Ariel fluttered her little wings and hovered over to the table. "Well, Daddy's gonna fly in the competition!" she stated proudly, stamping her hoof lightly on the paper. She then looked around at the rest of her family, wondering if perhaps any of them would show interest in the competition.

"Maybe I could come and spectate." Rainbow offered. "I could totally make it." Blitz stated. "I'll see what I can do." Storm stated. "Well the competition is tomorrow." Thunder stated as he gently picked up Ariel, sat down, put her on his lap and began to stroke her fur lovingly.

Ariel smiled at all of her family members before making herself comfortable in Thunder's lap, closing her eyes and enjoying the feeling of him stroking her fur. She also flicked her ears cutely and made this little sound almost like a cat's purr before she giggled happily. Though the others were indeed her family, if one of them also decided to compete, she couldn't help but have thoughts of Thunder blazing though the competition and winning the whole thing.

Thunder continued to stroke Ariel's fur lovingly. He then nuzzled her gently. "Daddy loves you." Thunder whispered in Ariel's ear as he continued to stroke Ariel's fur. Meanwhile Storm was looking at his schedule. "Uh, Thunder? What time is the competition tomorrow. "It's at 10am tomorrow." Thunder stated. "That's two hours after my shift begins..." Storm stated.

Ariel giggled again, flicking her ears  once more before nuzzling him affectionately. Then she looked at Storm as he asked about the time of the competition, and she flattened her ears when he mentioned that the stated time was two hours after his shift began. "Aww... Does that mean you won't be able to come?"

"It depends if I could get a substitute. Or else I'll get a penalty if I call out." Storm stated. Thunder slowly rolled Ariel over on her back and began to rub her belly lightly and lovingly. "There's gotta be somepony who could take your shift over for the time." Blitz stated.

(OOC: Oh, my. I haven't had the chance to work yet, so I wouldn't know how that is...)

 

Ariel looked at Storm, listening to him for a short while and wondering whether or not he would be able to come to the competition after all. Then her attention was diverted from that altogether when Thunder started rubbing her belly. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the feeling, her short tail happily flicking this way and that, almost as if she were wagging her tail.

Thunder continued to rub Ariel's belly lightly. He then gave it a tiny little tickle. 

 

"If I could get Rain Dust to take my shift over for that time, that would be great." Storm Rush stated as he closed his schedule book.

(OOC: Eh, I still wouldn't want that. I'm the kind that always tried to avoid warnings and/or detentions in school at all costs. xD)

 

Ariel was still enjoying the belly rub when he gave a little tickle. She squeaked a bit, and then let out a silly giggle, smiling up at Thunder while Storm was sorting out the issue about work the following day.

"Oh you little cutie!" Thunder said nuzzling Ariel on the belly and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Rainbow giggled at this display of affection. Thunder then picked up Ariel and put her on Rainbow's lap. "Now you're on mommy's lap." Rainbow stated with a giggle.

Ariel giggled once more, nuzzling Thunder in return. She then made a questioning sound as she was moved from Thunder's lap to Rainbow's. After a moment, she looked up at Rainbow, gazing at her with those large, innocent eyes; the visible amethyst colored eye big and round, the left eye still covered by the bangs of her scruffy mane, which the filly seemed to persist in keeping that way.

"Hi!" Rainbow said cutely, giving Ariel's mane a gentle stroke. Meanwhile Thunder was reading a little bit more on the flight competition. "There are only ten slots so I'm gonna have to get there early if I want to get a slot." Thunder stated as he continued to read.

"Hi," Ariel echoed, giving Rainbow a little smile. She closed her eyes for a moment, relaxing when Rainbow stroked her mane; Ariel did indeed enjoy affection, having been so starved for it in her "past life" with her former parents. The filly then gave Rainbow a little nuzzle, returning the favor of affection.

Rainbow giggled cutely and nuzzled back. "Would you look at that, mother and daughter love." Thunder stated looking up to see Rainbow and Ariel bonding nicely. "Anypony want something to eat?" Thunder asked as he was about to get up and get something from the kitchen.

Ariel smiled and gently touched noses with Rainbow before letting out one more giggle. Then she looked over at Thunder when he asked if anyone wanted something to eat. She opened her mouth to answer, only for a little yawn to escape her, after which she clamped her hoof over her mouth.

"Looks like somepony's a little tired." Rainbow stated as she laid on the couch so she could snuggle with Ariel. "Awww." Thunder stated as he got up to go to the kitchen. There, he fixed a sandwich for everypony. He fixed plain sandwiches instead of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,

"I'm not tired, I'm just..." Ariel started to say, but was interrupted by another yawn. It had indeed been quite the eventful day for her - at least, by her standards. She gave no further complaint as she rested her head gently against Rainbow and snuggled her, enjoying the soothing warmth of the mare's fur.

Rainbow snuggled with Ariel while Thunder continued to fix the sandwiches. Soon they were finished. "Your sandwiches are on the table when you wake up." Thunder said softly to the two as he went to go relax with Blitz. Storm was still trying to find a way to get to the competition.

Ariel had quickly drifted off to sleep, snuggled comfortably with Rainbow. While the filly no longer suffered those terrible night terrors, certain images came to her in her dreams: the faces of her former parents. That alone was enough to startle her awake a short while later, and she nuzzled into Rainbow's fur for comfort as she shivered a little.

"It's okay. Mommy's here." Rainbow said nuzzling Ariel gently and continuing to snuggle her lovingly. Rainbow Dash laid on her back and placed Ariel on her soft belly, which she usually doesn't do. "Ugh...I don't think I could make it tomorrow. Rain Dust is already taking over for Cloudchaser." Storm stated.

Ariel soon recovered from her little fright as she was comforted by Rainbow, nuzzling the mare in return. Then, once placed on Rainbow's belly, the filly made herself comfortable at once, curling up almost like a cat would; folding her legs beneath her and tucking her tail under her chin as she closed her eyes and relaxed.

Rainbow fell asleep and started to snore very lightly. She wrapped her arms around Ariel. Suddenly, her stomach rumbled loudly, giving Ariel a small underside massage. Rainbow let out a cute giggle. "Looks like it's time for me to eat." She said with another giggle, patting Ariel on the head.

Ariel laid there, perfectly comfortable resting on Rainbow's belly, when she felt the little impromptu massage. She giggled from it before she opened her eyes and looked at Rainbow. Her stomach then gave a little growl of its own, telling her that it was also time for her to eat. "Looks like my tummy agrees with yours," she giggled.

Rainbow hugged Ariel and giggled at this. She then carried Ariel to the table and sat her down right across from her. Rainbow then began to eat her sandwich. Meanwhile Thunder was going over his flight routine in his mind. He had something very special planned for Ariel.

Ariel nuzzled Rainbow one more time before she was set down in a seat at the table across from Rainbow. She picked up her sandwich and started eating. She started thinking about the competition once more, wondering just how spectacularly Thunder would perform, and smiling to herself as she again imagined him winning like the champion she thought him to be.
