"Who?" Katie scanned the room, not many people looked familiar at all. But she was always up to make new friends, especially if Whisper knew them.

 

"Him" she pointed to a boy sitting by himself looking like he was studying his breakfast intensely. She shuffled nervously "I think I saw him in the computer room back in the factory but I never caught his name...twice i've seen him" she whispered underneath her breath.

Katie grinned, "Oh I know him, that's Dex! I'll introduce you, I don't think he likes me much, the last time we met I kinda babbled a lot of questions at him, but I helped to save his life from evil bees so that has to count for some sort of friendship right?" She dragged Whisper across the room, than sat down, inviting Whisper to do so as well, and she leaned up to the boy who haven't paid the pair much mind and said, "Hi Dex, keeping that food in check are you? Good, maybe it will be one of the few things that doesn't try to kill us."  @@RunsWithSquirlz,  @,

Dex looked up and saw two girls. He recognized the first one as Katie, otherwise known as flame girl, or crazy bee girl. He's still working out the nickname for her. He recognized the other one from Lyoko.

 

"Hi." He said simply. He didn't really do social interaction. He stuck to watching from afar. That's probably the reason he didn't have friends, not that he wanted them in the first place. He liked being alone.

Jeremy stretched and got out of the chair. Walking around the lab, he shook his hands and legs out. He needed a stretch after sitting in that chair for so long. He heard a beeping noise and slowly made his way back to the computer. Leaning forward to look at the monitor, Jeremy pushed his glasses up and he saw that there was a minor bug in the Battle Arena program. Sitting down, he cracked his knuckles and got back to work, trying to make the Arena the best it possibly can.

 

Minx had fallen asleep again and didn't notice herself being wheeled back to the public room she was in before.

"yeah I have now that you mention it." He said, now looking at her, "I've been working on a new program, basically an add on to my Lyoko form. It should boost my power output on Lyoko but it may have some side effects. Only way to tell is to try it out on Lyoko soon."

Katie nodded, "that's cool, do you think maybe you could do something like that for me? Last time I tried to use my powers, I brought an unintentional snow storm to the desert sector. I have no idea how to control anything." She shook her head and took a bite of her sandwich , "I'm pretty much useless. I was able to slay some of the monsters last time they attacked, but honestly, I can't guarantee my powers will always work like that." She pouted for a second and popped a grape in her mouth. "what kind of 'side effects' do you think it will cause?"

Whisper sat down next to Katie and ate quietly. He seemed reluctant to speak with them but it didn't deter Katie. "My power just kicked in a random spurt, I guess I have some sort of running ability. I don't know if I have anything else" she stuck a bagel in her mouth.

"I could make something for you, but as I said, I have to make sure that the program works first. Plus, before I do anything, you may want to get a handle on your Lyoko form first. We want to avoid power overloads." Dex said as he finished his food. "I'm headed over to the supercomputer now and I need someone to virtualize me and run the program. Wanna tag along?"

Katie thought about this, first day of school or, Lyoko, school or Lyoko, hmm, she made the obvious choice, "Ya I'll tag along! Just show me how to run the virtulzation program!" she had a goofy look in her eyes, "Running off with strange boys to potentially dangerous places is kinda what I do." She wondered if Whisper was coming, or if she intended to stop Katie from ditching classes. @@RunsWithSquirlz, @,

"I'll go" Whisper volunteered "But I'll feel much better running the virtulization on the outside, I think I can handle it if you show me. Besides, Katie's powers seem more dangerous than mine"

 

To be honest, she still found herself scared of Lyoko. Whisper didn't feel brave enough to enter the program, she felt much safer on the outside where she wasn't trapped in some computer. Whisper stood up, pocketing a muffin and grabbed her school bag "So are we gonna go or what?"

Alphonse grabbed a bag and followed Odd. "I wonder if they already heard about her heart attacks from the hospital. I mean, because she's a minor, wouldn't they have to contact her parents or something?" He asked. "And where is her dorm, so we know where to drop the stuff off?"

Odd had Minx's backpack over his shoulder and he as holding her other bag. "Either they know and they've forgotten about it, which I highly doubt and if that's the case then they're just ignoring it. And I don't think Minx wanted to remind them of it." Odd said. "I don't know where her dorm is. Come on. Let's go to the main office and find out." Odd said with a sigh. He grinned and led Alphonse to the main office area.

"Alright then." He followed Odd to the main office and they found out the dorm number. They then went to the dorm to drop off Minx's things. "So, are Ulrich and Yumi an item? It was kind of obvious they aren't related, but they seemed to be really in sync in Lyoko, like only the kind that two people who know each other inside and out can be."

"Yeah, they are. They're married and already have a kid." Odd said to him. He opened the door to Minx's room and placed her suitcase and backpack on the unoccupied bed. He looked at the other one and saw that it was already in use. "Seems like someone else is already here." Odd commented.

Suddenly, the closet door was kicked open and out came a bare leg followed by the rest of the woman. She stood in her underwear with a shirt partway up her shoulder, after stretching she turned to the two intruders. "Oh man I'm still blown...forgot about my roomie f*ck" she said hazily.

 

She was obviously still drunk, only having stumbled in a few hours ago "Wai...so I have a dude? They do that now?"

Odd looked the woman up and down. "No, I'm not your roommate and neither is Alphonse. We're just dropping Minx's stuff off." Odd replied. He decided to sit on the bed and looked at her some more."You're a drunk. Alphonse is a drunk. You two will get along together." He said nonchalantly. "Think you have enough energy to talk to your roomie? She's in the hospital and I will call her if you want." He offered her.

"I'll let you guys know what to do on the way there." Dex said as he got up and got rid of his plate. "Let's go before someone catches us playing hookie." He then left the cafeteria with his bag strapped to his back.

Katie was about to say something when the warning bell rang, signaling 10 minutes to class. "Let's get going quick, we can sneak out in the crowed." She said to the others. She began moving through the mass of students finishing their breakfast and exiting the cafeteria. She had a bit of a speed advantage over the other two on the account that she was one of the few kids who wasn't lugging around a school bag, but she made sure the others kept up. Truth be told, she was nervous. She had skipped classes plenty of times before, but almost never to go to a place where death could strike at any moment. Plus she was worried about Lyoko and weather or not she could even fathom getting a hand on the powers of ice and snow.

"You're a drunk. Alphonse is a drunk. You two will get along together." He said nonchalantly.

 

"Oi, I'm a drunk right now mate. I drink man, I don't guzzle" she looked up at Alphonse "Yeah you like the stuff." Genesis had a sudden awareness she was practically naked, not really caring too much about it she finished pulling the shirt over herself and plopped down on her bed yawning.

 

 

 

"Think you have enough energy to talk to your roomie? She's in the hospital and I will call her if you want." He offered her.

 

She looked over at Odd "Wha? Call her? What for?". Genesis leaned back and mulled about something for a quick second before leaning forward towards him "What if I visit her? Since she's my roomie and all I should check her out"

"Oi! I resent that!" Alphonse argued. "And she's been having some heart attacks. But isn't it a bit early to be drinking? I mean, yeah I have a bit of trouble with the drink myself, but I wait until at least dinner. Maybe late afternoon if it's wine and it's the middle of summer and I'm with my family out in the country. And then I don't even get drunk, I just drink alcohol. Something with some cheese or whatever. But what even is your name? I don't think we got it." He asked.

Odd leaned back a bit as she leaned forward. "If you want to visit her then at least brush your teeth. Your breath stinks." He covered his nose. "You wait until dinner do you? I thought you were like ... what is your name?" Odd switched his attention back to the girl midway through. "What he said. She's had two heart attacks. One day between each. She should actually be coming back tomorrow." Odd informed her.

"You French and your cheeses" she mumbled. "I started drinking at dinner so there" she smiled at Alphonse. "Genesis Kane 'ya big lug" Genesis got up and steadied herself.  "Heart attacks. Eh, I've some experience in bringing people back from the dead so she'll survive here"

"I wasn't exactly expecting company you know. I just sit in my knickers all day long for someone to pop in on me. Obviously I still have to shower before I go see my new friend" she began depositing toiletries in a towel she had dug up.

"Obviously. Don't you two have classes? I don't mind you skipping out on them, but you still have to keep up with school." Odd said. He began to remember all the times he and his friends skipped out on classes because of a XANA attack. "Should we bring MInx a change of clothes? If she's been transferred today then I doubt that she would like being in a hospital gown." Odd questioned them.
