She shrugged and walked back to the group, answering Jeremy, "I was hoping Whisper could run it, but honestly Dex set it up so all I had to do was push a button so," She sat in the chair, "I got dis."

"Just seating arrangements and that. You're not missing out on much. If you got some more cola, I'd like some." Dart said. He laced his fingers behind his head and rested them against the wall.

Jeremy walked over to the computer and saw that the scanner program was just for a button to be pushed. "Okay then. Let's see you push the button." Jeremy smiled.

Alphonse rested his cup on the end table and leaned over the side of the bed, reaching in to his stash to grab a cola and fell on his face. "Oww...." He moaned, rubbing his head. He grabbed a cola and tossed it to his roommate. "Headsh up." He slurred, aiming for the mattress next to Dart but missing completely and hitting him in the crotch. "Woopsh. Shorry about that." He apologized, chuckling a bit, he couldn't really help it.

Dart cringed in pain as he felt the can hit his crotch. Not knowing what else to do, he froze up and fell to the side of the bed. Unfortunately, he happened to be near the foot and ended up falling to the floor. "Ahh. That hurt ...." Dart groaned. The can was still on the bed.

Jeremy walked over to the computer and saw that the scanner program was just for a button to be pushed. "Okay then. Let's see you push the button." Jeremy smiled.

Katie raised an eyebrow, was that a hint of a challenge in his voice? She could push a stupid button, no problem. She looked at the screen, and saw...a million buttons. Shit. Ok, the red one under Dex's avatar, there were 3 of those. And where was the mouse? She didn't see one! Was it a touch screen? "Uh," she blushed, "Maybe, you should do this." She moved out of the chair and offered it to Jeremy, "maybe I'm not so good with tech,"

Jeremy just laughed. "All you had to do was push the Enter button." He grinned and pushed said button. The scanning process started up. "There. He's now inside Lyoko. I just hope none of XANA's monsters notice his presence." Jeremy said worriedly. Lyoko was a dangerous plqce and if thy fall into the Digital Sea then it's game over. For good.

Katie's cheeks flared with embarrassment, but he hoped Jeremy didn't notice. "So, do you think he will be OK in there?" She said with a to cool for school expression, "I mean, besides the monsters there really isn't anything to worry about right? And when the monsters get you your just zapped back here anyway so," she shrugged, "it's kinda like a video game right?" @,

Dex saw the scanner close on him and start working. He was then virtualized on Lyoko in mid air. He remembered how he fell last time and landed on his feet. Dex then looked around, finding himself in the desert sector this time around. He threw a few punched and kicks into the air to get a better feel for his body and when he finished, he yelled out to the people at the computer. 

 

"Okay, load the program. I'm ready."

"That is true but if you fall into the Digital Sea then you can literally die in a video game." Jeremy told her. He heard Dex say something about a program to load up. "Program? What program is he talking about?" Jeremy asked.

"Man, that hurt. I knew being drunk threw your aim off but this is just ridiculous." Dart groaned. He shakily got up and sat on the edge of the bed. He felt around for the can and popped it open. Luckily the fizz had setled down before he did. He took a sip and looked over at Alphonse. "I think we're going to he good friends, you and I." Dart said triumphantly. He still fely pain but it was a dull feeling.

"That is true but if you fall into the Digital Sea then you can literally die in a video game." Jeremy told her. He heard Dex say something about a program to load up. "Program? What program is he talking about?" Jeremy asked.

"Oh, that's what he met! There should be a red button under his name that will launch the program. She told Jeremy pointing to the screen. 'Honestly sometimes I'm just plain ditsy.' she thought to herself, but she didn't let her self-annoyance show, she just kinda blushed and waited for the conversation to carry on.

"Yeah, I think sho too." Alphonse said, sitting up and raising his cup. "To a brighter future, I guessh." He took a large gulp of his drink. "I-I don't know if you could tell but I'm not *hic* usually like thish. If I drink I can generally *hic* hold my liquor. I've jusht drank a lot today."

Dart raised hia can in response and sculled about a quarter of it in one go. "Usually you hold your liqour huh? I find that hard to believe." Dart flashed him a smile.

Jeremy looked at the red circle and launched the program. "What does the program do? I've never seen a program like this." Jeremy said in confusion.

"Oi! I reshent that!" Alphonse argued. He lifted up the half dozen empty bottles of liquor that he had killed already, and the half full bottle of rum that he was still working on. "I'd like to shee shomeone elshe drink thish much booze and still be able to shtand." He demonstrated by putting his cup on the table and standing up, even though he wobbled quite a bit, he was able to stand up straight, until he stepped on one of his empty bottles and it tripped him, causing him to fall backwards and banged his head on the wall. "Ok, that wash painful. I think I'll shtay on the bed." He slurred.

He pulled out seven bottles of hard liquor, one rum, one vodka, one whiskey, one brandy, one gin, one tequila, and one absinthe. "Have at 'em. If you can *hic* shtand after drinking at leasht 6 of these, I'll... I dunno what I'd do. I'm too drunk to know what to do." He said, cracking up laughing at something only he really found funny.

"So...die as in die here in the outside world die?" Whisper asked carefully. She had been listening all along; letting the more forward Katie take the wheel. She had been paying attention up until the point where Jeremy had mentioned the Digital Sea.

"Huh I thought I read somewhere that red wine is good for the heart...oh well!" she stuck her thumbs into her belt loop. "It's gettin' later on in the evenin' chickie, I'll be heading out. See you on the morrow or just shoot a text if anything" Genesis gave Minx a quick two-finger salute and walked out the room door.

"Anyway, thanks for the food. Maybe we'll catch up when I get out tomorrow." Minx said before Genesis left. Looking at the food, she then grabbed the provided plastic fork, and began eating. She hasn't had breakfast so she was hungry.

Dart laid the bottles next to one anothervand sat down on the floor in front of them. He picked up the whisky, raised it to his lips and started to guzzle it down. Dart's throat felt like it was burning with the alcohol running down his throat but he was used to this sensation.

Katie thought about this, up until now Lyoko had seemed more of a video game challenge, a harmless place to fight monsters and build igloos, possibly even an escape from the real world. She wanted to build up her powers, take on Xanas creatures, even just dork around and have fun. But she had never played a video game where she as the player could actually die, were falling off a cliff meant more than just respawning and trying again. She still wanted to keep 'playing' but now she had to be more careful. "So," she started, "any tips for avoiding the sea? If we fall in can we be revived or is that really and truly the end of the line?"

"Any tips? Don't fall in. Make sure to not battle near the edge if you can. Once I know what vehicles you want then I'll program them and you won't have to worry about falling. That is, until they get devirtualised." Jeremy said seriously.

  Genesis squinted her eyes and looked at the time "I've got to get a uniform on and then make my way back to the ol' factory." She popped another cigarette in her mouth before asking "Think you could drop me off? If not I'll just catch a ride on me own" she shrugged.

"The old factory huh? Okay. I'll take you there." Odd said with a grin. He got up off the seat and stretched. "If you don't mind riding on the motorcycle again." He said. With that, he walked out of the hospital and over to the motorcycle. He then put his helmet on an waited for Genesis.

"Vehicles? Like cars or spaceships? We can have those?" Katie asked suddenly exited, "No way! OML can we choose our vehicles? Maybe even sketch an idea out for one? How do you program them?" Her excitement rivaled that of a sqeeish fangirl bombarding an obsession with unlimited questions. What should I choose? she thought, A TARDIS? A broomstick? A white horse? A war balloon? An airbender staff? Eep! her inner thoughts took a breath. Hmm, it would have to have something to do with ice, and it would have to look good with my dress.

Jeremy chuckled. "Yes. Maybe. Possibly. Yes. Yes. Not telling you." Jeremy crossed his arms and looked at Dex's avatar. He pulled up the camera program and moved it around Dex's avatar. "Looking good Dex." He said to himself. "If you are having a vehicle, try to have it themed to your powers or something like that. If that fails, then just think of something cool." Jeremy told them.

Katie giggled and wrapped Jeremy in an unexpected and quick hug, "You're so cool dude," she bubbled. She rushed about the factory and sought out the necessary doodling supplies, than she sat in the corner and began sketching on an old napkin with a dusty and chewed up pencil, using the ground as a surface. Designing was something in which she was confident of her powers, she started with basic lines, light and erasable. But honestly she had no idea where she was taking them. "Do you wan to draw something out too Whisper? It's fun!"

Genesis hopped on his bike and put her helmet on. When they finally pulled in to the factory parking lot, Genesis took off her helmet and shook out her hair. "Thanks. I've got some club time and don't have much time to chit-chat!" she waved back at him while running into the building.

Whisper took a piece of paper and a pen out of her backpack and sat next to Katie; brainstorming. "Yours should be something elegant looking, something silver...but for me...well I run, would I need a vehicle?"
