"I... could run through a list of random words and see if anything triggers your memory? oh bee tee dubs you ok?" the hum of the engines was rather loud compared to the cockpit, as was the space more.... spacious. the olive green interior of the plane was familliar and inviting, at least to Sky Cutter, he didn't know about the other ponies though.

Embers shook his head and looked back down at his crowbar before picking it up and looked back over to his room "ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn  " He mudderd as he walked back over to his room, he droped the crowbar and went face first into the door

"this is our gunner? he doesn't look like he could hit the broad side of a barn, maybe a large barn but not like a medium small barn, maybe a medium medium small barn, or a small mediu- wait what?" Sky Cutter Walked over and tilted his head looking at Embers, then realizes he has been drinking a bit. "that alcohol better wear off before enemy fighters show up, I will not have this plane get holes poked in it."

Embers head rolled in a arc as he waved off times "Yeah yeah, trust me, Im good at my job, even if im drunk" He said with a laugh as he tossed his crowbar into the cockpit "You might wanna check your door, there is something wrong with it" He mudderd as he steped into his room

"glad to know you care enough to report a problem" Sky Cutter smiled, "some people don't report problems that ultimately destroy everything and everyone, all they had to do was say 'oh by the way the landing gear won't go down' and maybe nothing would have gone wrong.... granted I've never been in that situation but I'm sure it's happened before."

Embers shrugged as he stumbled about in his room "Jeeze, I think I had a little to much to drink" He laughed as he fell face first onto his desk, throwing papers and drawings everywhere into his room. He sat up and looked around "Yeah, get it fixed, there is really something wrong"

Sky Cutter starts wandering around and digging through stuff to find the tools to fix the door.

"hey Lightwing! have you seen the blow torch? not the culinary one, the fixy tool one."

 

Sky Cutter continues digging around tossing random toy planes behind him.

She was still looking at the windows,while flying,until somethinf shot them from the back

"Oh no...they found us..."

She used the alarm system

"ALARM!!!ALARM!!!ALL TO YOUR POSITIONS!!!WE HAVE AN ENEMY ON OUR BACK!!!"

She started to do maneuvers,to avoid poasible damages from the enemy plane

"Come on...I need help..."

Embers sighed as he wonderd over to the top gunning place "Well, I wonder what its like to try to shoot something down while your drunk, why dont we find out embers?" He said with a laugh, talking to himself sure was fun. He checked the seat and looked down the barral

"what do you mean 'let's find out'? and I know it's an alarm.... AND THE BUCK ARE YOU DOING? DON'T make any movements to hard or you will tear the wings off! wait, you've never shot drunk?" Sky Cutter realizes what's going on "well crap, Lightwing! we need someone on engineering! dibs on flying this crate. with your permission of course."

Embers laughed as he looked over at sky cutter "Dont worry, Im really good at this" He shrugged as he looked back out the window "Trust me, I am" He squinted as he looked out the window "Huh, I dont really see any planes, are we sure that lightwing saw something?"

She heard that Embers was drunk...

"Later i'll kill you,but now...Sky Cutter!!!Take the controls!!!!I'll do the attack job!!!"

She ran as fast as possible to the guns,and started to shot to the enemy plane

"Buck...i'll never manage to do this alone...unless..."

This time,she shot to the enemy guns...

"I can't take down an enemy plane with only 1 gun,.but at least i can make them retreat.."

After a bit,she managed to break emthe enemy's guns,shich forced them to retreat.

"Phew..."

This time,she woke up,and with an angry face,she started to look for Embers

(Better run...or she'll kill you... )

Sky Cutter made his way to the cockpit with haste, he then shouted

"this is a B-17 E, there are 8 turrets, just pick one and go!"

 

Sitting down in the pilot seat he grabbed the controls and flipped a few switches

 

"flaps, where are the flaps.... oh right, derp."

 

he fliped the switch changing the flaps to something more suited for combat.

Embers fell out of his chair with a huge grin on his face. "Whaddid I tell you, im just as good as this drunk as I am not drunk" He said with a laugh as he stood up, leaning on the side of the building. He shook his head and stumbled back into his room "Well, I need to get some sleep, night guys"

Sky Cutter stared blankly in front of him "wait, that's it? that's what all that lead up to?"

he paused for a moment.

"ok, whatevs, enjoy your sleep Embers, there's a bed, well you saw it on your way in, Lightwing what about you, or is there something else on the horizon determined to blow us out of the sky?"

Embers yawned as he walked over to his door "Well, if something does come up, smack on the door untill I wake up, or just open it and smack me" He said with a laugh as he closed it then walked over to his bed, crawling in he closed his eyes and blew out the candle next to him

She was still angry with Embers,but she calmed herself

"I should talk to Embers,after all,this could have been easier if he didn't drank..."

She left the cockpit,and started to go to Embers's cabin

She kicked the door of Embers's door and looked at him

"Embers!!!How you dare to be drunk during a battle???Do you think qhat could've happened if you were the only gunner??? "

Embers glanced over at lightwing "Shaddup, I at least shot down 5 planes, so get off my flank" He said with a laugh as he sat up. He looked from his bed to lightwing and shook his head "Jeeze, hang overs suck" He said with a slight smile as he tilted his head at lightwing

"On the time that you shot dowm 5 planes,i've rescued over 50 war prissioners."

She came to the door to talk again

"I don'g negate that you have your experience,but with the time,you'll learn that your experience only is not enought.I could tell you enought stories to make an entire day pass...

 

Don't get me wrong... i don't hate you,but is just that,on my years of servixe,i could say that no one died under my command.And i don't want you to be the first."

Embers shrugged "I wouldn't mind dieing under the command of such a nice pony" He said with a laugh as he leaned to one side. Then he looked at her "Wait, so your telling me that you...Ah, never mind" He said as he fell sideways into his bed with a large smile "Anything else then?"

She sighted and then smiled at him

"Nothing more for now,soldier.But just keep yourself ready next time,ok?"

She left the cabin and headed towards the cockpit

"How's goikg the travel?;/Did you gound any enemies or planes yet?"

She looked at the window,to see the skies that she loved so much...

Embers chuckled as he fell out of bed. His head was pounding, but he had had one heck of a fun time trying to shoot down planes while he was drunk. He grabbed a apple out of his backpack and nibbled on it while looking over at his crowbar, then back over to the door

"nothing yet, clear skies, well except for the occasional cloud of course but that's about it."

Sky Cutter continued guiding the plane through the sky (with, as he said, the occasional cloud) trying to think of something to carry on a conversation.

Embers walked around the plane for a little, not really knowing what to do. He ended up walked back over to the door and sighing, seeing as skycutter had not yet been over to fix it. He shook his head and went back to his room, reading a few books about how planes worked

She looked at Sky Cutter,after he asked that question

"Well...i'm not used to answer those questions,but...i'm fine,thanks!"

She looked again at the window

"Is good that we're safe.At this rythym,we can end this mission soon,and we can go back to see all our....loved ones..."

She cried a bit,but she stopped at the moment

"Don't worry about me.How are you?"
