"Hmm, you got anything any cooler?" Darts asked, a vein pulsed on the captain's forehead. "You know on second thought I think this is just fine..." he grabbed the communicator and sheepishly joined Lumi before his captain got any angrier.

Titan looked at his own bracelet, set to follow how the shield moves so it's always hidden, and nodded in agreement as to the captain's thoughts on them. "I'll be waiting outside." He walked out of the tent and headed to the entrance to the camp, giving a friendly nod to the guards he passed.

 

(The bracelet is attatched to the shield's strap.)

The group gathered at the entrance of the camp and there stood a taller-than-average mare, clad in silver gothic plate armor. She had an air of elegance to her but at the same time, exuded the feel of a warrior spirit. She had two bodyguards beside her and the armor they wore was enough to tell that they weren't from Equestria. She noticed the group and smiles.

 

"Ah, a band of unlikely fighters save for that guard," she said and pointed at Titan. "Good to see a change of faces for once. I am Princess Theofina Serges, overseer of Coltsburg State in Germaney. It's a pleasure to meet with you all."

Darts smiled, "oh quite a pleasure, ma'am. Hey what do you say after this we go get something to drink? Just you and me." He winked.

(Been busy for the past few days but now I'm back)

 

"Really now, pegasus? Have you not heard of respect?" Princess Theofina asked and pushed Darts aside. "I'm betrothed to Germaney's crown prince and I say it would be folly to woo somepony...unavailable, especially if they're royalty."

 

The princess's bodyguard eyed at Darts.

Darts chuckled nervously "well, ummm... okay whatever you want ma'am, but if you change your mind just call me... yeah..." He backed away from the princesses accusing gaze slowly and cautiously.

Titan, who had been behind Darts, raises his shield and brings it down onto his head. "Respect her, you mongrel. Pardon my... companion... miss, he's a bit retarded, it seems."

Laughs and nudges Darts "Smooth Fly boy real smooth whats next asking Nightmare moon to marry you if it is ill pay to watch her response" Bows infront of the Princess "its an honor to meet you princess"

Darts blushed and growled at Lumi, "oh shaddup!" He grumbled and turned his head away.

Stands back and Nudges him " Come on Flyboy it was a joke dont take it so seriously" Smiles and winks

The princess smiled and said, "Good, there's nothing better than a bunch of misfits. I can't stand looking at serious faces all the time." She then turned her attention to Darts. "As for you, pegasus, I don't mind a joke but do show some respect. Else," she drew her sword and pressed the blade on Darts' neck, "I'll lop you head off."

Darts gulped :"of course, ma'am" he stepped back and tried to hide behind Lumi.

Smiles and Laughs again " Aww come on Flyboy your not scared or a mare are you?" Giggles "Dont worry i gotcha back"

"Actually," Darts whispered in Lumi's ear, "of all the things out there, mare's scare me most of all!" he said, still trying not to attract the princesses attention.

Grins "So i have the advantage? Man this gets better and better by the second" Giggles

Darts huffed, "lets just go kick some monster butt now, okay?"

"oh yeah the monster killing" Steps to the side so Darts is no longer behind her

"Eager for an adventure, are we? You, guard," the princess called out to Titan. "How much do you know about the gate nearby this camp? Any information regarding enemy troop formation or deployment?"

All of Darts embarrassment and timidness disappeared in a flash and his cocky attitude returned. He stood up straight, "why does it matter? If the other monsters were like that brute out front then we can take them easily."

Trying to hide her smile and laugh "Dont worry princess we will close the gate you can count on us"

Titan stood at attention upon being called and held his gaze at her face. "Not much, ma'am. We know there's something there. We tried sending a few scouts, but none of them ever returned so we stopped doing so since we already are low in number here. Don't need to send men to die and the like."

[Firestorm 8]

"Guess its up to us to save the day,hm?" the princess said with a smile. "You've got your gear? Good, we'll set out now. Oh, by the way, pegasus, I suppose you don't mind being a meat shield? You do seem...strong."

Darts laughed, "I could take on the world!" He ran over to the gate, "well, is anypony going to help open this thing up?"
