Lightwing was teting her new flyting glasses,while waiting for two members more from the B-17 plane

"Urgh...I know that they're only missed a few minutes,bur we're on the middle of a war,and they make that???When I see them,i'll say to them a few words"

 

She started to wait again,hoping that his partners during this mission could come soon..

Embers jumped out of the car, he ran over to the airplane with his white scarf wraped around his neck, he was panting and looked over at light, he saluted her before saying "Sorry maim, embers from the 48th, sorry im late" He said, hoping she would let him off this time

Sky Cutter woke up in the cockpit with a start, as usual, he's had a weird dream.

"magic burritos, that's a new one"

 

he walks out of the cockpit half asleep to the next room of the B-17, then continues on outside of the plane, he sees Lightwing and Embers talking outside

 

"oh hey!"

She looked at him badly,but then she remembered that on this war,they would need as many soldiers as possible

"For now you're forgiven,but don't let this happen again,ok?"

"Oh hey?Do you think that's the way to talk to your superior during this mission???"

She slapped him in front of Lightwing's superiors

"We're on the middle of the war,soldier!!!So get up on this plane,and get ready to the battle!!!"

Embers nodded before jumping on the plane. He had been on other planes, but never one as big as this. He chuckled as he looked at the size of it, and at how big it was before picking out a room and dumping all of his books and random stuff there. He sat on the bed and looked around

Sky Cutter immediately snaps awake and salutes

"yes sir er ma'am er... I was addressing Embers, good morning ma'am, I'll start er' up" he scrambles back in excitedly to go start up the plane

"how many times will it take before she realizes that slapping me just wakes me up, I don't really learn anything?" he said to himself.

She entered the plane too,but two commanders were talking outside about her

"What's wrong with her?She seems to be cold as night..."

"Don"t let that first impression of her define her personality...She just wanted to ensure her position as commander of this mission,but she's very heartwarming..."

"Yeah...and that makes her weak,or..."

"She made over 50 mission through this war...she completed every mission without any death on her squadron..."

 

As the talked about her,she poked Sky

"Hey.Sorry about before,but is that i don't want any soldier to be tired and unready when the enemy planes start to attack us,ok?"

She moved to her cabin and closed the door,and then she drawn a smile in her face

"Mission number 51...i think that 51 will be my luck number...

Embers yawned as he looked around, he had not had sleep in some time, as he had just gotten back from his 12th fight. He wasnt a pilot, he was a gunner. He chuckled as he took a step out of his small room, all it was was a bed, because this was a plane. He looked around the plane

"ma'am I'd never let anyone even touch this plane let alone scratch it without an order or my OK, neither on nor off my watch."

 

Sky Cutter flipped a few switches in the cockpit as he sits down as the engines hummed to life.

 

"everything seems in order..." he then spoke clearly "READY FOR TAKE OFF!... my favorite part!"

She left again the cabin,and screamed an order to everyone

"Ok!!Everyone ready???

I don't wanna to lament any death today,so get ready to the battle!!"

The plane's motors started to roar

"Let this plane fly and soar through the skies!!!!"

The plane started to fly,and,after a while,the floor couldn't be seen

Embers looked around as he felt the plane take of. He had noticed something wrong with the door, he had just shrugged it off at the time. He sighed and shook his head as he looked out the window, then walked over, up to the cockpit. "So, what the heck is our goal this time?"

"that.... is an excellent question, whats-your-rank Lightwing, what's the mission goal?"

 

as the plane gained altitude, Sky Cutter flipped a few switches to pull the landing gear up and raise the flaps to cut some time off the climb up to 4000 meters in the sky.

She noticed that,with all the orders and actions,they didn't even knew her rank

"Oh my...sorry for that."

She put a serious face

"During this mission,i'll be your commander,so get costumed to have a woman commander.And you don't need to call me for my rank.Just call me Lightwing,or Light,as you prefer"

She looked through the windows before talking again

"Our mission is pretty simple.We need to made a recognize to all this quadrant...We'll probably end fighting,so i don't wanna anyone sleeping unless i declare a safe status.Is all understood?"

Embers nodded "Aye, but you should know that if we dont have any sleep, we wont be able to do anything such as gunning and flying, we need are sleep" He said with a laugh as he turned around and walked back over to the door before peering at the handle, he was guessing something was wrong

"oh it's about the sleep? hahaha! i was asleep because well, I kinda live on this plane, and I have no problem with a commandette, we've all had mothers haven't we? with all due respect and what-not, but anyway, just remember it's my plane, don't scratch it and we'll get along just fine, k?" he smiled with sincere yet somewhat jokey seriousness. 1000 meters

She looked at Embers

"Good observation,soldier.We need to rest as much as possible befofe the battle.But don't sleep deeply,or that error could end killing all of us"

 

 

She moved next to Sky

"Just don't make nothing to this plane.This little one has survived lots of battles,and i don't wanna to lose it today,right?"

She sat on another chair

"You should rest a while.I'll control the plane a while.I'm restrd already,so i don't need more rest,ok?"

Embers chuckled as he looked at sky and lightwing talk. He sighed as he looked at the door one more time before walking back to his room and sitting down on the bed, he fell asleep very quickly due to him being up for many hours on his last plane ride, it had been a close one

"I can't sleep above 1000 meters, it's much too exciting, and what if something goes wrong? the plane might break or something, a plane needs proper care, it's like a baby, only more important. and besides, I've had enough magic burritos." Sky Cutter realizes that the term magic burritos might seem a little odd "sorry, inside joke"

She was pleasantly surprissed with Sky Cutter's attitude

"I love to see soldiers wanting to do their job"

She picked up another control pad

"But you'll need anyways a co-pilot,or are you going to say that i can't becausd it's not exciting?"

She started to move the pad,stabilizing the plane

"At this heigh will be enought for now"

Embers walked back over to his cabon before sitting down at the desk. He grinned as he took out a bottle full of bubbling cider. He grinned as he started drinking it. He also took out some paper and a pen, and started drawing something from his mind. He had soon drunk the whole bottle

"are we bombing or are we going to be doing fancy loops that will tear our wings off? if we will not be engaging in fighter combat, then I suggest we get to 4000 so we don't get shot."

Sky Cutter sets the plane into a steady climb again, now at 2000 meters and counting.

"Why do you think that i'm flying so low?"

She pointed through the window

"On this quadrant,the enemy planes tend to act on squads,so if we fly higher than 2500,we could be on danger..."

She looked to the metter

"And at this point,we should stop going higher...and you,can't dissobey your commabder,remember..."

Embers half fell half crawled out of the chair. He looked at what he had drawin and face hoofed before crawling back over to his bed, his head half swimming as he squinted at the door, he was sure that there was something wrong with it. He grabbed his crow bar and walked over to look at it

"i'd rather get higher and face fighters than take a flak to the face, we can shoot fighters as soon as they can shoot us, flak do what they want, but orders are orders, and I am encuraged to follow them, I don't have to follow them, I could always get court marshaled. anyway I haven't talked to ember yet other than an 'oh hey'."

 

Sky Cutter walks back go go see the gunner of the mission. he stares at what Ember is drawing for a moment and then "what-cha-drawin?"

Embers walked head first into the door, his crowbar falling to his feet. He looked over at skycutter, although he looked very strange because of how much embers had drunk "Wuh huh? Oh..Sorry, I was thinking.." He stopped and looked back at the door, rubbing his head "What was I thinking?"
