Grumpy Enchantress 587 March 11, 2014 Share March 11, 2014 But wasn't she involved in it somehow? Yeah but I wouldn't hold it against her for writing a few episodes or marrying the creator.

Are you saying that the Powerpuffs TV show and movie was well written? Beautiful, Stylish, Fabulous AND evil! What more could you want? (Thanks Kyoshi for letting everyone use your sigs!) Grumpy Enchantress 587 March 11, 2014 Share March 11, 2014 Are you saying that the Powerpuffs TV show and movie was well written? I'm not saying anything about the show itself or its writing, just that you can't really determine if someone is a talented showrunner based off a different show they didn't create or produce but happened to write a few episodes of. Even if you're a great writer you have to stick to it being an episode of the show itself and if you just hate the characters, setting, concept, and such, you're not going to get into even an episode by the best writer.
Henny Penny Benny 936 March 11, 2014 Share March 11, 2014 I do think the show has gotten better since she left, but not necessarily because she left. The entirety of the first season had to lay a lot of groundwork for the show to build on, but later seasons had that groundwork already there, so they were able to do much more interesting and engaging things with the characters and stories. Also, as the brony fandom has gained more public attention, I think the writers have done a fair bit of pandering to us, albeit usually subtly, and that does make the show a weensy bit more enjoyable to me. Although even if they didn't do that, I'd still love it.
Callisto 1,877 March 11, 2014 Share March 11, 2014 Personally, I think the show was better when she was around, but I don't think it getting worse was because she left. Season 1 is my favorite season, and 2 is very close behind. 3 was iffy, with a few great episodes, and Season 4's been mixed so far. But that's just my opinion. I think it's gotten less good because the show tried to become too zany; seasons 1 and 2 were much simpler and more enjoyable to me. I like the new seasons; just not as much. Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?

Creamy Arty 6,252 March 14, 2014 Share March 14, 2014 Not really. Nor do I think it's been in a state of decline. Perhaps it's diverged in a drastically different direction for the most part, but I wouldn't necessarily equate that with a change in quality. Kyoshi made this ^^ Come join us on Equestria.tv on Fridays at 6 PM Eastern for our weekly movie nights!
The Coffee Pony 1,390 March 14, 2014 Share March 14, 2014 (edited) Are you saying that the Powerpuffs TV show and movie was well written? I think it was. It was also very fun IMO. Anyway, yeah I do the show's gotten better, I wouldn't say it's because Lauren Faust left though. Edited March 14, 2014 by The Coffee Man
