Rush nodded. "Well, he told me his name was Alan Smithee, but I'm pretty sure he's full of crap sir, if you'll excuse my language. As for where he is now, I couldn't say. He just told me he'd be back in the morning. If I had to guess, I'd say he's probably up to no good, sir. He's a real rotten type sir, as I mentioned before. I'll see that he reports to you and faces punishment as soon as he shows up, though."

The teacher was at loss for ways he could call the boy out. He rolled his eyes and unlocked the dorm, "I'll look into it." He muttered, not waning to deal with this at 1am in the morning, "Lights out, understood?" He stomped away muttering something about stupid kids.

 

 

 

She groaned and rubbed her eyes. One moment she was with Rush and the next she's discussing fan-fiction. Whisper yawned before answering "Depends which Doctor we're talking about...did I miss anything?"   She stood and closed the door to their room and shuffling over to her closet.

"David Tannant doctor" Katie responded rapidly typing, "And ya, you missed some, Minx had another Heart attack, and I got a free gameboy.

As soon as the teacher was gone, Rush's face opened into a goofy grin. That wasn't even a very good excuse, and it still worked. For now, anyway. He might have to make up something to cover the Alan Smithee thing eventually, though. What was important was that he had once again confirmed his theory that if you stuck to your lie adamantly enough, it was bound to work out eventually.

"Oh! Is Minx okay? I remember her going to the hospital but that's about it..." she said as she got dressed into her pajamas. It was funny to her that she did these everyday things like they were nothing when she had just been in a computer program.

"I feel better thanks..."she sat and began brushing her hair. "Boyfriend? You mean Rush...?"

 

After finishing with her hair, Whisper cleaned up a little before sliding back under her covers.

 

"He's not my boyfriend, Katie. I like him but...you know we just met and he's just too...hot"

"I'm sorry, what was that last word?" Katie teased, "You know he's totally into you right? He stayed by your bedside 24/7, it was actually kinda creepy, but sweet, maybe sweepy creet...adorafying possibly." She yawned, "But regardless, I honestly think he likes you!" Her Gameboy played victorious tunes as she caught another Pokemon, "Yes! Caught one! I shall name you Rose!" She yawned again, maybe she needed more caffeine. @@RunsWithSquirlz,

Whisper giggled sleepily "I know he likes girls and I know they like him too..." yet she smiled. Staying with her through her hangover pulled at her heart strings but she quickly quelled them. Whisper yawned and snuggled herself deep within her sheets "I'm gonna sleep a lil' more...good night Katie".

"Night night whisper" Katie said putting down hr gameboy and letting the darkness and peacefulness of sleep overtake her, hoping her dreams wouldn't be too bad.

 

As the teacher tromped away from Rush's room he decided to do a sweep of the grounds to be sure all the kids were in bed where they belonged, he found a boy passed out on the lawn and scowled, damn kids taking naps on the grounds. The teacher stood over the kid, "Wake up! You're supposed to be in bed!" He bellowed. @@Suitaloo,

"Sorry, Cissy. I'm going to be staying at Jeremy's for a few days. You know how Einstein is. Great. Glad you understand. Catch up with you in a few days. Bye. Oh? I love you too. Bye." Odd closed his phone and sighed. He sat astride his motorcycle and was thinking about heading to the factory for old times sake.

 

Finally deciding yes, he turned his motorcycle around and went back to the factory. Grinning when he saw Jeremy's car there, he hopped off the motorcycle and went into the elevator. After stopping at the supercomputer floor, he got out and silently watched Jeremy working on something.

 

Eventually growing tired, Odd sat against the wall and closed his eyes to sleep.

Aelita had long moved on from the old days of Xana attacks and returns to the past, but against her better judgement she had decided to go back to the factory, just for old times sake and maybe to examine the computer and try to figure out exactly how Xana came back. She pulled up her car around back and was not surprised to see Jeremy's car and Odds motorcycle, she sighed, smiled, and went into the factory to say hello to her old friends. @,

Alphonse fell off the bench and bumped his head on the ground after the teacher gave him a rude awakening. "Oww...." He moaned. "Didja have to wake me up like that?" He asked, rubbing his head. "Fine, fine, what time is it?" Alphonse stood up and rubbed his eyes. He couldn't really tell the time just because of the thick trees above them, obscuring the sunlight, or moonlight, he couldn't tell which.

Jeremy didn't hear the elevator when Odd came down as he was busy making a program for the kids who went to Lyoko. He did hear the elevator the second time though. He turned around in his chair and saw Aelita stepping out. Jeremy turned around some more, and to his surprise, found Odd sleeping against the wall. "Hi Aelita. What brings you back here?" Jeremy made an effort to keep his voice quiet, for Odd's sake.

"Oh nothing." Aelita gave Jeremy a remembering smile, she hugged Jeremy and sat next to him in the computer chair, leaning her head on his shoulder, "so, what's the deal with Xana coming back? Found anything out yet." She kept her voice gentle in attempt not to wake Odd up. @,

Jeremy rubbed his eyes before answering. "No, I haven't found out anything. I've been working on a new program, errr, mini-sector. It's for the kids who we helped last time. I figured it would be good for them to know how to use their powers by fighting against each other in a tournament-style battle arena." Jeremy explained to Aelita.

"Hmm, sounds like a good idea, don't put it too close to the virtual sea. We should be trying to figure out how Xana even got back in the first place." Aelita crossed her legs and couldn't help but remember the old days, hours spent sitting in this very room, fighting for her friends and the world, time wasted, time restored, time theorizing and planning. She had never thought she would be back again, in this room, her friends nearby. Life was funny like that, time and memories repeating themselves. History running in circles, feelings sired and emotions rattled, the same ones time and time again. She couldn't help but remember her father, the first time she had saw the place, uncertainty and fear, the same as now running for her life from the men in black, only now they were running from her. She remembered the second time she was in the factory, right after she was brought back. She had still a crush on Jeremy back then, and was overjoyed that finally she could touch him, see him, feel him, but over the years the two had drifted apart. Now here they were, adults, doing what in their hearts they always known they would end up doing, repeating themselves.

 

She leaned on Jeremy's shoulder wondering if just maybe, emotions were repeating too.

He smelled the sour smell of alcohol on the kid, uhg, a drunk, that made his job tougher, but he didn't want to deal with that right now, "If I catch you out this late again, it will be detention, understand? Now get o your dorm!"

"We need to figure out how XANA returned. I know that. But we need a competent team even more to help us fight him again because just us three isn't going to be enough. We also need to reconfigure the Skid to accommodate for everyone. Ànd new vehicles. We've got our work cut out for us, that is, if you want to help me." Jeremy told her. He leant his head against the back of his chair and closed his eyes for a bit.

"Alright, alright, I'm going." Alphonse said, rubbing his head. He didn't even remember when he had taken a nap. He didn't even drink at all today! 'Lyoko must really drain your energy, seriously.' He thought. He just wandered back up to his room and went back to bed. He still had no idea how he was able to sleep so long.

Aelita gave a tired smile at Jeremy, he had grown his hair out a bit and had become several inches taller than he used to be. But he was still the cute scrawny dork he had always been. She gave a little chuckle and wondered if he found having his ex this close to him uncomfortable, he didn't seem to. "So," Aelita asked him typing a few commands into the computer, "what have you been up to all these years? Wife and kids?" She had a sneaking suspicion he was still single, but had to ask anyway. @,

"No. No family here. I've been studying at the university for a course in quantum physics. What about you? Are you and William together?" Jeremy inquired. His eyes were still closed but it didn't mean he couldn't listen and talk at the same time. "You've grown your hair out. It looks nice." He commented.

Dex hung up after the call went to Arti's voicemail. He figured he'd just try again later. Dex looked at his watch and was surprised by the time. "Wow, didn't realize it was this late." He thought to himself. It didn't really matter to him though, he hardly slept long anyway, but he saw some kid get sent to his room from across the courtyard and didn't want that to happen to him. So Dex left to his room, continuing to tweak his new program.

Aelita blushed, "me and William? No. He uh, doesn't really like me that way, or any girl for that matter. He helps me with my missions most of the time, but he is way more of a brother to me than anything else. Besides, he has a girlfriend, long term relationship, they're getting married next month. I'll send you an invite." She fiddled with her hair, then typed some more commands, "You know, I never thought I'd be back here, it's just like when we were kids. I think I kinda miss the old days, it was so much fun back then." She snuggled up a little closer to the man beside her closing her eyes and taking in the familiar situation.  She really did miss this. "I mean I can't say life has been boring," she near whispered, "for me at least. Sneaking into military bases, midnight dinners on rooftops with shady characters, but, I do miss this, friendship and love. It's not something I indulge in often." She wrapped her fingers around his. @,

Jeremy smiled. "I think an invite would be nice. To be honest, I miss the old days as well. It was such an adrenaline rush that I think I missed a few years of school because of XANA alone." Jeremy said. He felt Aelita twine her fingers with his and in response, he held her hand tighter. "I've been working on this all night. I think I'm just going to rest here for a while." Jeremy said. His breathing lightened and began to get slower as he drifted to sleep.

Aelita smiled, snuggling closer still, "Ya, me too." She began to drift off to sleep, holding on to Jeremy's hand, just enjoying his company and remembering the old days of fun adventure and love. "Good night." she whispered letting sleep take her and dreaming vividly about the good times the two had shared. Now, more than ever, she was thankful she wasn't spending another night without Jeremy by her side.

 

 

The sun was bright on Katie's face the following morning. She stretched, yawned, and then rolled over and fell off the top bunk onto the floor. "Ow!" she moaned. She had forgotten that now she was sleeping on an elevated twin sized bunk. She wondered if the crash had woken Whisper as she scraped herself off the floor. Then her phone started ringing, the ring tone set to the noise of the tardis. Shit! She climbed back up the bed and began frantically searching the covers for the phone, she found it, than dropped it, the batteries flying out the back. Annoyed she resorted to curling up in a ball and seething. Hell of a way to start the morning. @@RunsWithSquirlz,

The phone and battery popped over the side of the bed "Are you okay? Do you wake up like this most mornings?". Whisper gathered her things for the showers and draped a towel over her shoulder. She was in a good mood today, something she couldn't quite her fingers on as to why exactly.

 

"Gonna hit the showers or...?"
