"Alright.Night, Yosuke.I`ll handle the rest of the phone calls." Okay,he hadn't noticed her hair... either she'd done it recently, very recently, or the shadow was just following the motif. He called up Kanji. They had a short exchange, coming up with a few theories that they eventually decided didn't hold water. Kanji said he'd talk to those two guys who expressed interest in going into the tv tommarrow as well... see if they wanted to come in with them. 

 

Yu nodded, saying goodnight and oppening the speed dial to Chie's phone, hearing the ringtone go a few times. "Come on, Chie..." He muttered, pacing in his room as he waited.

Chie arrived in her home and went straight to her room. As midnoght draws closer, She called Yukiko. The guest usually already asleep at times like this, so Chie decided to make a call to Yukiko, informing her about the upcoming midnight channel.
 

Chie: Hey, Yukiko. It's me, Chie, are you still awake?

Yukiko : Oh, hey Chie. I was actually going to sleep. I was dead tired today. 

Chie : Oh, sorry. But this is an emergency. The midnight channel might be up again tonight. But, if you don't wanna see it tonight, I can fill you in on what happened on the midnight channel tomorrow.

Yukiko : Oh it's OK. I still have some energy to watch the channel.

Chie: Oh great. Ooh the it's close to midnight. We should keep the line open.

Yukiko : Okay.

 

it's seconds away from 12 PM. Both girls sat there waiting for the channel to appear. The clock rang. The midnight has arrived. From the appeared, a circus act with Marie 'hosting' it like a presenter. A natural as usual she was, since Marie worked as weather woman in TV. Then all the nonsense came and soon enough, the channel shuts down. 

 

Chie : Oh no. Marie. You saw that Yukiko.

Yukiko. Yeah. As clear as day. We should meet up. I'm actually free tomorrow. Maybe the others will go too.

Chie : Okay. We meet up at Junes tomorrow at the usual place.

Yukiko : Noted. G'night Chie

Chie : Good night Yukiko

 

Yukiko ended the call and both went to sleep afterwards. Chie got a phone call from Yu 

 

"Oh Yu, did you see the Midnight channel?" Chie asked

"Yes, of course. I just got off the phone with Yosuke and Kanji... we discussed it bit, but nothing really of note. I figured the best course of action would be to contact you, and make sure you were informed on what happened, along with the others..." He sighed, sitting on his bed... he usually was pretty calm and collected but... here, with Chie he allowed his concerns to creep into his voice, "How... how could this happen..." He muttered into the phone. "I mean... I thought we did everything we could... was it not enough...? I..." He sighed... might as well admit the fear he was feeling as of late... "I keep wondering if there was something different that I could've done..."

The anxiety in Yu's voice is concerning Chie. He ranted on his action to seek the truth years ago, on how he felt that the act that have cost him a lot of time and effort are not enough. He was confused and depressed from all of this.

 

Chie was laying down as she talked with Yu about this. "No Yu, you have done the best you can do. We just need to do again like old times. All of your actions and decision you make is the right thing to do. Besides, remember that what's important is the current state of being; what's matter is now. We need to get to the bottom of it and find the culprit this time around." Chie said over the phone.

 

"We'll begin the search tomorrow. I already informed Yukio and she said she could come also." Chie added.

Yu nodded along as he heard Chie's little pep talk. He had to admit, it did him some good. Having someone, friends, to remind you of your goals and to keep you in line when your mind starts to wander down the wrong path can do you alot of good... "Yeah... you're right Chie." He said, sitting up abit straighter, smiling lightly. "Sorry I became a downer there for a minute... don't know what got over me... " When she informed him of her already talking to Yukiko, he nodded. "Alright... I`ll call Naoto. We won't be able to start the search until she and Kanji are out of school, but..." he shrugged. "Maybe you can come by and talk to Dojima about that reccomendation in the morning, unless you wanted to wait... anyway, I`ll see you tomorrow Chie. Goodnight... thanks again." He said, hanging up his phone. He called Naoto, and ended up leaving a quick message, before changing into his sleepwear, and allowing himself to fall asleep.

Thanks to Chie, Yu felt so much better from her comfort. Chie felt a relieve of cheering him up. He said that if they wanted to go search they must wait until after school, where Naoto and Kanji are free. We could use their help. Their teamwork will be helpful. He also reminded Chie about the recommendatio  with Dojima. but lately Chie always woke up late, which means she might have to visit Dojima at his office. Oh well, let's try that anyway tomorrow.

 

"Okay. See you tomorrow Yu. Goodnight." Chie said as she hung up. She turned off the lights and went to sleep.

Next day, Wednesday, Weather calls for cloudy skies with some storms later in the week, April 15th

Sekel yawned as he woke up. He stretched and got himself ready for school. Looking inside his closet, he remembered being trained in the use of a dagger although he doesn't think it would be much help in the TV World. Shrugging his shoulder, he took it anyway and hid it in the sleeve of his school blazer, point facing up, inside a sheathe.

 

Yosuke woke up and rubbed his eyes. Teddy sauntered into the room with a towel wrapped around his waist. "Can you please put some clothes on Teddy?" Yosuke said as he tiredly waved to Teddy. Teddy blinked and looked down, apparent shock on his face. He quickly ran to his room and put his usual attire on.

 

"Yosuke, do you think the two new members will be fine in the TV World?" Teddy asked concernedly.

 

Yosuke looked up and he just nodded. Changing into his work clothes, he headed off for work and left Teddy to do whatever it is that Teddy does during the day. Probably something along the lines of thinking about Yukiko and Chie.

Mariku called his parents and had them call him in sick. Once he hung up he grabbed the two blacksteel katanas from under his bed and waited for it to start raining. "I'm going to make sure I get her out" He said as he entered the TV world and landed. "I'm not going to fall to some fake look a like" Mariku said

 

Naoto woke up and looked outside. "I guess today we are checking out the TV world today" Naoto said as she got dressed and headed to school.

Yu woke up and glanced out the window, staring up at the cloudy skies above... an endless ocean of those puffy white skies spread out before him like a ceiling for the little town, only stay sunbeams reaching through. Considering the towns local 'weather lady' was gone, it seemed fitting. He closed his window and get ready for the day, washing himself, brushing his teeth, getting dressed. He had no idea  what he was going to do for the day until school came out... he wondered if his Persona Deck was still viable. He didn't get it... they'd gotten Marie from the TV world already, so what was this?

 

Kanji got up, muttering to himself as he rubbed his head... aw man.... well, atleast they would be doing something! If they got lucky, they could save Marie today, she'd barely have spent the night in there! He got up and after getting ready and eating a sparse breakfast, he began the walk towards school. On his way, he spotted one of the kids from the day before...

"Hey, you!" He said, running up to him on the road towards the school. "Sekel, right? Look, the rest of us are going into to TV once school lets out... if you're going, you should meet with us at Junes. But don't think about going in there alone! That could be a death trap."

Sekel looked up and towards the source of the voice when he heard his name. "Me? I wasn't thinking about going in there alone. No way. It was scary enough with just me and Mariku. I'll swing by Junes." Sekel agreed to what Kanji said. He held the right sleeve if his blazer tightly, lest the dagger should fall out.

It was 9 AM. Chie was somehow drooling while sleeping. When she woke up, she felt so tired, that she wanted to go to sleep again. She can do that, since Kanji and Naoto would be available to save Marie right after school, it would be 5 hours from now, more or less. But then, she remembered her plan to meet Dojima to get a recommendation, so she can join the police force. She snapped and jumped out of the bed, forgotting the drool she made. She took a shower and wear a white t-shirt, her favorite green jacket that she used since high school, which still fit in her body and wore a pair of jeans. 

 

She set out to meet Dojima. 'I hope he's still at his house, if not, then I have to came to the police station. Better get going!' Chie thought.

Yukiko woke up early as usual, embracing the day managing Amagi Inn. Hopefully, everything can turn out all right, so that she can do the investigation with her friends. The midnight channel's return still shocked her up to now, since everything has been resolved years ago. By the fact that the channel had appeared again years later, it must be concluded that the matter has not yet been resolved completely. Her fiery passion to finish the investigation rose once again, making her more determined than usual. She just hope everything turned out alright.

Yu sat in his room, typeing into his computer. Since he didn't have anything better to do, he was making sure everything was all set up for his college courses. After all, a small town like Inaba didn't have much in the way of universities, so he was going to take his classes online while he was staying in Inaba. He figured it worked out preety well and, with how successful he'd been in highschool, he had an easy time with entrance exams. 

 

At around 9, he finally closed his laptop and went downstairs to eat. He spoke with Nanako and Dojima as he did, trying to decide what to do next. He supposed he should go around town and see other people... Shu... Daisuke and Kou... 

 

Dojima has just gotten up to get a cup of coffee when there was a knock at the door, raising an eyebrow. "Huh. Wonder who that is..." the detective mumbled, walking to the door and opening it to find a familiar young woman with a green jacket on. "Oh, hey, it's you." he said with a friendly smile, "I`m guessing you're here to see Yu."

Kanji nodded at Sekel as he spoke. "Good to hear." He said simply. "Alright, I`ll see you then... just remember, if you don't want to do this, none of us will, y'know, judge you or anything. Oh, bring a weapon too. It doesn't have to be anything fancy but, y'know, kinda recommend it."

Sekel looked straight ahead as he listened to Kanji. He out his hand in his pocket and nodded. "Don't worry. I've got a weapon. I'll bring it by after school." Sekel told him. He made it to school and headed inside to his first class.

 

Yosuke walked around the tables, trying to get what everyone ordered to the correct person.

 

(What does Yosuke do again? So far, I've been having him do random jobs around Junes.)

Naoto was ready to go back into the TV world once again. Hopefully this time they can end this threat once and for all.

 

 

Meanwhile Mariku walked through the TV world surprised with how quiet it is. Though he was going to where the cursed circus is at he knew what was in store for.

Chie arrived at Dojima's residence. She knocked on the door and who opened the door is quite surprising. It's Dojima himself. He thought Chie's visit is to meet Yu but it's the otherwise.

 

"Actually, I'm here to see you, Mr. Dojima. You see, I've been applying to join the police force, but up to now, they haven't send me any feedback. So, uh, I was wondering if you could give me a recommendation so that I could join the police quick?" Chie said to Mr Dojima, smiling as she ended her question

"Huh? Someone actually here to see me?" Dojima said with a small smile, "Heh. This is a first." He joked before hearing Chie speak. Dojima heard her request and scratched his chin abit. "Well... I mean, I really shouldn't. It'd be unprofessional and all..." he muttered,looking at the ceiling.After a moment though, he looked down at the young lady with a smirk, "But hey, I suppose I do have some pull down at the station. I`ll see what I can do to get the paper work moving, but hey!" he said, his voice suddenly becoming authoritative, "I`m gonna be putting you through the wringer on this! If I do this, i`m going to be overseeing your training personally! And don't expect any special treatment just because you're friends with my nephew!"

 

 

Once he finished though, he gained his usual, calm demeanor. "Anyway, we were just having lunch... would you like to join us? I`m sure you and Yu have alot of catching up to do..." he paused a moment, his tone suddenly becoming stern yet again, "Down... here. Not in his room." Yu, not too far away, blinked... taking a moment to understand Dojima's implications and suddenly blushing for it. "Huh?" Said Nanako, looking confused, "Why is your face red, Big Bro? And why do they have to stay down here?"

Chie smiled as Dojima wanted to help her. But then, Dojima will be keeping a close eyes on Chie. It would be fine for Chie. She got what it takes to be a cop. "It's a deal, Mr. Dojima." Chie said.

 

Then an awkward moment ensues. Dojima invited Chie for lunch but they wanted to keep it down at the living room, not in Yu's room. From afar, she could saw Yu blushing. Of course, Chie also blushed. "It's okay! It's okay! I'll join the lunch with you guys." Chie said after processing Dojima's sentence. Chie entered the house and sat with the family. She needs to cool down the tension among the family, making it less awkward. 

 

Come on Chie. Think of something. We need to break the ice. Chie thought. She remembered she hasn't talked to Nanako for a while. "Oh, Nanako. How's the school coming along?" Chie asked Nanako.

Dojima nodded,smiling lightly as his expression softened and he let Chie inside. "It's not much, but luckily with Yu around, Nanako wanted to make sure we made enough, so there should be extra." He sat down while Yu allowed his face to settle. Well, that was embarrassing... he imagined that it must've been for Chie as well, giving her an apologetic look as she came inside. At Nanako's questions, Dojima quickly responded, "Well, it wouldn't be fair for them to go up and not spend time with you, Nanako." The ageing detective covering his tracks rather well.

 

After a few awkward minutes of eating, Chie managed to break the ice, procuring a small smile from the girl for her trouble. "Oh, it's going great! We're learning about the Namakura Period." She said, beaming. Yu, decideing to jump on this conversation topic, added in, "And how are piano lessons?" 

 

"Great!" The young girl said, smiling brightly. "I`ll have to play for you and your friends sometime, big bro!"

Kanji spent the time at school bored out of his skull, yet again. He tried to focus, but his thoughts were still clouded by the midnight channels return... during the lunch period, he tried to look for that Mariku kid, but had no such luck. Evidently, he'd been called in sick.

Yu helped Chie in cooling the mood by asking Nanako some question. Yu asked about her piano lessons. Chie remembered that Nanako began playing piano shortly before Yu went back to the city. She must've improved a lot by now.  Nanako suggested that she played for Chie and her friends, the whole group. "I would love to see you play the piano, Nanako." Chie exclaimed. "Say, we're planning to have a party celebrating Yu's return to this town. Maybe you could play the piano for us during that time." Chie suggested.

"Really!?" Nanako said, clearly surprised by the suggestion. "Can I? Can I really?" the young girl's excitement becoming all the more obvious by the second, looking to both her father and Yu for permission. It was Dojima that awnsered first. "Another party, huh? I`m guessing you guys are planning on having it here..." he had a small smirk, both from what he was about to say next and from the secret him and Yu were hiding pertaining to the situation, "Y'know, atleast i`m getting a warning that you guys are planning to throw a party here this time... usually I just walk in to find it already going on." He joked, before looking at Nanako. "Of course you can, if they're okay with it... might have to rent the piano from your classes, but... we`ll see what we can do."

 

Yu nodded simply. "I`m sure everyone would love to hear you play Nanako." The little girl beamed brightly, seemingly trying to decide what to play for every one. After finishing thier meal, Yu glanced at the clock. "School should be out..." he looked at Chie, and then back to Dojima, "Me and Chie are going to go... you know, see the others..." he said, the aging detective giving a light nod and sayiing goodbye, along with Nanako. During the walk, Yu was silent for a time. After a minute though, he suddenly muttered, "Weird what Dojima said..." he muttered a little awkwardly, his face growing red again. "Can you even imagine us like that?" he said, playing off the idea of the two of them dating with a chuckle, though it sounded nervous.

Chie had fun eating with Yu's family, as well as getting approval to celebrates Yu's return at Yu's house. Nanako is also very happy since she gets to play piano for the group. It is sure to be fun to hear her playing.

 

The school's already out, which means that Naoto and Kanji would on their way now to Junes. So, Yu gave a sign to Mr. Dojima and Nanako that we should go and meet the others. As they walked to their destination, Yu broke the silence, talking about Dojima making an awkward moment for both of them. She saw Yu's face getting red again. "Yeah... Hahahaha... I mean, Mr. Dojima must've thought of something weird..." Chie said, blushing at the last part. Chie began to wonder if she and Yu are on the same train of thought.

"Yeah... he must have... heh.. heh..." he said, giving another awkward chuckle, rubbing the back of his head nervously as they walked to the Junes. "Sorry about that... don't know why Dojima would think you and I would be... um... y'know." He muttered.Erg, he shouldn't have brought it up again... he was just making things awkward between them, and that was the last thing he wanted. Why had Dojima even done that? What, was he the new Mr. Morroka, assumeing they were a couple of hormonal kids? He tried not to think about it as they walked, arriveing at the store not too long after... he hoped his face had atleast stopped being red. 

 

Kanji, of course, dashed of to Junes the minute school was out. He'd tried to find the other kid, but from what a couple of students from his class told him, he'd been called in sick... suspicious...

Sekel raced after Kanji as soon as school was out. Mariku didn't show up today.Weird. He caught up to Kanji and asked him something. "Where's Naoto? Was she at school today?" Sekel asked him.

 

"Hey you three. How are you?" Yosuke asked. He had finished his work for the day and was now ready to head into the TV. He waved over to Teddy, Yu and Chie.

 

"I'm good." Teddy replied.

 

"Hey, where's Kanji, Naoto and those two kids?" Yosuke asked curiously.

"Oh, uh, good." Yeah, good.Great. He chose, perhaps wisely, not to mention what had happened with Dojima to either Yosuke or Teddy. He was certain they'd just tease him and Chie over it. When the line of discussion came to Kanji, he shrugged. "Well, they have to walk from school... i`m certain they'll be here soon. " he raised an eyebrow at Yosuke though, "Did you seriously keep weapons under your clothes? All day? While working?" it seemed abit odd... what if it had slipped out? Not that he was one to judge... it'd always be a secret how he hid his swords under his clothes... 

 

Kanji turned as the student jogged up next to him, slowing down to accommodate. "Yeah, she was. I`m sure she`ll catch up... she wouldn't miss this for the world." he knew she wouldn't let them down. She never had. As they walked, he glanced at Sekel again, "I noticed Mariku wasn't here today... kinda weird... think he went into the TV...?"  he hoped not... he'd have to be a pretty big idiot...

Mariku sighed as he approached the circus from a far. "Aside from this place being completely empty....A circus kinda livens the place up a bit" Mariku said to himself as he waited. "Should I really head in...or should I wait" Mariku asked himself as he looked at the two katanas he had.
