Times said before laughing a little. "Each of use will have our own quarters now instead of sleeping in tents." Times smiled and put on his helmet. Maybe I can see if anypony has some paint and sewing materials in the fort. Times thought

Sapphire grinned "Well...I kind of already had my own tent" She laughed "Guess that isnt the point, it was fun fighting with you, sir" She chuckled and looked around

 

Embers yawned and sat down on a tree, just outside of the field. He looked down at them and sighed, wondering if her would ever find a arm

Times smiled "I'm hoping to have plenty of more battles along side you." Times yawned "Well I'm going to find out where my quarters are, If you need anything don't be afraid to come ask." Times walked into the fort and asked the pony who ran the fort where is quarters were. The general pointed to Times' quarters and Times walked to them and entered. When Times entered he took off his armor. He put his armor on a mannequin and lit a candle. He at down at a table and grabbed a black scroll, quill, and ink jar and began writing a letter.

Sapphire smiled and walked over to were her place was, she sat on the bed, then laughed. It had been so long sense she had been able to sit someplace like this. She took off her jacket and hat, setting them on the table and laying down

 

Embers pulled a cloak over her head and walked over into the group

Times wrote on the scroll;

  To Princess Luna,

      I am happy to report that Fort Saturn has been successfully defended. Our forces had only suffered 1 casualty. We have taken 6 Celestials prisoner and recovered 5 cannons, 400 pounds of rations, 200 pounds of gunpowder, 140 guns, and 200 bullets. The fort walls stood but are badly damaged. My team and I will be staying in the fort for 5 days before returning to the Fillydelpha camp.  Also I should note that the Celestial General was killed in battle.

Times rolled up the scroll and tied it closed. "I will send a messenger out tomorrow" Times set down the quill and lay'd down on the bed.

Sapphire yawned and looked up at the roof, then out of the window. She smiled and slowly closed her eyes as she saw the moon rise, who knows, this war might soon be over, and they might win

 

Embers jumped down from one of the trees and looked up at the forts walls, he sighed

Times remembered the flower he secretly gave Sapphire. He wondered what would happen if she found he gave it to her. He blew out the candle and closed his eyes. He yawned and started to drift off to sleep. He put the blanket over him and rolled onto his side.

Sapphire slowly closed her eyes, leaning into her pillow as she thought about the war, and how there could still be happy times. She slowly closed her eyes and drifted off into sleep

 

Embers walked away from the fort, he would have to get it later. He set up a tent a few yards away, in the forest

Times drifted off to sleep but was awoken by a knock on the door. Times got up and opened the door. "Yes?" Times said. There was a soldier at the door. "The general wants to meet you. He said its important" the soldier said. "Okay let me get dressed" Times said before closing the door. Times put on his cloth under armor and steel boots. Times opened the door and said "okay, lets go" Times said before following the soldier.
