"Okay daddy" Serenity says as she crawls under the bed and looks for it, while she searches for it she calls out, "Daddy? Do you think that my dream of being a Princess could ever come true?" She asks with excitement.

 

Scarlet continued to scritch Sabertooth behind his ears, "Oh Sabertooth, I have got to be the luckiest mare in all of Equestria." She whispers to him.

"If you try hard enough maybe it will..." Times said as he continued to search the room. Times looked at Serenity and said "and If it does come true, I'm sure you would make a great princess."

 

Sabertooth wagged his tail and laid down on Scarlet's stomach. Sabertooth looked up at the sky.

Serenity smiles, "I hope so daddy, do you know I often see and talk with Princess Luna in my dreams?" She asks him, then finally finds the ball, "Found it daddy, um.. can you please help me out from under here, I'm kind of stuck" she giggles a little.

 

Scarlet had closed her eyes and was daydreaming.

Times got on his knees and looked under the bed. Times chuckled and said "Okay one second" Times moved some boxes out from under the bed and carefully pulled Serenity out from under the bed. Times smiled at Serenity "Looks like your a little dusty..."

 

Sabertooth just stared up at the sky.

Serenity giggled and hugged Times as tightly as she could, "thank you daddy" she says, then dusting herself off. "Come on, I know Sabertooth really wants to play fetch, he told me so" she says with a happy giggle and bounces away.

Scarlet slowly opened her eyes after finishing her daydream and silently sighed to herself. "One day Scarlet, one day" she thinks to herself.

Times looked at Serenity "Wait he told you so? When did you learn how to speak dog?" Times said chuckling and walking back to the backyard.

 

Sabertooth saw Times and Serenity coming back out and got excited when he saw the ball. He gave out a joyful bark,

"I could hear his thoughts, but it was also the way he acted when I said I wanted to play fetch" she says, still bouncing towards the backyard.

 

Serenity smiles and lifts the ball up to throw it, and lobs it half way across the backyard. Scarlet gets up and hugs Times, "Hello darling"

Sabertooth ran after the ball and caught it before it hit the ground. Sabertooth ran over to Serenity and laid it down in front of her. Sabertooth got ready for her to throw the ball again.

 

Times smiled at Scarlet and hugged her back "Hello"  Times looked at Serenity and Sabertooth.

Serenity giggles and throws it again, this time it goes a little further and she thinks "oops sorry Sabertooth"

 

Scarlet kisses him, "they're so precious together, almost like brother and sister. Say honey, I saw the look on your face when you came out here, what were you thinking about?"

Sabertooth retrieved the ball and took it back to Serenity, wagging his tail.

 

Times looked at her and said "Serenity said that Sabertooth told her that he wanted to play fetch, and that she could hear his thoughts." Times looked back to Sabertooth and Sabertooth. Sabertooth looked so happy and it caused Times to smile

Scarlet smiles too, "I see, but that could be her talent, being able to communicate with animals. I mean she has always had a love for them, and no matter whether they are a stray cat with kittens or a more wild animal, she has always been able to get close to them and not be harmed."

 

Serenity then thinks hard enough to Sabretooth, "Hey Sabretooth, if you can hear my thoughts, think back please"

Times smiled "She is lucky, last time I tried to befriend a wild animal I was chased by a bear." Times said looking at Scarlet.

 

Sabertooth thought 'I like playing fetch'  Sabertooth waited for Serenity to throw the ball again and wagged his tail happily.

Scarlet smiles, "She is, she may be staying the night by the way. Depends on how well the potion works for Shifter" She says, hugging Times again.

 

Serenity giggles and thinks, I know you do, and so do I. I love you Sabertooth. She then throws the ball a little further this time

"That's fine with me" Times said smiling at Scarlet. Times kissed Scarlet on the cheek and looked back to Sabertooth.

 

Sabertooth retrieved the ball and ran up to Serenity and thought 'don't throw it too far, It could go off the edge of the cloud and I don't want to fall off the cloud...'

Scarlet continues to embrace Times as they watch Serenity and Sabertooth play. "They're such darlings together, aren't they love?" She asks him with a smile.

 

Serenity giggles excitedly and thinks, Sowwy, that's as far I will throw it, now, who wants a belly wub?"

Times looked at Scarlet and said "They are," Times smiled and took off his glasses. He looked at Serenity and Sabertooth.

 

Sabertooth wagged his tail and thought 'I do! I want a belly rub! ME! pick me!!' Sabertooth hopped up and down and gave out a joyful bark

Scarlet giggles at the display of Sabertooth jumping up and down and barking joyfully.

 

Serenity giggles too and sits down, holding Sabertooth on his back and giving him a belly rub. A single tear falls from her eye and it accidentally hits Sabertooth on his soft little belly.

Times looked at Scarlet and said "You have the most beautiful laugh..."

 

Sabertooth felt the tear hit his belly and thought 'Are you sad? I can smell when you are sad.' Sabertooth sniffed where the tear landed on him and sniffed the tear 'yep, that's an emotional tear'

Scarlet blushes, "Aaw thank you sweetheart." she says giving him a kiss

 

Serenity smiles, and thinks, no silly, not sad, happy. That was a tear of happiness. I am happy because I am playing with you and because my mummy Scarlet is finally truly happy. She pretended to be happy before she met daddy Times but I knew she was faking it.

Times kissed her back and smiled.

 

Sabertooth looked up at Serenity and thought 'Why wasn't she happy?'

 

Times looked into Scarlet's eyes and his smiled got slightly bigger.

 

Sabertooth looked over to Times 'I can sense that since Scarlet has been around Times has been much happier also' Sabertooth thought

Serenity thinks, "She's been lonely, with nopony to truly love her, and her parents being dead since she was a foal." She thinks to him.

Scarlet looked into Times' eyes in return "You have the most gorgeous green eyes, almost like emeralds" she says, smiling at him

Times had a confused look for a second "Green, they look more Aqua to me. Also to tell you the truth, I wear contacts, I was born with eyes as red as rubies. but I began wearing them once I started to get picked on in elementary school because of them."

 

Sabertooth began to have a sad look 'Her parents are dead... Well at least she knew her parents. I never knew my parents.' Sabertooth thought

"Hmm could be the effect of mine" She takes off her contact lenses revealing that she actually had violet eyes.

 

Serenity hugs him close, She didn't know them for very long, I'm sorry you never knew yours, but you have daddy here, and I can tell he really loves you.

Times smiled and took off his revealing his red eyes. "looks like we both got our secrets." Times said looking into her eyes.

 

Sabertooth licked Serenity and thought 'You know just how to cheer me up'  Sabertooth gave out a joyful bark and licked her face again.

Scarlet put hers back in, "yes" is all she says, hiding behind her mane.

 

Thank you. Serenity thinks, and suddenly there's a flash of white light and an image of a puppy paw print appears on Serenity's flank.
She feels it and looks at it! "MUMMY! DADDY! LOOK!" she exclaims
