At the same time that her fist connected he swung his hammer as hard as he could, straight at her head. Of course, that didn't make her punch any less painful, and it was all he could do to keep from falling to his knees as she landed another blow on his already aching private parts.

Genesis kept her mouth shut and looked away feigning interest in a feather before turning back to the fight "Ahem...Devilinx is quite saucy isn't she? But that crack in the head might've done it. Felt it from over here..."

Whisper shifted uncomfortably in her seat, switching to another finger to chew on.

Devilinx felt pain explode behind her eyes as Rush's hammer connected, sending her flying across the arena. She heard ringing in her ears and she blaerily looked at Rush. It was like she was seeing double of him. Holding her head, she got up and slowly walked over to him. "This is going to hurt me a lot more than it hurts you." Devilinx muttered and headbutted him in the head, causing a concussion blast to thunder through his skull. Devilinx held her head again after the headbutt and felt more pain than before.

Rush was launched a good fifteen feet and landed on his back, his head throbbing. He'd had about enough of this fight now, and odds are he'd just get another shot to the groin if he let it go on much longer anyway. So it was time to finish this one way or another right now. He got back back up and charged forward, putting all of his momentum into a reckless assault that would either knock her out or leave him completely open to be finished off.

"They were right about him. He can hold out." Genesis remarked slightly impressed. She shook out her finger like a lighter and leaned forward, taking a long glance at Angelinx and Katie she sighed. "I just don't like hurting you Minx, any part of you."

"That must've hurt..." Whisper mumbled, watching Devilinx fly across the arena. Whisper smiled sadly at Katie "Sorry for not talking. You did so great Katie. I like the acid snow!"

Devilinx thougt that this was getting old so she tried to step out of the way but Rush was, well, rushing towards he recklessly. She got hit and was thrown across the arena for the third time. This time she banged her head and simply glared at the virtual sky while in a massive amount of pain.

"Oh. Is that why you're so hesitant about hurting any of me? Because of what happened with Angelinx before?" Minx asked her softly. That bang doesn't look good and it definitely won't feel good when she's back on Earth.

Rush slowly walked up and stood over her. Was that it? Did he actually win? He honestly hadn't expected that to work. "Are you done now? Because I really don't want to do this anymore. I don't really like hurting my friends in the first place." He extended a hand to help her up. "Well?"

"Does it matter?" Genesis mumbled back. "C'mon just make out already!!! Use your girly wiles my dear!!!" she shouted from the stands. Genesis looked at Minx "I have another burning question though...what happens if the Inxs' like different people? do you guys fight about it?"

Minx was going to say more on the subject of Genesis not wanting to fight her but she changed her mind to try and answer Genesis's question. "Uuh, I don't really know because it hasn't happened before. I suppose that, when the time comes, we will but I have absolutely no clue on that." Minx told her. She looked towards the arena and cocked her head to the side. "What are they doing?"

Devilinx smiled and grabbed his hand. She stood up and slowly let go of it. Then she suddenly kissed him on the lips.

Rush jerked backward in shock, which, due to his injuries, caused him to stumble and fall over onto his back. He stayed there, eyes wide and mouth hanging open, for a long time. Eventually, the shock only just starting to wear off, he spoke. "What the hell?! I... you... just... what the hell?"

Devilinx shrugged. "Spur of the moment thing." She said simply. She then slowly walked off the arena and then to an empty spot in the stands. Clutching her aching head, she thought that Whisper may not be a good person to sit with right now.

 

"What? Why did she do that? She knows that Rush and Whisper are dating." Angelinx muttered, a slightly shocked look on her face.

 

Hellinx just laughed from her corner in the stands and waited to see what would happen next.

Something about what she said turned Rush's shock into a kind of indignant rage. He stormed up into the seats and grabbed her by the collar. "Don't you ever do that again. Ever. I'm not just free to be claimed by any girl who decides she wants a piece. And that spur of the moment crap? That's just insulting. Don't take it so lightly when you could have destroyed my relationship. I'm with Whisper, and I intend to stay with Whisper, and I will never cheat on a girl. I won't deny that I can be kind of a pervert sometimes, but I don't just do that. I still have honor, of a sort, and I won't stand for that. And that's saying nothing of how painful and humiliating it must be for Whisper to have to see that, especially when she already has to put up with my reputation around school. Next time you do something like that again, we'll fight for real." He let go and went to sit by Whisper.

"I'm sorry you had to see that Whisper. I don't know what her problem is, but I promise you I didn't want that. I only want you."

Devilinx kept her mouth shut during Rush's whole speech about him only being with Whisper. When she was put back down, she just crossed her arms and huffed, wisely not saying a word. She knew that he and Whisper were together, it was just her way of saying that it was a good fight.

"Oh sweetie that was wonderful! I'm so proud of you!" Genesis congratulated Devilinx. "So if I fight you I get a kiss, eh?" she added jokingly.

When the kiss happened, Whisper went into momentary shock and tensed up next to Angelinx. She watched with wet eyes and said nothing really. When Rush sat next to her she looked away; down at the arena.

Rush wrapped an arm around her shoulders and pulled her in close to his chest. For a long time, he didn't say anything. He knew it was hard enough already dating someone like him, that it wasn't fair to her. For the first time in as long as he could remember, tears began to well up in his eyes. He spoke in a gentle whisper. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry."

Katie was silent at all this. Suddenly hanging out with her friends had become a soap opera. Maybe she should speak up? Nah. It was pretty obvious that Devilinx meant nothing by it. Katie herself went through a phase where she kissed people to say thank you. Granted it was when she was five, but she still did it on the cheek here and there. Pardon her American ignorance, but wasn't it customary in France to give people kisses as a thank you, or was that just a stereotype? Eh, whatever. She twiddled her thumbs and waited for the drama to die down.

Devilinx looked at Genesis. "Maybe. We'll see." Devilinx answered seriously. She crossed her arms and looked at the arena.

"That was quite an ending." Jeremy said shockingly. He adjusted his glasses and looked at the list he had made. "Okay. Two more fights then you're all coming back to Earth.The next fight is between Genesis and ... oh no. Angelinx. I'm sorry." Jeremy said worryingly.

"You serious?" she looked at Devilinx but then she was called to fight and turned away.

 

"Christ, Jeremy!" Genesis yelled at the skies as she got up and went down to the arena. On the way, she tried to recall what was Angelinxs' ability and it came to her. She stood in the arena and sighed, crossing her arms and waiting for her opponent.

Angelinx gulped and looked nervous for a bit before walking down to the arena. "What can you do?" Angelinx asked nervously. She wasn't ready for a fight but she has to train.

 

"Come on Angelinx! You can do it!" Minx shouted from the stands.

 

Devioinx and Hellinx watched with interest. They wondered if Angelinx would actually win.

She flicked out her fingers in front of her practicing her little jets of fire. This was her first real fight too, she hadn't gotten the opportunity to train unlike the others. "Okay sweetheart....sorry about this.." she balled up her hand into a flaming fist and ran towards Angelinx.

Angelinx tensed up when Genesis ran right for her. She instantly teleported behind Genesis and kicked her hard in theback. "Don't get me worked up." Angelinx said quietly. She teleported a few metres away and waited for Genesis to come back towards her.

Genesis quickly turned, ignoring the pain in her back and threw a fireball through the air at her. She knew it would be tricky to win with Angelinxs teleporting powers but she had to have something. Something clicked in her head; what was her weapon? They all had something so far...

 

After she shot out the fireball she rolled to the side and made the fire crawl up to her shoulders.

Angelinx teleported out of the fireball's path amd waited to see what else Genesis had up her sleeve. She looked at Genesis and tried to figure out what she was doing. It looked like she had fire travelling up her arms and across her back. She gulped and wondered what was in store for her.

She grinned and burst up at her, leaving a flaming trail in her wake. Genesis was enjoying the feel of the flames and knew that they were somehow connected to her anger. That was handy. "Come on sweetheart...stop running away..." she taunted saucily at her.

Angelinx threw her arms up to protect herself but thd just ended up getting burnt. She hugged herself totry and get rid of the pain but that only just made things worse. "I told you I. Don't. Like. Fighting." Angelinx sobbed and then she suddenly vanished without reappearing anywhere.
