"Yeah, no Lyoko...ass? Wha?!" Whisper was caught like a deer in headlights, her eyes now large orbs.  She was at a complete loss for words maybe even forgot how to talk. Not really knowing what to do, she stuffed the closest food item in her mouth.

 

Remember to chew this time Whisper.

Rush chuckled. "Yes. You have a very nice one. Not fat at all. Pleasantly plump, perhaps, but in a good way. Never mind what that jerky girl from before said. But anyway, I wanted to make sure we were still going to dinner tonight. We are, right?" He looked at her pleadingly.

"?!" if ever there was a deeper shade of red well, Whisper turned it. In her panic she choked on the grapes she had chosen in her earlier one, Rush was telling her things that she had never heard before and never expected too. There was a million things rushing through her mind, she wanted to reply to Katie and agree with the idea of not mentioning Lyoko; but now she had to concentrate on not dying.

Katie grinned and leaned over to Whisper, "He totally likes you!" Katie whispered, "just say yes! You'll have fun." She rested her head on her hands and grinned, Rush and Whisper were sooo cute together! And they both really needed a time to relax away from all this Xana stuff.

Minx just listened, not really paying any attention to it. It would be good for those two to spend some time together, away from the XANA stuff.

Dart had made it to the cafeteria and looked around for anyone familiar. Spotting his roommate, he skipped the breakfast line and made a beeline straight for him. "G'day mate. I'm Dart Nymph. What's your name?" Dart asked quietly. His head was still pounding from that sudden hangover.

Katie just shrugged, "It's 'K Minx. I understand, I didn't really think about what I said before I said it." She paused and frowned, "Of coarse I know Lyoko is dangerous, it's actually a pretty scary place." She looked at Minx, worried about her. "Are you feeling OK? What did the doctors say?" @,

With the food down, Whisper patted Katie's leg and nodded. Giving her a playful glare.

She then turned to Rush and getting some sense about her, she threw her arms around his neck and hugged him. "You're okay!!! You're not burned or anything...still perfect...no I mean not perfect like you know handsome no wait you'renotuglywhatamisayingnevermind!!!". Whisper pulled back and chuckled nervously while playing with her ponytail "Ahem, yes I accept your dinner invitation."

"Other than the whole personality thing? I'm fine. Though they did say to not do any strenuous activities I doubt I'll be following that rule because of Lyoko." Minx shrugged and continued eating.

"Alphonse ...? Oh Alphonse! That's right. You're my roommate. So we travelled back in time huh? I wonder if The Doctor helped us." Dart smiled and began to laugh his head off. "I'm just messing with ya. Glad to meet you Alphonse." Dart said.

Katie grinned at Whisper before turning back to Minx, she scrunched her eyebrows in worry, "You should try to take things easy tho. I don't know what Xana has in store or when he's gonna spring, but until then try to relax. That's what I do." She shrugged and sipped at her coffee, wondering idly what the first day of school would be like.

"Alright, alright, calm down. I know it may seem a bit crazy, but I get the feeling it's going to become the norm soon enough, with how often XANA will attack." Alphonse said. He cracked open his orange juice, checked to see that the coast was clear, then pulled out a flask of vodka and poured a small amount in to the orange juice, stashed the flask, and shook the bottle to make a quick Screwdriver. "Go get some breakfast and we'll talk some more." He said.

Minx sighed and idly drew random patterns onto the table's surface. "I know I should take it easy, but it would only be for a couple of weeks then I'll be back to my old regular self." Minx said quietly.

Dart's stomach rumbled when Alphonse mentioned breakfast. "Fine, I'll get some breakfast." Dart grumbled. He wanted Alphonse to explain more but he really needed some food in his stomach right now. He got up and walked over to the breakfast line. He got some scrambled eggs and bacon as well as a bowlful of hot chocolate. He carefully balanced the tray and slowly walked back to yhe table. He set the tray down and started to eat the eggs. He gestured with his fork for Alphonse to explain further while he ate.

Katie nodded and finished off her coffee, "Well, just be careful, Imma get some more caffeine, the gods know I need it." She got up and made her way to the vending machine using the last of her pocket change to buy a cup. Then she made her way to a bench outside and sat down. The sun wasn't fully up yet and the dark morning air was kinda cold, but it was nice.

Rush just smiled and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Good to hear. And yeah, I'm alright now. That memory is probably gonna stick with me for a while, though. But if you're going to go out to dinner with me... I think that just might make everything else okay."

"I'm going to try and find my dorm. Se you two later, I guess," Minx told them. Getting up, she deposited the uneaten food and placed the tray in its proper place. She then wandered around and found the main school office. Walking in, she grabbed her timetable and got told where her dorm was. Smiling, she tightened her hold on her bag and headed in the direction of the dorms.

Once getting there, she found the correct floor and wing and then counted the doors. Stopping at the correct one, she opened it and walked in. Then closing the door, Minx placed the bag on the bed where her suitcases were and sat down on it. "Who brought my suitcases up here?" Minx wondered aloud.

The bundle of sheets on Genesis's bed shifted slightly and she poked her head out "Some weirdo Odd and this buff guy Alphonse". Genesis pulled her head back in. "Welcome to the room by the way, room especially reserved for valedictorians." she said muffled.

Minx turned and saw Genesis poke her head out for a bit before pulling it back into the bundle of sheets. "I swear the bundle of sheets just spoke ... thanks for the welcome, Genesis." Minx said dryly. She turned back to the suitcases and just pushed them under her bed. She can just pick the clothes out when she needs them. Minx got a pad and pen out of her backpack, then sat down on the bed and began to draw the new personality while trying to think up a good name for it.

Katie sipped at her coffee and watched her breath form white mist and gently float away into non-existence. There were some other kids conversing in the court yard, but she didn't want to talk with them as they seemed incredibly mundane. This moment of quiet and peace suddenly didn't seem nice, or at least as nice as it would have been a few days prior. She had gotten strangely used to the hectic weirdness of the last day or so, and suddenly the thought of just being a normal kid was weird. Anticipation stirred in her gut and she found herself tapping her foot rapidly on the floor beneath her. She was bored, incredibly so, but it wasn't normal boredom, it was annoyed boredom. Like she was waiting for the universe to start a fight with her, but for the first time ever she was more than indifferent to the fight, instead she craved it. Weird. But regardless she had to do something, maybe she should start the fight? But just as she was thinking of doing something stupid, her phone rang.

 

"Hello?" She asked.

 

"Hey Kitty Katie! Guess who got accepted into Kadic for the year?" Ben cheered into the phone, "I'll be there around 5-ish, wanna get some tacos or something for dinner? I'm buying."

 

Katie grinned and butterflies danced in her stomach, "Ben your fantastic! I soooo can't wait to see you!" The warning bell rang, 10 minutes to class, "Aww, I g2g, call you at lunch." She hung up and made her way to her first class, math.

Minx frowned. She couldn't get either of the two things she was doing right! Just as she was thinking of whether calling the new personality Autumn or Firnx, the bell rang. "Ten minutes to class. I'm going to class Genesis, possibly see you at lunch." Minx said to the bundle. She then walked out and off to her first class, creative writing.

Dart finished his meal and put everything away. "I heard the bell. I'm going to class. You can explain whatever it is that happened at lunch." Dart told Alphonse. Walking out the door, he winked to a nearby girl and went towards the Science Block for science.

At the warning bell, Whisper looked around and then turned to Rush "I don't know this school yet so...could you maybe walk me to class?". She had a light pink blush on her face, wishing she didn't embarrass so easily.

After asking 2 people directions and wondering about the halls, Katie had finally found her math class, she took a seat near the back of the class, following directions on the white board and grabbing a syllabus from a bin of documents. She snagged a pencil from a cup on the teachers desk labeled 'Spare Pens' and she began to rapidly doodle on the back of the syllabus, wondering idly if any of her friends had the same class. @@RunsWithSquirlz, @@Alex Kennedy,

Alphonse heard the bell, finished his breakfast, and kept the bottle of screwdriver for later as he disposed of the rest. He got up and headed to the Social Sciences and History wing for Sociology class. He took a seat in the classroom and leaned back in a chair, propping himself on the desk behind him, waiting for class to begin.

Rush smiled and nodded. "I'd love to. Where are you headed off to first? Oh, and before I forget, we should exchange phone numbers. You know, in case something happens between now and our dinner tonight or... I don't know, whatever else. It's just a good idea, you know?"

Five thirty PM and Ben had still not arrived at the school. Katie stood on the sidewalk by the drop off lane sporting the oh so classy ensemble of a dark green hoodie and a pair of ripped jeans. Over her shoulder was a beaten backpack with the days unfinished homework stuffed in the bottom. In her waiting, Katie had resorted to pulling out her gameboy and playing pokemon. She was wrapped up in a rather important gym battle when the device was pulled from her hands.

 

"Hey!" Katie exclaimed, "give it back you stupid prick! Oh," she realized who it was and laughed before punching him on the shoulder and taking back her game, she shoved it in her bag and hugged the boy. "Benny! OMLI missed you!"

 

"Missed you too!" he hugged back. "My moms parked over there, she said she'll take us out for food. Unless you prefer school stuff."

 

"Well it would be against the rules to leave with someone other than my parents, so...Ya, I'll go."

 

"Sweet! Mc Donald's sound good? Only the finest cuisine for my sweet Kat." He joked.

 

Katie laughed and pulled him to the car, "sounds perfect, let's go."

Rush hurried back to his room and laid everything out on his bed. 5:30, just enough time to get ready. The return to the past had actually allowed him to cut a lot of time out of his preparations, now that he knew exactly where to go and what to do. He put on his ill-fitting suit again, this time forgoing the tie, and grabbed the bouquet of flowers before heading down to Wisper and Katie's room.

He knocked on the door. "Whisper? I know I'm a bit early, but I guess I just couldn't wait. Are you ready to go?"
