Katie finished her seething, "Ya, I could use a shower, but I'll wait until I have a proper change of clothes, my aunt and uncle are stopping by with my stuff today, and I don't smell that bad." She sniffed herself, "Ok, maybe I do. Uhg I hope they get here soon. If not I might just have to take a shower anyway and go to classes in a towel." Rush woke up a bit earlier than usual, hoping he'd get a chance to talk to some of the others before class. Even having woken up early though, he was surprised to see that he was the first person to hit the showers. At this rate, he might actually start being on time for things. Well, not really. He quickly got dressed and headed down towards Katie and Whisper's dorm, hoping to catch them before they left and assure them that he'd taken care of the situation the night before. He arrived in front of their room, knocking on the door gently.

BANG! That was the sound of Odd banging his head against the floor. During his sleep, he had somehow slumped to the side and went wham. "Oww. Not how I usually wake up." Odd muttered.

 

Jeremy opened his eyes and yawned slightly. He untwined his fingers from Aelita's and gently shook her. "Morning Aelita. And it appears our resident cat has woken up." He said a bit loudly to catch Odd's attention. Odd just chuckled.

 

 

Minx slowly woke up amd saw, to her disappointment, that she was still in the ICU. "Hopefully I get moved today." Minx muttered to herself. The nurse looking after her heard that.

 

"Don't worry. You'll get moved today and then after tomorrow's observation, you'll be back to school in no time." The nurse said kindly.

Aelita blinked and found herself half awake reaching for Jeremy's hand. "We have a cat?" She muttered sleepily, then she realized what Jeremy was talking about, or rather who. "Oh, well just because Odd's awake doesn't mean I have to be. Less than half awake now, she cuddled back into the chair and closed her eyes tight. @,

Katie waved at Alex from her bunk, "Hey dude, how did you sleep?" She climbed off the bed and collected the pieces of her phone getting ready to call back whoever was trying to contact her.@@Alex Kennedy,@@RunsWithSquirlz,

Rush shrugged. "Not great. But I'll manage. I just wanted to catch you so I could tell you as soon as possible that I took care of the situation last night, and I'm really sorry for putting you two in a position where you could have gotten in a lot of trouble. But it shouldn't be too much of an issue now, and if anyone gets in trouble for it, I'll see that it's only me.

Odd got up off the floor and stretched. "Why am I a cat again?" Odd asked sleepily. That whack to the head may have woken him up but he was still tired.

 

"Because of your Lyoko form." Jeremy said. He moved his free arm and slowly typed in a few commands on the computer to resume working on the Battle Arena.

 

"Oh yeah. I promised Minx I'd see her today. I'll catch you guys later." Odd waved to the two lovebirds and headed up the elevator to his motorcycle.

"I don't mind a little trouble." Katie shrugged shoving the batteries into her phone. She waited for the thing to power back on, then she looked at her missed calls, it was her aunt.

 

She dialed the number and held up one finger to ask for the others to excuse her. Then she walked over to the window and waited, the other line picked up almost immediately. "Hey honey," her aunt said, "Me and your uncle are almost to the school, we have your things."

 

"Thank you!" She turned to the others, "I'll be right back!" She ran for the exit, excited to have a new pair of clothes.

Minx's phone began to vibrate. She slowly reached into her hair and pulled it out. It was a wonder how the doctors didn't find it. "Hello?" She said. "Mum!? I'm great." She lied. Her mum thankfully believed her. "Your almost at the school and dropping my things off .... okay. Bye." Minx hung up and stayed lying in bed. "They're dropping my things off and I won't be there to greet them. Now what do I do?" Minx asked herself.

Whisper suddenly felt awkward and shy now that Katie left her. She flushed a bright red and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear "Thank you Rush...for last night..."she smiled up at him before giving him a good morning hug.

Rush smiled and hugged her back. "Don't mention it. I couldn't just abandon you. I trust you're feeling better today, though? I wouldn't want you missing your first day of class. And actually, there is one other thing I was hoping to ask you." He blushed, feeling far more awkward than he was used to. "I thought maybe, if you weren't busy or anything, you might want to go out to dinner with me tonight?"

Katie stood on the curb tapping her foot with anticipation, looking for her uncles car. Several other cars were pulling up, parents dropping off their kids stuff and giving goodbye hugs. But Her uncles van was nowhere to be seen. She observed her clothes, she wore her blue dress still, but a slightly baggy Kadic school sweat shirt had been pulled over the top half to make the dress look more like a skirt. The blue high heels she had worn most of the previous day had been shed in favor of barefootness. To be perfectly honest, she looked like a decent candidate for the walk of shame. Finally her uncles car pulled up, she grinned and gave her Aunt and Uncle a hug. "I'm so glad you guys made it!" she said, "Where's my stuff?"

 

Her aunt rolled her eyes amused, "Always to the point aren't you Katie?"

 

Her uncle handed her a large suitcase, than he pulled out another and a much smaller backpack. "Why don't you show us your dorm sweetie? I'll carry up some of your bags."

 

"Right," Katie said shouldering the backpack and taking hold of one of the cases, "This way then allons y!" 

 

Her aunt and uncle followed. She got to her dorm, and knocked on the door yelling out, "Hey guys if your in there I'm coming in with with my aunt and uncle! So stop kissing!"

 

"Don't tease your friends like that!" Katie's Uncle chided as the 3 walked into the door.

 

"Right right." Katie rolled her eyes, "set the bags on the top bunk then. Rush and Whisper, meet my aunt and uncle, aunt and uncle meet Rush and Whisper."

Rush scratched the back of his head awkwardly. This was hardly the best time to meet Katie's family, with Whisper not having given him an answer yet, and him getting more nervous and awkward the longer he was there. "Um... Hi there. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Shock had overcame her when Rush asked her to dinner. She wanted to say yes but good god was she scared. Opening her mouth to give him an answer she was interrupted by Katie and her Aunt and Uncle.

 

"Hi, Katies family, I'm Whisper and ummm..." she shook her toiletries "...I've got to take a shower classes start soon. Nice meeting you"

 

Whisper squeezed past Rush at the door and quickly said "iwouldlovetododinnerseeyoulaterRushimsorry"

"Oh why hello young man." Katie aunt shook Rush's hand, "I'm sorry if we're interrupting something, we'll be out of you hair here in a second."

 

Katie's uncle lugged the suitcase onto Katie's bunk than gave Katie a hug, "we'll call you later sweetie, we're going to go catch a movie at the cinema."

 

"Right then bye!" Katie said happily as the two left with a chorus of 'nice to meet yous' and 'goodbyes'.

 

"Sorry about that guys," Katie blushed at her friends, "I didn't have the time to make 2 trips, school stats in 30 minutes, I got to take a shower. She grabbed a towel and a pair of fresh clothes from her suitcase and with a second apology ran for the showers. With luck she'd just be able to make breakfast after.

Rush shook his head. "Oh, it's no trouble. It was kind of nice to meet them, if unexpected." He looked out the door to make sure they were gone before dropping his more serious tone. "But really, what we actually had been kissing or something? Well anyway, when you see her, tell Whisper that if she really does want to go out to dinner with me, I'll come back here to pick her up at six o'clock. I've got to get going now."

Katie met Whisper in the shower room and gave her a small smile, "Hey, Rush said if you want to go get dinner with him, he'll pick you up at 6. Again I am so sorry about all of that, honestly I didn't mean to scare you. Katie disrobed and made her way to a shower spigot, pushing the button and waiting a second for the cold water to heat. With slight annoyance, she realized she had forgot shampoo and settled for the soap dispenser. @@RunsWithSquirlz,

Odd parked his motorcycle in the parking lot. He took his helmet off, put it away and walked into the hospital. He ignored the still slightly shaken Maud and headed over to the ICU. "Is Minx still here?" Odd asked her nurse. She nodded and led Odd over to the bed. "Hey Minx. How ya doing?" He asked her.

 

"To be honest. I'm freaking out." She admitted.

 

"Why?"

 

"Because my parents are dropping my stuff off at Kadic and I won't be able to greet them when they get there. So I want you to get my stuff for me, figure out where my dorm is, and take my stuff there. Think you can do that?" Minx asked him. Her voice appeared to be a lot stronger than it was yesterday.

 

"Okay. I'll see what I can do." Odd sighed. Minx smiled gratefully. Odd waved to Minx, walked out, got on his motorcycle and started to drive to Kadic Academy.

Whisper stood underneath a spray of warm water smiling happily. "I didn't mind, you just caught me in the middle of a big surprise is all..." she began washing up. "I don't even have his number..."Whisper pouted.

 

She was going to meet Rush at 6 for dinner but he hadn't told her what to wear! She froze in horror at her first mistake "K-Katie? What do you wear to dinner with a guy?"

Katie thought for second, she wasn't the best in the realm of romance. "Well, I've been on a few dates in my life. I never really wore anything special, but then again the guys I have dated were all maniacs, and the date would normally end one of two places, a police car or sitting on a couch watching a harry potter marathon. Once it ended watching a harry potter marathon in a police car. For a dinner date, I suppose you should dress nicely, but not overly nicely. Like clean clothes that flatter your curves, maybe jeans and a tank top? Possibly a skirt? I think he likes you pretty well, so you don't really have to impress him, so a prom dress probably won't be all to necessary. Just be yourself." The water began to get cold and Katie turned off the spigot and dried herself. "wanna walk to breakfast with me?" @@RunsWithSquirlz,

Odd drove up to the school and sat in his seat for a moment. "Why am I even doing this?" He asked himself. He was still scrawny but at least he shot up. He got off the motorcycle and tried to figure out which ones were Minx's parents. He decided that the best option would be to ask Principal Delmas so he started walking in that direction.

Aelita yawned and woke up still sitting on the chair holding onto Jeremy's hand, she smiled at the shear sweetness of the gesture. "Hey." she grinned getting up and stretching. "thanks for hanging out with me last night. I have some things to do today, but I'll call you later if you want, maybe we can hang out with the whole group like old times! Go out for dinner possibly, and then,." Her phone rang, she answered, "Hey Will, how was your night?...Now?...Alright yes, I understand....Yes yes, I'll be there in 20 minutes." She hung up and looked a little sad, "I gotta go." she said, planting a small kiss on Jeremy's cheek and walking for the elevator. "see ya later!"

"Do you think he expects...anything?" she said while drying herself off. She was glad she had someone to talk to about this, even if they ended up in a police car. It was something.

 

"I'd love to walk to breakfast we'd better hurry before all the food gets cold!" she replied.

"Meeting up with teh group would be nice. See you later Aelita!" Jeremy said before the elevator doors closed. He kept working on the program and realised that he was halfway through with it. Grinning and shaking his head, Jeremy knew that training those kids was top priority, directly after XANA attacks.

 

 

"Principal Delmas. I need your help with something." Odd told Delmas. He had found Delmas just exiting his office.

 

"Not right now Della Robia, I need- Della Robia!? Odd!?" Delmas was shocked and surprised at seeing a former student there.

 

"Hi. I need help figuring out who Minx's parents are. The girl who had the heart attack?" Odd asked him.

 

"Right. But better make it quick. She's meant to be coming back today." Delmas told him. They went into his office and Delmas brought out a file with Minx's name on it. "Ah. Here are her parents." Delmas said. He handed the photograph for Odd to look at.

 

"Thanks. There's been a change of plan with that. She's not coming back till tomorrow. They need to keep her under observation for today." Odd told him. He was glad the principal hadn't asked what relation he was to Minx. He handed the photograph back after committing it to memory. "Thank you sir. I'll go and see her parents now." Odd then raced out of there before Delmas could say anything else. After that fiasco, Odd made his way back to the front gates via the lunchroom. He had to walk past it in order to get there.

Alphonse yawned as he woke up. No hangover, had a nice rest, he felt good.

 

He headed down to the cafeteria for breakfast and saw Odd. 'He certainly looks different in person.' He thought. 'Though, I'm not a three meter tall, 350kg panda with a mace, so I suppose it makes sense.' Alphonse walked over to Odd and said "Hey Odd, remember me? Had a drink together a few nights ago?" He asked.

"A drink ...?" Odd was stopped in his tracks when a kid asked him if he remembered drinking. "A drink a few nights ago ... Oh yeah. Now I remember you! Alphonse right? How are you?" Odd asked him. He didn't remember everyone who was on Lyoko other than his friends and now Alphonse and Minx. 'Who else was there? There seemed to be quite a lot of us there.' Odd thought to himself.
