This is a series taking place before Equestria was made, about 2000 years ago (from actual show time.) It's about a tribe of Earth Ponies named the Zyrzaagknii (ancient Equestrian for "the Outlanders). They were a group of Earth Ponies who departed from the original 3 tribes to find new lands. They found some decent land, but they were eager to go back to Equestria. A young unicorn names Swilakghar (aE: pioneer), son of Ssaartyggk (known as Starswirl) led the ponies back to Equestria over the next century. The land and culture, by then, was flourishing, but while the Equestrians were an advanced people, the Zyrzaagknii remained relatively unchanged. The Zyrzaagknii were banished and called "outcasts". In Zyrzaagknii, all Equestrians are known as Kestaa-scum. Almost all banished from Equestria eventually joined the Zyrzaagknii. There were a number of tough trials you had to pass. You were then named Aghk (common stallion), Nesh (noble) or Pukestaa (slave). They worshipped Swilaghkar and Ssaartyggk as gods, who were to lead them to their promised land, but stopped by the Kestaa-scum. They wish to defeat all of Equestria and claim it for themselves, as their rightful home. But there are a few who wish against the ways of the Zyrzaagknii.

 

- Zyrzaagkni is my home. Do people like it? Well, if you're a Earthian noble, than yes, probably. Even commoners find it substantial. But there are legends of Equestria, illegally passed on from generation to generation. We always cannot await new arrivals; they're thieves, they're killers, they're plain scum. But we await their stories of the gleaming gold gates of Canterlot. It is the dream of everypony to go to Canterlot one day. Some, however, do not. These are the traditionalists whose family stretches back to the days of the rejection from Equestria. They worship Swilagkhar and Ssaartyggk daily, and follow their wants and needs. But everypony knows that Swilagkhar would not want this. Rebels have tried and failed to escape/revolt. I am assembling a party. Not only do I need Zyrzaagknians, I also need Equestrians as well. Thank these swift travellers, and may Swilagkhar himself aid us.
