Times looked at her. "When this war started... I had to learn to grow up. If I hadn't then I wouldn't be here talking to you. I would be six feet under." Times said pushing back down his face guard and sighing. "I wish I could go back to how it was. Back to when I had fun.... back when Equestria was at peace... Before I had to fight my own friends and family" Times said before shedding a single tear

Sapphire looked at times "That is true, war has changed much of this land, and us, but you cant let that stop you from having fun. Fun is the whole reason why were still alive, its because if there wasnt any fun, there would be no point in living" She turned away as she said this

Times looked forward. He opened his mouth but didn't say anything. He just looked to the ground and sighed. Times looked at Sapphire. Times still didn't say anything he just looked at her... thinking. He then finally said something, "Your right, but when you have the responsibilities that I have you never get a chance to have fun. So I just..... forgot about having fun all together..."

Sapphire shrugged and looked down as she started walking "I know you may think you have forgotten what fun is like, but it will always be there, waiting to come out of its shell and let you have some fun, you can never fully get away from fun" She looked up

Times looked down. "For you, maybe, but Me....  but its too late for me..."  Times shed a tear that came out of one of the slits in his helmet. Times hated crying just as much as he hated seeing ponies cry. He wiped the tear off of his helmet. He looked up and continued walking.

Sapphire face hoofed and kept walking "Fine, you can keep telling yourself that, but there will always be fun, and it is never to late." She shrugged as she said this, looking down at the ground. She walked over a few sticks, sighing as she did. She then looked back up at times

Times looked at her. "Maybe your wrong... maybe your right... I'm hoping for the ladder." Times said. He looked forward and said "I'm going to take your word for it though." Times said before seeing the butterfly crawl onto the front of his helmet. He was going to shake it off but didn't he just stared at it.

Sapphire smiled "Yeah...We still have some kid in all of us" She chuckled as she opend her book, looking at the pages. She laughs lightly and looked at the sky, there were only a few clouds and she smiled as the sun beat down on her. She then looked back over at times

Times followed the butterfly with his eyes. He had a black expression on his face. He saw the red wings of the butterfly before it flew off. He noticed he had stopped walking and caught up with the group. He watched as the butterfly flew close to Times and Sapphire.

Sapphire smiled as the butterfly flew past her, giggaling as it did. She then yawned and looked at times, then back to the butterfly. She tilted her head and looked back at the sky

 

Embers followed the group, wondering where they would be going. He put the bandanna around his face

Times smiled when he saw the butterfly fly by him. He looked to the front and saw a forest. "The fort is on the other side of this forest." Times said with his normal emotionless face.  The soldiers looked at him and one said "How are we move a cannon through a forest?"

Sapphire looked at the Forrest, the trees were huge "Well, I guess we could just drag it?" She looked at times, then at the trees

 

Embers lept from tree to tree, this was were he was at home, in a huge Forrest like this. He laughed and loaded his rifle, he jumped around for abit more

Times looked around and saw a path. "I see a path over there!" Times said pointing to the forest path. Times took lead and the soldiers followed. Times heard some movement in the bushes and readied his flintlock. Until he saw a rabbit come out. Times sighed in relief.

Embers yawned as he looked down at them, he loaded his rifle and looked down at them. If he wanted to kill someone, he would have to aim away from times. He sighed and droped a stick infront of times while he waited

 

Sapphire smiled as times looked at the bush "See? not everything is bad in this world"

Times looked at her and said "you can never be to careful" Times looked forward and saw a group of deer run by. "hmm it seems this forest is the least effected by the war." Times said noticing all the birds in the trees looking down at them. Times saw a stick fall and just thought it was because of a bird.

Embers chuckled and looked down at times, there were plenty of stuff to use that would look like birds or deer. He took a moment to take in how green the trees around him were, it must rain alot here

 

Sapphire smiled as she looked around, life seemed to be teeming here

As they ventured deeper into the forest a cannon shot could be heard and a way out of the forest could be seen. When they made it to the end they saw the small stone fort and out side it stood a huge army of Celestials. "Mother of luna... We are going to need more gunpowder."

Sapphire grabbed her rifle and jumped next to times "Uh...sir...What are we going to do? There are way to many to fight" She sighed and looked at the trees around her, and she jumped up onto one

 

Embers droped a rock down to times, he then looked up at the army he used to be a part of

((Sorry for not posting. Time difference and all. Also I may have missed something))

Atlas had let them talk. He had just followed them in the forest and their cannon.

"Today will be a dark day..." Atlas thought of all the soldiers who wouldn't leave the battlefield.

"That's the fifth combat group. A bunch of draftees with some of the most battle hardened officers in Celestia's army. They only got two weeks of training... The officers are veterans and will throw them right into cannon fire with no remorse..."

Times looked at Sapphire "this is where the cannon comes in. But the main objective is to destroy their siege equipment." Times said and turned to the soldiers. "Come on set up the cannon... good thing this forest is on a hill." Times looked down to the huge army.

Sapphire also looked down from where she was standing on the tree "Alright, that is true that we have the high ground" She looked over at atlas and smiled "Cannon fodder eh? Thats what I feel like most of the time"

 

Embers sighed and walked into the troops of his own army

The soldiers readied the cannon and filled it with gunpowder. Times put in the cannonball and fuse. One of the soldiers aimed the cannon and Times looked at Atlas with the Linstock. "would you like to do the honor" Times said holding it out for Atlas to light the fuse.

[Firehearted 120]

Atlas looked at the fuse.

"Sure" He got behind the cannon and lined it up. Using much strength he pushed it ever so slightly to aim for a cannon with nopony manning it. Atlas stepped to the side with the fuse. 

"I guess this means I'm turncoat..." He let the fuse drop to the cannon. BOOM. The shot fired true and destroyed the cannon.

"Aim for the officers. If they get taken out the rest of the army will flee" Atlas pulled out his loaded rifle, quickly aimed and shot a Solar major who was out in the open dead.

Sapphire looked down at atlas "You know, Im good at pin point shooting" She smirked and looked up, looking through her scope before aiming for the officers, she fired her 1st shot

 

Embers ducked as a explosion hit them, he was to late. He swore and ran back into the Forrest

Some Celestial started to panic, Times reloaded the cannon and aimed it at a large then that was clearly the general's tent. Times had reloaded it with a canister shot. "Lets tear the general to shreds... or would you rather blow him in half?" Times said looking at Atlas
